It is funny how she is talking about my dad being ill-mannered while using such a cheap move to disrespect the dead. Even if he was their enemy it was a despicable move.
My thoughts drifted from the despicable pair to Amanda when I noticed how her body stiffened emitting her fury. I grab onto her hand, before she could open her mouth, silencing her.
Her anger was not a surprise to me, after all my dad was her favourite uncle even among her very lovable sweet brothers of her father. He had pampered her just like how he pampered me. Same went for her father, who pampered me, as well as her father’s brother when they came to visit Amanda’s family. We were like a big family, when my parents eloped Uncle Nick’s parents accepted them with open hands when uncle Nick begged for his best friend.
It’s the appearance of these thoughts that makes me miss them even more. These memories and the words of the despicable pair makes the fury in me to raise as well.
But now is not the time to fight back. Even if their cheap words are like knife stabbing my heart, I cant give them what they want.
Cause the main goal of the pair is to see our outburst. Giving them more reasons to insult us and to kick us out blaming our upbringing, that way they could maintain their ‘best family’ reputation that we got to hear from the neighbours next-door.
But unfortunate for them, we are going to stay here to find the truth behind the accident, not to entertain them. Not just the accident that cost me my parents but of Ryder’s too.
But just because I don’t want to fall into their plan, I can’t keep ignoring it and be silent. Though my silence definitely would rile them up further.
But there’s something else that could make them explode in anger. That is-
—
You bitch!! Open the damn door before I kick this down.” Natalie and Dahlia screamed while they kept pounding on our door.
” The food was delicious. Isn’t it?” Amanda laughs as she lies on the bed enjoying their antics.
I don’t know why they are so furious. All I did was take their clothes and waste stuffs from supposed- to-be dad’s room and dumped into theirs, when they were preoccupied with their T. V. show. It would take them a whole night to clean all their shit. Plus I also threw some of their stuffs down from their window, which was directly in front of the noisy neighbours next door. They definitely got something to gossip about. Let’s hope Natalie’s reputation hasn’t been wrecked irreparably. Though their noise now would do the job.
“Was it too much?” I ask as I plop down beside her.
“Definitely not. I hated the way they looked down on us. As if we had crawled uninvited into their lives.” Amanda huffs.
“I hope grandpa wont be on the receiving end of her anger. We might have provoked her too much.” I sighed as I lie on one side of the bed, mentally noting down to properly apologize to grandpa for the mess.
” I feel sorry for your grandpa , he has been suffering her for far too long. Had you seen the way he zipped his lips tight from just the glare from the wicked witch.” She asks as she too laid on the other side of the bed.
” Yeah, I was thinking the same thing . Though I think there’s something missing. It’s as if grandpa is the only person in this house caring about my dad. I can feel too many secrets here.” I said as I close my eyes to let my sleep take over.
” I think so too. Time reveals everything.” She mumbled sleepily. She too must have been very tired after such a long day.
“Hmm. Night.” I said as the sleep takes over. I hope the cupboard is strong enough to hold the door closed from the 2 angry beasts on the other side.
