EPISODE FORTY ONE
Locating the place wasn’t easy at all, They planned everything so well before they execute it.
Luca handled the wheel since I’m not in the right state of mind.
“You told mama?”Luca asked suspiciously.
I nod slowly and push my hair back. I wished I didn’t tell her, but she always catch up on things so fast.
Her eyes were laced with tears when i told her that Amanda has been kidnapped by the same people who ruined us years ago.
How we survived it, I didn’t know.
The last thing I would ever do on earth is to let anyone hurt Amanda but they are doing it again. They are ruining my girl again and I’m here doing nothing.
“Fuck.”I cursed under my breath angrily, I palmed my face slowly to stop the tears from streaming down.
“She will be fine. I’m assuring you this. She will…”
“You know Amanda. She tried commiting suicide many times. You knew the sleepless nights we had because of what Evans and Ricardo made her went through. Amanda will never be fine. I might lose her this time around.”
“We won’t. I will do everything to save her. I will….”
“Drive faster.”I cut him off calmly not knowing what to say again.
I don’t want to hear his assuring words anymore, They hurt so bad. I feel so guilty for letting this happen to her.
Fortunately, we got there as soon as possible, I didn’t even wait for Luca to park before I hop out of the car.
After making sure my guns and knives were well kept in my pockets, I walked closer to the building.
My legs keep failing me each time I take a step closer to the direction of the noise coming out of Amanda.
“Jesus Christ.”I mumbled under my breath.
Luca collided me intentionally, warning me to comport myself.
“We are almost there, dude.”He says, His eyes wandered around sharply as we entered the room where she’s locked.
The place is so dirty and unkempt. I can’t believe this is where she kept Amanda. I will never forgive Evans for this.
“Amanda!”Luca yelled in desperation as he set his eyes on her.
She was barely with any clothing, Her eye balls weren’t stable anymore, They roll aimlessly around, She’s obviously not in her right state of mind.
“Look who we have here.”Evans grinned taking off his jacket triumphantly.
“You son of a bitch!”He yelled angrily.
Luckily, Luca was able to get close to Amanda, but he wasn’t allowed to touch her.
Their men including Ricardo and Baron were there, glaring at me.
“What do you want from Amanda? Why did you come at us after years?”I roared in anger pointing the gun at them.
“If you know the right thing to do, Stay still and let us discuss it out. Or else, You will make me have no choice than to let your cute fluffy sister go through the same thing that whore went through!”Ricardo threatened butting the head of his gun on Megan’s lifeless body.
“The drugs and money. Give them to me.”Evans asked desperately, pointing his guns at me.
“You will never have them. I promise this you this.”I swore defiantly.
“What choice do you have here? You ran out of options already. Your sister will never snap out of this again. The best thing for you to do is to comply to my rules and let’s sort this smoothly.”
“I will never allow you to do that! The money was Amanda’s dignity. Her whole life and the demons she’s been fighting with you son of a bitch. The last thing I will ever do is adding salt to her wounds. I will never do that.”I swore again.
Baron pointed the gun at Luca, He grabbed his collar and pressed it at his skull more intimately.
Luca looked almost lost, His eyes were on Amanda who’s on the floor, breathing heavily, He didn’t bother to protect himself first.
“What do you think you’re doing?”Luca scoffed grinning darkly at Baron who looked at him like he’s grown two horns.
“What? You can’t talk? Are you annoyed someone like me can grin without getting insecure about their teeth? Or you’re picking on your late Mom’s behaviours again?”
“What are you talking about?!”He yelled angrily. Luca was obviously pressing his old wound in the worse manner, Baron hands were already shaking at this point.
“She locked herself to death. Remember? Like this?”He jabbed his left leg immediately making him lost grip on his gun, Luca pushed Baron to himself within a twinkle of an eye. He didn’t collect the gun from him until he tried pointing it at Amanda who was in Evans position.
Luca kicked it away from his hand, He placed his knife deeply to his neck making him have possession of Baron completely.
“Luca!”I shouted at him for no reasons.
Is he crazy?
“What….”
“You know, There are days I think the lord doesn’t want me to be here. He wanted to make me run mad, boil in anger, curse at everyone that comes my way because of how annoying they are. I didn’t know I will have such a golden opportunity to spend your last moments with you.”He grinned darkly, slicing his flesh carefully.
“Luca.”he groaned, fuming in anger.
“Amanda gave up on life. You know how hard it was watching her groan in pains every night because she was trying to birth your offspring?”He spat referring to Ricardo.
“She had nightmares. Of her locked in the soggy cells, crying and writhing in pains. We held it in all, Including Chad. Do you know how hard it was for him to be called by the mortuary attendants to come pick up the ashes of the man who battered Amanda’s life because Chad registered his name as his next of kin? That ashes, He stare at them everyday, He couldn’t throw it away because his mother will definitely ask for it.”
“Get the knife off him!”Ricardo yelled at him angrily.
Luca hands tightened the more around his neck, It was as if he’s being possessed, His eyes burned so much in anger and fury. As if he’s just letting out the anger he held in for years. v
“He had to go through all that torture alone!”He screamed in anger and slashed Baron’s throat immediately.
I walked closer to Evans slowly. I was already losing it at this point but it was so hard holding myself. I want to kill him right now, I want to end things with him not minding his daughter or whatever comes out of this. I want to ruin him.
“Stefa… My daughter.”He said confidently.
“Yes, Your daughter. What am I to do about her?”I punched him immediately.
“You will never get out of this!”He roared crawling away from me on the floor.
I pounced on him immediately, punching the hell out of his face in anger. Letting out the fury I held in myself for years. Unleashing them out.
“Stefano!”Luca yelled grabbing my hands immediately.
“Stop this. You will kill him.”He warned slapping my hands away.
“I’m not planning to let him leave this place in one piece.”I glared at him back.
I was about to resume punching him when I felt a sharp metal object sinking into my stomach.
I stared down at my lower body immediately just to see Evans stabbing me.
“You fucker!”Luca yelled in anger.
“This will be the end of this.”I said amidst deep breaths, trying to comport myself on him.
I raised my fists up in air but a familiar voice stopped me immediately. That same soft eloquent voice. Hazel.
She ran to me desperately crying as she keep calling my name.
“You monster!”She yelled at me in anger as her eyes went to her Dad on the floor.
Evans was already putting on a show in front of her beloved daughter.
“Ha… Hazel.”I stuttered coughing out blood.
Luca held onto me immediately, She knelt down beside us, Her eyes focused on her Dad.
“Ha…”
She pushed me roughly away from her father immediately making me crash in Luca’s arm.
“You devil!”I heard her yell at me. It felt like a distance apart from us. Her teary eyes were the last thing I saw before darkness enveloped me.
