Evangeline’s POV

When I opened my eyes the following day, Daniel was not beside me. I checked the time and realized that we were going for the training.
‘Even we need training. Though we’re strong but barely had any knowledge of fighting with the other wolves,’ Ivory said.
‘Hmm. You’re right. I know how to handle humans but not a werewolf.’
‘And for that, we need to share ALL this with our mate. Deep down, we both know that we can trust me. And if he turns out to be a jerk which I don’t think we will be, then we can reject him, you know.’, She said in a low tone.
‘But doing that will kill you too.’
‘Nah! It won’t. That’s a perk of Alpha Lycan. But that will be the last thing that I will ever do. I love my mate, but at the same time, I love my human too. So, if he will not behave right, count me in for kicking his ass.’
‘I love you too, Ivory. And I promise I will tell our mate about us in a day or two, but before that, I need to know where I come from? As per Mom’s diary, she had a wolf, not Lycan. So, do you think that…’
‘Our father can be like us?’, She asked the question I was thinking, but then I had seen Mr. Williams shifting into his wolf a couple of times, and trust me, he was nowhere like Ivory or even closer to it. Even though she was the female, the height of the Ivory was way bigger than him, and not to forget, she was damn so beautiful.
‘Well, thank you for the compliment.’ Ivory gushed. ‘But I want to hear this from my mate too. I want to hear these from Roman.’, She said in a dreamy tone. I didn’t say it, but I believed that soon her dreams would come true.
‘I think you should talk about it with Alpha Williams. Remember, mom had asked him to forgive him, and she was not mad at him. The first thing she wrote in the diary was to FORGIVE me.’ So, let’s start from there.
‘But I can’t forgive him.’
‘You can.’
‘I can’t.’, I screamed at her. ‘I can’t because I don’t want to, and I don’t know how to.’ She didn’t repeat anything about it. I sighed and thought about mom. I didn’t know anything about her family members or pack.
Why didn’t she share anything about it?
Or she did have to share that in that diary.
I didn’t want to agree, but only Mr. Williams had the answers to the questions I was seeking.
I had to meet him and talk about it.
‘I had said the same.’
After leaving the bed, I ran to the washroom to do my morning business. After an hour, I came downstairs and found both Aunt and Mom in the kitchen with an Omega, preparing breakfast for everyone.
“Good Morning, Mom and Aunt!” I greeted them and walked into the kitchen to help myself with the coffee.
“Good Morning Evangeline”
“Good Morning, Eva!”
“Do any of you want coffee?” I asked so that I could prepare coffee for others as well if they needed it.
“No. No.” I heard two NOs overlapping each other. I nodded my head and prepared the coffee just like I needed.
“By when will everyone be back from the training, Aunt?”
“They will be back after 45 minutes to one hour.”
“Oh!”
“Why do you ask that?”
“Because I have to leave for my parent’s place and then work.”, I responded. I heard them gasping in surprise, but I didn’t pay heed to them. I pulled out my phone and dialed Dan’s number. Hopefully, he would have taken his phone with him because I wouldn’t entertain if he would come to me later for an argument about not letting him before leaving.
I waited for a while for him to receive the call while two pairs of eyes were on me, giving me the feeling of creep.
“I’m busy, Angel. I will call you later.”, He said after receiving the call. No greeting, Nothing. He was using the nickname he gave, so I didn’t mind the other things. He was panting loudly, so it seemed like he was in the middle of the training.
“Yeah! Sure. I’m leaving for my parent’s place and then will leave for work from there.”, I said.
“Work?”
“Yeah! We talked about it yesterday.”, I reminded him. I could already imagine his furious expression. I would leave for work, that was for sure, but at the same time, I didn’t want to go after a fight.
“Fine!” he grumbled before disconnecting the call.
Mom was smiling from ear to ear, which was clear that she had heard our conversation, while Aunt was furrowing her eyebrow, wondering what Daniel said.
“What did he say?”, She asked.
“Nothing. He had no problem with it.” I smiled. I knew she wanted to lecture on this family rules and regulations, blah blah, blah, but she didn’t because since my husband didn’t have any problem with it, then neither should it be a problem for anyone else.
After finishing my breakfast and grabbing my bag, I was about to leave; that was when Daniel and his father walked in wearing shorts, thoroughly drenched in their sweats.
“Good Morning, dad.”
“Good Morning, Eva!”, Saying this, he walked toward his room, and mom followed him. I looked at Dan, who was staring at me coldly without saying anything. I knew he was drenched in sweat while I was wearing dress clothes after bath, but still, I walked toward him. Because for more reason, his sweat was not bothering me. I tiptoed and kissed his cheek.
“See you in the evening.”
“Hmm”
“Bye!”
