“I don’t need an apology.”
Vanessa suddenly spoke with a calm face, “I just need her to pay the same price as me.”
Queenie’s face changed.
Paying the same price? Wouldn’t that mean burning her hands to full of fire blisters too?
“Dad…” Queenie said pitifully.
Sebastian glared at Vanessa, “Vanessa, you are ruthless! Queenie has said she didn’t mean to and I asked her to apologize to you, do you have to let her hands burn like yours too?”
Vanessa bowed her head and did not speak.
While everyone wasn’t watching her, she suddenly picked up the half bottle of makeup remover, poured it on Queenie’s hand, and lit the lighter.
Queenie instantly let out a mournful scream.
Sebastian tried to put out the fire in hurry-scurry, but still too late. Queenie’s hand was red like a boiled shrimp skin.
He looked at Vanessa, as if he was looking at a monster, and said tremulously, “You, how could you do this to Queenie? You crazy bastard! Get the hell out of here!”
Elise learned that Queenie was burned and also rushed over. When she saw her daughter’s hand burn like that, she almost fainted and howled.
“Honey, you must do something for Queenie…”
Sebastian was trembling with anger and pointed his finger at Vanessa, “Get the hell out of the Simmons family! From now on, I, Sebastian, do not have you as my daughter!”
Vanessa dragged her suitcase and walked away without looking back.
Standing on the open road, her figure was drawn by the streetlight at an oblique length. Vanessa thought for a while and made a call to Edgar.
It was picked up quickly, “Hello, what’s up, boss?”
Vanessa then calmly told Edgar what happened in the Simmons Mansion. Edgar’s cursing voice came from the other side of the microphone, “Fuck, this damn bastard! Wait for me, I’m coming to get you!”
Vanessa hung up the phone and waited quietly.
Honestly, she didn’t like this so-called home, and more than that, she felt she had done nothing wrong.
But why did her family tell her she was doing it wrong?
Clearly, she only made Queenie pay the same price as her.
Queenie could do that to her, why can’t she? How did that make sense?
Soon, Edgar arrived. When he saw Vanessa’s hand was full of fire blisters, he felt really bad about it. He patted Vanessa’s shoulder and said confidently, “Boss, your Dad doesn’t care about you, I do. Come live with me, I’ll get you covered!”
“You wish.” Vanessa refused coldly.
“Send me to the Phantom Court.”
Edgar scratched his head, “You’re going to live there?”
Vanessa nodded.
She promised the master to come back to the Simmons family. But since it’s gotten this way now, there’s no point in her continuing to stay there.
“Alright then.”
Edgar sent Vanessa to Phantom Court and left.
And Aaron, who also got the news, immediately rushed over.
“What brings you here?”
Vanessa looked at the man who suddenly appeared in front of her, unexpectedly. Aaron’s gaze fell on her hands full of fire blisters, his face suddenly became cold, and then looking at her hands carrying the suitcase, he instantly understood everything.
“Let’s get inside first.”
He then said to the maid, “Go get the family doctor.”
“Does it hurt?”
Aaron carefully held Vanessa’s hand, and his heart ached for her. He watched Vanessa’s calm little face and suddenly became angry, “Are you really this stupid without me? Why didn’t you call me when you were bullied?”
Vanessa blinked.
She’s smart.
Although she didn’t know why the man was angry but still helped her call for a doctor, she comforted him, “It doesn’t hurt, no need to call a doctor.”
