“It burned like this and doesn’t hurt?” Aaron glared at Vanessa.
“I mean it.”
Vanessa was telling the truth.
She can’t feel much pain since childhood.
Unless her bones were broken, she wouldn’t feel a tiny bit of pain.
And burns of this degree were really not a big deal compared to what she had experienced.
Seeing that Aaron was still worried about her, she comforted him, “I’m okay, it doesn’t hurt at all. I’ll be fine.”
Vanessa found an ointment from her suitcase, squeezed out the paste and was going to apply it to the wound.
“What’s this?” Aaron asked.
“Healing burns.”
Aaron still wanted to ask something, but looked at Vanessa’s calm face, he subconsciously believed her, “Let me help.”
Just as Vanessa wanted to say no, she saw the man’s insistent look and had to say yes.
Aaron carefully rubbed ointment on Vanessa’s wound, as if he was treating a porcelain doll.
The light green ointment had a minty fragrance. After Aaron put the ointment on Vanessa, he saw Vanessa’s hand that was full of fire blisters slowly recovered fair and tender as before.
Aaron was surprised and looked up at Vanessa, “You also know pharmacology?”
Vanessa nodded.
Aaron was obviously intrigued, “What else can you do that I don’t know about?”
Vanessa glanced at him, put away the ointment, and said slowly, “You’ll know sooner or later.”
Aaron hit a wall but was not angry. Instead, he was getting more and more curious about Vanessa.
He found that Lamb had more and more secrets about her.
But it’s okay, there’s still time.
After taking care of Vanessa, Aaron pushed her into a bedroom, which was all cleaned up when he was still living here before.
When Vanessa walked to the door of the room decorated in pink, she did not know whether to step in or out.
Aaron observed her reaction and thought she liked it too much. He hooked his lips, “You like it?”
Vanessa pulled a long face.
Did little poor lad just buy these pink pussy things with her money?
But looking at the man’s face full of expectation and enthusiasm, Vanessa spoke against her will, “Yes.”
“Good.”
Aaron hooked his lips in satisfaction.
Of course, he was the one who knew Lamb’s preferences best.
“Nighty-night, Lamb.”
“Night, Dick.”
Suddenly, Aaron thought it sounded ridiculous.
Late at night.
The Simmons Mansion was still in chaos.
Queenie’s room was crowded.
“Stop crying!” Sebastian was both annoyed and angry, and couldn’t help but yell at Queenie.
Queenie’s tears were stopped in shock.
Elise immediately held Queenie in her arms and cried, “Honey, why are you yelling at her? Her hands are burned like this!”
Sebastian lit up a cigarette in annoyance.
Both daughters worried him!
“Enough!” Sebastian softened his tone anyway when he looked at Queenie’s bandaged wrist, “It’s late, you go sleep first. Don’t worry, Dad will make that ungrateful daughter pay the price.”
“Thanks, Dad.”
Queenie said as she held back her tears.
Elise was still worried about her little girl. Just as she was about to say something, Sebastian glared at her. She could only swallow what she wanted to say in her stomach.
“Queenie, get some rest, I’ll take you to the hospital tomorrow.”
“Thank you, Mom.”
Sebastian and Elise left.
Queenie looked at the bandages on her hands and the bursts of pain coming from them and bit her lips, her heart full of resentment.
How dare that damn little bitch do this to her!
Had she known at that time, she should have poured makeup remover on Vanessa’s face to make her disfigured for good.
