Evangeline’s POV

What all other things got changed in the past fourteen days, and why didn’t Diana share about it? I knew that I didn’t use to get enough time to talk with her, but she could at least give me a brief about everything.
‘Silas, what are you doing?’
‘Just waiting for you guys to leave so that I can check your AUNT EMMA’S room.’
‘Great.’
“Your friend. Silas. Is he going to stay here alone?”
“I guess so! Is that a problem?”
“As an Alpha, YES. He can’t stay here when no one is home.”, He said sternly, like an alpha of the pack. He had said that he trusted me, but that didn’t mean he trusted Silas as well. Understanding the situation, I reluctantly agreed, knowing that he was right at his place as an alpha.
“But I don’t have any clothes.”, My guardian’s head popped up into my field of vision.
“He was listening to our conversation.”, Daniel muttered, and a big frown appeared on his face. Then he looked at him. “No worries. I have a lot of new suits in my closet.”
After a minute, he returned from our room, holding one of his news along with a new shirt. He gave it to Silas but not before threatening him. “I’m thankful for your help the other day, which you did to my mate, but I won’t my ripping your head if I find out you are spying around my office.”, he said in his alpha tone.
“This is why I told you you should introduce each other.”, Silas said.
“As for now, please listen to him and try not to get kidnapped in the function.”
“As you say, Tigress!”, Bowing his head like an obedient person, he left them while my mate’s eyes were clouded with anger. I knew how to tame this angry beast, so I kissed his left cheek.
“Is it enough to calm down your anger?” I asked softly.
“No. It didn’t work, but a kiss on my lips might help.”, he said, still looking at me angrily.
“I know you are mad, jealous, and insecure, but at the same time, you are trying your best to trust..”
“I’m not trying to trust you, Evangeline.”, he said, cutting me in between. “I trust you. I never agreed to it before, but I trusted you from the moment my eyes landed on you. It’s just that I was so scared to lose you that I led my insecurities to win but deep down, I always trusted you. At first, it was because of mate bond or Roman, but now I can’t say the same reason.”, he added in a sincere tone. I couldn’t imagine him accepting his feelings.
But it was a good sign, right?
‘If he is taking a step, then we should motivate him.’, Ivory suggested. ‘Tell him that we love him.’
‘This early?’
‘Are you waiting for valentine then?’, She asked sarcastically. ‘There’s nothing called perfect time. The time is only NOW, so act while you can. Now come on, until and unless you guys will confess your love for each other, neither I fuck my mate or get fucked by him.’, She whined.
I didn’t know my Lycan was a horny bitch.
‘I heard that.’
“What happened, you are thinking now?” he asked in concern when I didn’t speak anything for a while.
“Nothing much; it’s just you are planning to make me fall in love with you by speaking all these sweets lines, then you are so wrong.”, I said in a serious tone, trying to hold my smile.
Healthy torture wouldn’t hurt, right?
Even he had hurt me by saying that he wanted me just for his wolf, even though it was nothing but a lie.
Immediately Daniel’s facial expression changed, and he looked like a lost puppy who had no idea what to say or where to go. “You.. you will never fall in love with me?” he asked in a barely audible voice.
“Nopppeee.”, I said, dressing on ‘pe’ a lot more than it was required.
“But why?” he asked desperately as if I had snatched his oxygen mask.
“Because I don’t know how to fall in love again when I had already fallen in love with you.”, I said with a smile on my face, but his expression didn’t change. Not even a bit.
“There is not a big theory behind it. You will automatically fall in love with me just like I…hold on!” he stopped and looked at me. “What did you?” he asked.
“What were you saying?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
Damn it! He stopped speaking just because of the right moment.
‘That’s KARMA. And she is a bitch just like me.’, Ivory responded, yawning lazily.
“I asked the question first. So, repeat what you just said before.”, he demanded in an alpha tone.
“Your Alpha tone is not going to work on me. So, don’t waste it by using it on me. And I don’t care who questioned first; I want my answer first.”, I fired back.
“Excuse me? And why do you think I will answer you first, huh?”
“Because of ‘ladies first’?” I muttered more as I asked.
“Seriously, guys? Everyone outside is waiting for you both, and you are playing ladies’ first game?” Nora spoke, stopping us from arguing more.
“I’m sorry.” I smiled that Daniel had accepted his mistake, but my smile vanished when he spoke about other things. “But…your sister-in-law is the one who picked to fight with me.”, Daniel added, pointing his finger at me.
“Excuse me? Who used his Alpha tone here?” I argued back.
“ENOUGH.”, Nora screamed. “I can’t let my one brother destroy the biggest day of my other brother. So, if sister-in-law is the problem, then she will be staying with me.”, She said, holding my wrist to take me with her.
I didn’t want to go anywhere leaving Daniel.
But before I could have stopped her, Daniel snaked his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. “MINE.”, he growled, showing his canines to Nora.
“You can’t stay together, and you can’t even leave away for her. Please try not to fight around the pack members when you come outside.”, Nora muttered, rolling her eyes. “Even Silas is ready. Come on, Silas.”
Once they left. Daniel spoke, “I see; you always look for an opportunity to go away from me.”
“I…”
“Can’t you say NO to Nora when she was taking you away from me?” he asked. I would have said that, but he beat me. “You are clearly enjoying this, aren’t you? But listen to me carefully that I’m not letting you leave me ever, ever, ever in this life and all your life.”, he said, growling at me in a low tone.
‘Even I want the same.’
“I..”
“Let’s go!”, Everyone is waiting for us.
‘Fuck! He didn’t even listen to me.’
I nodded my head and headed out in silence without talking to each other. I looked around and found a lot of werewolves outside. Ivory checked the scent of the werewolves, and she told me that there were werewolves of Fire Cross Pack as well.
When we started walking toward the area where our family members were standing, everyone’s gaze landed on us; after all, because of us, the ceremony was got delayed.
‘Silas, I have work for you.’
‘I’m listening.’
‘I want you to bring out the dungeon and bring her here.’, I ordered.
‘Consider it. Done.’
