Ekaterina knew Ava used dark magic on Ana, so it would take a lot of work to save her life. Ekaterina quickly seals Ana’s wounds and tries to remove the burning fire in her body. As Ekaterina tried to save Ana’s life, she watched across the room as her mate fought the queen twin sister Ava and Theo battled the vampire king. Ava was not supposed to be alive. Everyone believed she was dead. Only we did not know she had been hiding in the vampire king’s castle all these years. Ava is the witch who cursed Theo. I know Theo is too busy trying to kill the vampire king; that’s why he has not attempted to capture Ava.
“Kyler, I am going to go back to the castle. Ana needs blood, and we don’t have it here. Tell Theo once he is done killing the vampire king,” Ekaterina shouts to Kyler across the room. He is closer to her than Theo.
“Okay, I will.”
Ekaterina creates a portal, but before she can pass through it with Ana, someone closes the portal and makes it disappear. Ekaterina knew only one witch in the world that could close another witch’s portal, the queen of witches.
“Hello, dear, it’s been a while since I last saw you,” The evil witch says with a smirk on her face. Ava must have told her sister Ekaterina was here. Witches can send messages to each other by using spells. Ekaterina feared her queen more than anyone else in the world. She was not just given the throne. She earned it for how strong she was.
“Kyler,” Ekaterina says, taking steps away from the queen.
Kyler heard his mate call his name. He quickly released Ava and ran to his mate. He knew she would only call his name in a time of great danger. As Kyler ran towards his mate, he saw the queen of witches shooting an ice arrow towards his mate. He quickly ran in front of his mate and took the arrow for her. He fell to the ground as the arrow pierced through his shoulder.
“Kyler” Ekaterina screamed as her mate fell before her.
“Go, now before she recovers,” Kyler urged Ekaterina that had tears flowing down her face. It takes a lot of energy to release the ice arrow she just did. This was Ekaterina’s only chance to leave with Ana, but Ekaterina did something else instead. She creates a shield made of her two elements to protect her mate and Ana. It was time she stopped running from the queen and ended this once and for all.
“No, don’t Ekaterina, please leave,” Kyler shouts at her, but she doesn’t listen. She steps out of the shield after giving her mate a little smile. She created a shield that only allowed her access in and out. She needed to protect her mate and Ana. She walked towards the queen with the determination to end everything today. The running away has to come to an end. Ekaterina was determined to leave here today as a free woman.
Theo continued to fight with the vampire king. He was stronger in wolf form, but it was too dangerous to shift right now. The two most powerful witches were here. The minute he shifts into his wolf would be the minute he loses his head, but he does not have a choice. This fight with the vampire king was not going anywhere. It’s better he died in wolf form. With that thought in mind, Theo shifts into his midnight wolf. He snarls his teeth at Nickolas, but before he can take any step, he hears Xavier whimper in pain. He felt his heart squeeze in his body. He fell to the ground and felt every single part of his body twist in pain. He looked ahead and saw Ava chanting words. She was killing him.
“How foolish can you be, werewolf king?” Nickolas says as he stands above Theo. This only made Theo angrier. Nickolas breaks a chair in the room and walks towards Theo with a wooden stake. He wants to plunge it into Theo’s heart. Theo felt his heart loosen a bit and his body stop twisting. He looked around the room and saw Ekaterina throwing fireballs at Ava. She got the witch to stop chanting a spell and gave Theo the chance to finally end the vampire king.
“It was easier to kill you than I thought,” Nickolas says, but before he can drive the wooden stake into Theo’s fur, something else happens.
Theo pretends to still be under the spell of Ava, and once the vampire king was close enough, he jumped up and landed on him. He pinned Nickolas to the ground and opened his mouth wide to capture his head between his teeth. Nickolas saw this and used the wooden stake to block Theo’s teeth from capturing his head. Nickolas and Theo continued to struggle against each other until Theo decided to stop trying to remove the wooden stake from his way and instead used it to his advantage. Theo captures the wooden stake in his mouth and drives it through the heart of the vampire king before he can understand what is happening. Theo rips his head out of his body the second his heart starts bleeding. Theo needed to make sure the vampire king never came back.
Theo shifts back to human form and runs to help Ekaterina after putting on some pants he found on the floor. She was fighting the two strongest witches in the world all on her own. He wondered how she was still alive.
“Ekaterina, I know you want to end this right now, but they are two of them. There is no way you can win,” Theo says as he stands beside Ekaterina.
“I know, so what do you suggest we do.”
“I will keep the witches busy while you create a portal to get us out of here.”
“Okay, make sure to cover me,” Ekaterina says, running back to her mate as Theo fought the two witches.
Ekaterina stepped into the shield and began creating the portal.
“Theo, it’s opened” Ekaterina shouted across the room as Theo dodged a fireball coming his way. He ran across the room to where Ekaterina was. She quickly took down the shield so Theo could walk in, and once he was in, she put it back up. Theo lifts Ana in his arms and walks through the portal first. Ekaterina helps her mate up and walks through it with him.
