Daniel’s POV

“What had happened, Angel?” I asked in concern. Did they hurt her?
“You could have the same question before instead of fuming like an angry bad wolf.”
“I’m sorry that I didn’t do this before, but can you please tell me now?”
“They thought to rape me, and then a vampire name Silas helped me by killing all those rouges. In all this incident, my previous dress got a few stains of blood. That’s why Silas got me this dress for me from god knows where. But It had the price tag on it, so I believe they were new.”, She said and looked at the torn clothes.
“Did he buy you the lingeries as well?” I roared, thinking about that part. I would find that Silas guy and kill him if he had bought my mate a pair of lingeries. “And where did you change your clothes?”
She slapped at my chest when she realized what I meant to ask. “My father’s pack is near there, so I changed my clothes there, and No, he didn’t buy me lingerie. It belonged to Aleena. She had a few new pairs in her closet.”
“Oh, Ow!”
“If, in any case, you will find any man near sleeping beside me, then will you question my character?”
“I…” I couldn’t answer her instantly. So, pushing me away, she walked toward the closet to get her clothes.”
“A heart once poisoned by suspicion has no longer room for love.”, She said without looking at me.
“I have my own reason for being like this.”, I explained, on which she looked at me coldly. She ‘Her body is in Pear shape. Have you noticed that?’ Roman asked.
‘Right now, I’m busy getting scolded by her.’, I responded, resisting the urge to reach out and grab her ass.
‘I wanted to bend her down right now and fuck her senselessly.’ Roman shared his feelings.
‘Shut up, Roman. Let me focus on another conversation right now.’, I said and focused on my answer, which I had to give to my Angel. She didn’t give a damn about wearing the clothes inside the washroom; instead, she did it in front of me.
“Doubt is good. It means you’re searching for truth. Suspicion is a sickness; it means you already made a negative conclusion.”, She said, on which I felt guilty now. “Fine! Say it!”
“Say what?”
“You’re sorry, aren’t you?”, She asked, to which I nodded my head. “Then say it, goddammit! What are you waiting for? A perfect timing?”
“I’m sorry.”
‘I’m glad that she always keeps you at your right place by her bossy attitude.’, Roman grinned. ‘And there goes my view.’, He added sadly when Angel was fully dressed.
She came toward me and held my hand into hers before speaking, “In a relationship, Trust is the foundation on which everything is built. Honestly and openness always leads to a successful relationship. However, every friendship, every relationship, is bound to fall apart when you start keeping too many things to yourself. Secrets don’t destroy things, but suspicion does. And your SORRY won’t be able to fix those things. So, better share your secrets and the reason behind your this nature or keep your suspicion to yourself.”
“I get it.”, I muttered, nodding my head. “So, what exactly happened?”
‘Brother, I need to talk to you.’ I heard Nora’s voice in my mind this time. Angel was about to speak when I showed her my hand so that she couldn’t wait for a while.
‘Can it wait? I’m in the middle of the something.’
‘No. It can’t. And if you won’t within a minute in my room, then you might end get losing your mate.’, She threatened.
Roman growled at the way she was talking with us. He wanted me to go and slap her for threatening us with our mate, but at the same time, he didn’t want to take any risk of losing our mate.
‘Where?’
‘In my room.’
“Something came up.”, I muttered, giving an apologetic smile to her.
“It’s fine. You’re an alpha, so I can understand. Never mind, I will wait because I want to share something important with you.”
“I will be back soon.”, Saying this, I marched toward Nora’s room in anger. I should have kept her hungry for a week instead of a day. I roared in anger, entering her room, “What the hell was…” but I was cut in between by my own voice.
‘…. I’m just following your suggestion. Didn’t you suggest yesterday that not all war can be won by violence; sometimes, loves helps as well. And when she will be madly in love with me, then after marking her, I can control her just in the way I want. Also, you told me that I can’t expect someone else to do something for me until and unless I do the same for others. So, the least I can do is ACT for a while. And not to forget, everything is fair in love and war.’
I looked at Nora in shock; she was playing with her phone playfully.
‘So, everything you’re doing is part of your plan? Not the effect of the mate bond?’
‘Of course not! It’s not the effect of the mate bond. You know it right that I don’t believe in all these silly things.’
“You were saying something, Brother.”, Nora said with a small smile on her face.
“NORA,” I warned. Whatever game she was playing, I wouldn’t leave her if I ended up losing my mate.
“Do you really think that you are in the state to threaten me?”, She asked with an evil grin on her lips.
I knew I was not in the position to threaten her, not after seeing the evidence she had in her hand.
‘And this is all your fault.’, Roman growled at me.
“Why are you doing this, Nora? You know that my mate will reject me after knowing all this.” I asked, my eyes locked on her phone. I was just waiting for an opportunity to snatch it from her hand.
“Don’t you think you should have to think about it by planning all this before?”, She questioned back.
“I’m not planning anything.”
“Oh yeah! Do you mean to say that the voice doesn’t belong to you? If yes, then I’m not going to buy that crap because this is not something which someone else gave to me, but I had placed my mobile in Aunt Emma’s room on my own.”, She sneered.
