Alice entered the elevator.
Lolita pressed number five and soon the elevator doors closed.
Alice looked at the bouncing numbers and, sensing that something wasn’t quite right, asked, -By the way, why don’t the others take this elevator? Well, that one is already full, but there are very few people here.
Hearing this, Lolita couldn’t help but laugh.
-You don’t know?
-What? -Alice was curious.
-This elevator is not for the regular staff.
-Why?
-You really don’t seem to know anything. This is the special elevator for the president of the Carlos Group, not to mention us interviewees, even official employees don’t dare to take it.
-But we are…
-Calm down,” Lolita smiled and said, “I found it by chance while I was looking for a bathroom, then I checked the company’s forum and made sure. Relax, nothing will happen, we’ll leave when we get to the 15th floor. The boss only takes this elevator during his commute, so we won’t be unlucky enough to run into him.
Just as he finished speaking, the elevator stopped on the 7th floor.
Alice was speechless.
-What’s going on?
“My God, what bad luck!”
Lolita froze, watching the elevator doors slowly open on both sides.
At that moment, she even felt that the door in front of her led to hell.
Lolita muttered inwardly to herself, “Why did I take this elevator for convenience? Why did I say those things? I don’t want to involve this woman I just met.”
The elevator doors opened and a couple of men in suits walked in. They froze for a moment at the sight of the two women, but said nothing.
The two women reacted quickly.
Lolita backed herself into a corner and Alice stepped aside with a mean expression to give them room.
When she saw the last person enter, she instantly became very nervous.
How could it be him?
Alice almost lost control of herself and wanted to hug him, but quickly came to her senses.
“Kennedy has lost his memory, he doesn’t recognize me,” she said to herself in her mind.
If she had hugged him, he would have simply told his men to take her away.
Besides, he had been out of line with his behavior at their first meeting.
Alice turned sideways before Kennedy could see her.
However, space was limited in the elevator and Alice could only say quietly, “I hope Kennedy doesn’t see me.”
She had taken the president’s elevator before she even became an official employee of the Charles Group, and she wondered if she would ever have the opportunity to join the company.
If Kennedy remembered her and had his men take her away, her plans would be thwarted.
Alice knew Kennedy well; he used to be only kind to himself and indifferent to others. And now that he no longer recognized Alice, did he retain his old personality?
“I hope not,” she mentally prayed.
-Huh?
Kennedy didn’t look at them when she entered, because the attendants were also in the elevator, she had to face the doors.
Someone asked Kennedy in English.
-Is this your special elevator?
Kennedy nodded indifferently.
-Then why are there Spanish girls here? Are they employees you hired from Spain?
Alice, who only wanted to pretend she didn’t exist, couldn’t say anything.
This man talked too much. Originally, Kennedy didn’t even react, as if he hadn’t seen her, but this man mentioned her.
Kennedy frowned at the word “girl,” and soon sensed something was wrong.
As he entered the elevator, he thought he smelled something at once familiar and unfamiliar, something that smelled not of a man, but of a woman. This did not bother her, but the man reminded her.
Kennedy turned around and saw Lolita in the corner. As soon as she saw Kennedy’s eyes, Lolita threw up her hands and ducked her head in fear.
-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to take this elevator… I’m sorry.
Alice unconsciously ducked behind one of the tall men, who was right in front of her.
Alice secretly apologized, “Lolita, please forgive me. I can’t let him see me, I have to help him regain his memory and then I’ll take him home, we won’t be here long.”
Alice knew it was selfish, but she was actually too scared.
She had waited for Kennedy for over a month and although he was safe, his memory loss had hit her hard. If she missed this opportunity, she didn’t know if there was anything else she could do.
Kennedy frowned unhappily at the woman. Her hard eyes were like the edge of a knife. A shiver ran down Lolita’s back, her scalp tingling, and she stammered an apology.
-Stop looking at her like that, you’ll scare her,” said the other man. Hello, beautiful, my name is Anthony Collazo.
He extended his hand towards Lolita as he spoke, trying to greet her in a friendly manner.
Lolita couldn’t say anything, she just blinked, feeling more and more afraid, and under Kennedy’s icy stare she was absolutely afraid to shake Anthony’s hand unless she didn’t want to live.
Despite Kennedy’s terrified stare, she did not speak.
The elevator slowly rose. The atmosphere was eerie.
Alice peered up to see the floor number.
They were going to the fifteenth floor, while Kennedy and the others were going to the twenty-first.
The elevator would stop at the fifteenth floor and no men would get out as long as Alice and Lolita got out. So Kennedy would definitely see Alice.
What to do?
The elevator was about to reach the fifteenth floor and slowly stopped.
