Kingsley was surprised for a moment. Then he narrowed his eyes, “Are you released upon completion of your sentence? Or are you calling me from prison?”
“I behaved well and was released three months in advance.”
Only then did Kingsley have a feeling that four years had passed.
“Thank you.” There was a warm and faint smile on Kingsley’s face, “Any more problems over there in the United States?”
“Currently not. I’ll call you if there is.” The man over the phone thought for a moment. “Relay a message to Karina King for me. If she plays a fucking dirty trick next time, I’ll let her have a taste of that feeling as well.”
“That kind of feeling?” Kingsley, who couldn’t hold back a laugh, “Is it true that you bent over there?”
“F**k off!”
“I will stop making fun of you.” Kingsley held back his laughter and became serious, “Help me look into someone in the US.”
“No problem. Send me the information. But I just got out of the jail and my movements are a bit restricted.”
“It’s a rather dangerous man. I’ve heard that he’s gone to the United States over the years.”
“I’ll still be here for a while. And I’ll help you when I have time.”
“Okay,” Kingsley nodded and spoke after a moment of silence, “Jaden, Ashley got married earlier this year.”
Over the phone, Jayden Sutton fell into silence and finally spoke in a somewhat sad voice, “I know. It’s me who owes her.”
Ashley Brook was his fiancée. But she had canceled her engagement with him after he was imprisoned and now married someone else as well.

Kingsley hung up the phone and stood in front of the huge French window, looking at the starry lights in the city.

Kingsley was at rest, which was rare. He was not in the habit of sleeping late. So he got up early and watered the plants in the greenhouse.
Nora stretched out her hand and waved at him, “Good morning!”
Kingsley put the kettle to the side and nodded, “Yeah!”

“Didn’t you need to go to the office today?”

It was a general manager of a small-sized company whose name was Orson Hodge who had asked Kingsley out. He was usually called Orson or Boss Hodge in the business circle. He had been waiting in the golf course early and awaited Kingsley’s arrival.
With a golf club that had been ordered and sent back from Germany some time ago in his hands, he hurried forward as he saw that Kingsley was coming over.

Kingsley smiled calmly. But his smile wasn’t a warm one. He pointed to the sun umbrella on the other side and said to Nora, “Sit there!”
Nora looked around and found that there were neat sun umbrellas in the pitching shot area. Although it was autumn, the sunlight was quite strong.
Under the sunshine, various European-style buildings in the club looked luxurious and splendid. And the lawn on the golf course in the distance was as green as a tarp.
