EPISODE FORTY.
STEFANO.
I messed up again. She looks so fucking hurt and pained that I’d to put her through this trauma again. She clearly did not know who her father was, I wished she did. They made life so hard for Amanda that we couldn’t have a good time for ourselves for more than three years.
She’s just getting back to her feet. How would she feel if she realized that Hazel was the daughter of the man who turned her to this?
I dropped the phone tiredly on the bed, not knowing what to do.
Amanda has been kidnapped, which I’m surely aware of, I couldn’t even face Hazel who was still stark naked on the bed, bleeding.
How did I end up here? With her? Why did life have to be so complicated for me that I can’t even live a good life with the people I love and cherish again?
My phone started ringing again. Surprisingly, It was Labrinth.
“How did you lose them? I told you to always be on guard!”I roared, squeezing the phone in my hands.
“I’ve been shot. Two times.”She groaned painfully, Her words kept getting faint each time she tried talking.
Evans and Ricardo have been getting on my nerves lately! Those sons of bitches!
I know they didn’t do this on their own, Baron planned it with them.
“Fuck! Where are you now? I will come to meet you.”I say quickly grabbing my clothes.
“I wasn’t the target. Amanda was the person they were looking for. I tried to protect Amanda but she looked so terrified… after seeing t.. that- man.”She sobbed loudly over the phone.
“She’s yet to snap off it! Text me your last address and find your way to the safest and closest hospital near you. Send me a voice message once you get there.”
“Okay boss.”
“Labrinth.”I called after moments of silence as she was expecting me to cut the call.
“Make sure you survive. I won’t be paying for the expensive coffin to take you back home. I swear on my life, Labrinth, I won’t.”I cursed angrily before cutting the call.
“Is there something going on? What happened to Amanda?”Hazel asked, trying to get off the bed.
“Just fucking sit your ass on that bed and don’t try to move!”I roared throwing the phone angrily in her direction.
She gasped in shock and moved deeper into the bed, looking petrified.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Sorry.”She rushed her words, crying.
“Freshen up and wait for Mom to come check up on you.”I eyed her sharply, She only nodded as she watched me walk out of the room.
Shit! I’m surely getting out of this marriage. I really can’t become a better person because of her. It’s so hard trying to do that.
AMANDA.
I’ve never been this scared for the past five years, I couldn’t even think of escaping, It will be a nut job trying to do that.
I felt someone struggling behind me, The body kept on hitting me as the chain tying my hand down to my back kept slashing my flesh.
Cold chills ran through my body, I knew who owned the body immediately.
“Megan.”
“Amanda.”
We called at the same time. It dawned on me immediately that we had been kidnapped.
“What the fuck is this? How did we get here? I’m so screwed.”She sobbed like a baby.
The last thing I remembered was coming out of the mall with lots of shopping bags in our hands, Labrinth ran towards us and ended up on the floor, in a pool of blood, right in front of us.
We were unable to run to her, The masked men drugged us and wheeled us away from her.
I couldn’t even think of anyone who might have tried to do this.
“Megan. Is this happening again?”I sobbed, grinding my legs onto the soggy smelly floor.
We were caged in an abandoned room probably filled with dung.
Everywhere was so smelly and every part of my body hurts, But the fear coursing through my body at each second snapped my thoughts away from it.
I felt like I’m in a bind again.
“Never! Amanda! This isn’t happening again. You’re here with me. Megan. You’re not alone anymore, We are here together.”She shook me continuously.
My teeth clenched in coldness and nervousness, My head hurts so much, so bad. I couldn’t cry anymore, My eyes felt so heavy so my heart. My body hurts, I started hearing Megan’s voice from a distance, My body wasn’t reacting to the stimuli. I found myself slipping into darkness, My body went lax immediately.
STEFANO.
“She fucking told me to follow her to the mall but I didn’t want to. I thought she was just too whiney. I should have…”
“What was Marcos doing? And where the fuck is the Baron that we are supposed to meet today?”I yelled pacing to and fro in the hotel conference hall.
My echoes resounded in the empty hall, Lewis couldn’t even think of a better solution to this. At this moment, I knew damn well that I’m screwed and if I don’t look for a solution right now, Amanda will never be able to overcome this trauma again.
“I couldn’t trace Marcos. I tried it several times but it isn’t working.”Marcos returned to the hall frustrated.
I ran my hand through my head, frustrated.
“Give me your phone.”I stretched my hand to Luca who looked confused at first.
“Give me your fucking phone!”I rasped grabbing it from his hand.
I dialed Baron number immediately, He didn’t pick it up at the first ring.
I called him for the second time again, Luckily, He picked the call.
“Where the fuck are you? You said you’re meeting me today!”I yelled angrily.
“Woah. Chill. Did you call me because you wanted to meet me so bad or you were anxious because of your sister?”He teased, I could see him grinning over the phone as if he was mocking me.
I knew he was part of this from the beginning but I just couldn’t understand what was going on in his head that he agreed to support Ricardo in this.
“Where is Amanda?”I asked, taking a deep breath trying to control my rage.
“I will text you the address. Come over in ten minutes if you don’t want me to send a video of me banging the hell out of your sister.”He huffed before cutting the call.
