Dylan was also surprised because Dylan had thought that Alice agreeing to Jorge’s request by accepting the money would mean she accepted it, but he hadn’t expected the girl to refuse.
Dylan was a little surprised that things had taken a 180 degree turn. He looked at Alice, who was grinning like a fox, and couldn’t help but smile inwardly as well. He thought to himself, Kennedy really likes unusual women… Dylan chose to trust Kennedy.
Alice, a woman who could make Kennedy love her so deeply, meant there must be something beyond the ordinary about her, so she wouldn’t have taken the money and left Kennedy.

George snapped and snarled at her, -You don’t call me Grandad!
Alice blinked and put on an innocent expression, -Why? Grandpa, you just met me and you gave me such a nice red envelope, I should be polite to you too.

But before Jorge could finish his sentence, Alice went out and the room was silent, no one dared to speak.
In this silence, Jorge finally couldn’t resist asking Dylan, -Where did she go?
Dylan thought about the conversation that had just taken place and said uncertainly, -Could she have gone to make you some tea?
Jorge was confused, -What tea? Would I drink the tea he gave me?
Dylan coughed softly and couldn’t resist explaining for Alice, -I think she’s a very smart girl.
Hearing her compliment, Jorge felt disgruntled because he still wanted Kennedy and Zoe Espinar to get married. So he replied,

Jorge’s tone was firm and Dylan couldn’t help but worry for Alice upon hearing these words. After all, Mr. Jorge was a successful businessman who knew a lot of tricks, and Alice was really too naive. Although Jorge had erased Alice and Kennedy’s past and had prevented Alice and Kennedy from being together by getting Kennedy engaged to another girl. But Jorge was Kennedy’s family and he was also Kennedy’s grandfather. Dylan came back into the room from his thoughts, looked at his master, then at the cup of tea, and reluctantly approached him and said,
-Miss Alice, since you have taken the check, I suggest you leave our company. Only a few people know about this now, saving your face, and if you insist on not leaving, then….
Alice answered and said to Jorge,
-Grandfather, do you mean to tell me to take the day off?
Neither Jorge nor Dylan knew what to answer. But Jorge managed to find a shred of common sense in the face of such a rhetorical question and said,
-Dylan, tell him straight to the point.
Dylan nodded his head, stepped forward and said solemnly,
-Miss Alice, our husband wants you to take the money and leave the company and leave us the Carlos family, there is enough money in that check for you to live a rich life for the rest of your life. -I have the ability to earn money, Mr. Jorge, please don’t worry about my future, and I thought this check was a gift from you, and since things are not what I thought, I can’t accept it,” She then put the envelope back on the table.
Everyone present was surprised that he had returned the envelope. It was the equivalent of returning the money to Mr. Jorge, which meant that she would not leave Kennedy for it, and thanks to this gesture, Dylan was a little more impressed with Alice.
But Jorge was not pleased, and said fiercely,
-How dare you return a check you’ve already received?
Alice smiled and replied, -I wouldn’t have taken the money unless it was a gift you didn’t ask for in return.
George narrowed his eyes as he watched Alice, who had maintained a calm demeanor from the time they met until now. And there wasn’t the slightest hint of fear. Alice’s character was a surprise to Jorge, as she faced every problem that came her way calmly and always had a solution.
Actually, Jorge admires Alice because she is much better than those girls who just run away or cry when things get difficult. But it’s a pity!
-When you went to make the tea, did you open the envelope yet?” asked Jorge, but before Alice could answer, he added, “Do you think I gave you less money? Tell me how much money you want. I will give you all the money you want, provided you are willing to leave Kennedy.
George uttered these words generously, as if he could do everything in the world with money.
Alice could not help asking when she heard these words,
-Mr. George, if I am willing to leave Kennedy, will you grant all my requests?
Jorge looked at Alice with displeasure and nodded his head. Dylan, on the other hand, felt that things were not so simple, because he felt that Alice was not one of those ordinary girls. And the look on Alice’s face and the tone of her voice made it seem like she wasn’t really making a request.
Undoubtedly, the next words she uttered took everyone present by surprise.
