Naturally, Yanis followed.
The room was quiet, and on the bed lay a man with his whole body bandaged, even his face, with only two eyes left.
This appearance had made it impossible to recognize who he was.
Zain stared at the bed for a moment, turned helplessly to Yanis, who was behind him, and said coldly, -Go and get me someone here.
-What’s wrong?
Yanis sensed that something was wrong, -Didn’t he tell you that the doctor said that not too many people should come in and disturb?
-I’m here to confirm his identity, how does he get wrapped up like this,” he pointed to the white ball on the hospital bed.
-Didn’t he tell you that his whole body is wounded? Even wrapped up like a ball, it’s something normal.
Zain stared at her.
-Now you contradict me?
-No, how dare I? I’ll call someone right away.
So Yanis went out.
After listening to her elaboration, the man outside scratched his ears with a pained expression, and after a moment said, -Am I going to ask the doctor to come and remove all the gauze from her body?
At these words, Yanis could not help but stare.
-Are you crazy? The doctor had a hard time wrapping him up like that, and you got the doctor to remove the gauze from his body, either you are crazy or the doctor is crazy, otherwise how could the doctor agree to such an unreasonable request on your part!
-But there is no way to identify people if the gauze is not removed. But…
This man was a bit hesitant.
-But what?” Zain’s gaze turned to him.
This guy hesitated for a while before saying, -Even if the gauze is removed, you probably won’t recognize the injuries on his body and those wounds on his face that are already bloody, and you may not be able to bear it in your heart.
Zain’s brow furrowed harder.
It seemed that this was a really serious wound, in which case the gauze could not be removed indiscriminately, or else it would cause the wound to deteriorate and what if life was lost?
What would he tell his sister then?
Thinking about it, Zain could only open his mouth again, -Did the doctor say again, about when the gauze would be removed?
-I guess it will take a few days to keep them on.
-Okay, I got it, you can come out first.
The young man nodded, then turned and walked out.
When he had gone out, Zain’s eyes rested on Yanis’ face, -Things are still shaky, don’t talk nonsense in front of Alice.
Yanis hastened to nod, -Don’t worry, even if you don’t give me instructions, I know what to say and what not to say. With Kennedy hurt like this, it’s best not to let Alice know we’ve found him.
-Now that you know, you don’t need me to bother reminding you.
Yanis gave a little pout of displeasure.
-I’m not stupid, how can I not understand these things?
-What did you say?
As she had just made a very small noise, Zain didn’t hear her clearly.
-Nothing,” Yanis shook his head.
Saying this and bowing his head in great frustration.
It seemed that after Zain’s rejection, he had become more and more of a wimp in front of her.
And the way he was treating her, he was becoming more and more indifferent.
How sad, it seemed that all this effort had been for nothing, he hadn’t gotten closer to her at all.
Instead, he seemed to be moving farther and farther away.
As he thought, Yanis looked over at the person lying in the hospital bed.
Was he really that badly hurt? She peered from the toe to the top, and then realized that the other man’s face looked familiar, despite being wrapped in gauze.
Yanis startled for a moment and looked at the man in some disbelief.
“Why does he feel completely different from Kennedy?”
Normally, when she saw Kennedy, Yanis was like a mouse that saw a cat, not because she was too shy, but because Kennedy’s aura was too powerful and cold.
But the man lying in the hospital bed at that moment didn’t give Yanis that feeling, was it because of the gauze wrap? Did the gauze wrap him with that aura?
Yanis was still deep in thought when he heard a cold voice.
-Go away.
-Yanis turned to find Zain already walking toward the living room door and froze.
-Now?
-What else, do you want to stay?
Yanis shook his head reflexively.
As he made his way to the ward door, Yanis couldn’t help but glance back towards the person in the hospital bed, reaching out to rest his chin.
“So strange, how this person feels gives me a very familiar feeling, not at all Kennedy’s kind of feeling…. It’s too familiar to me.”
-What’s all the fuss about? Come on.
Zain’s urging voice came a short distance away and Yanis came back to reality, quickly following Zain and then continuing on foot behind him like a small tail.
The two walked like that for a while, but Yanis couldn’t resist asking, -Hey, I have a question for you.
-What’s the problem?
Yanis thought back to the figure she had just seen and still felt strange, so she relayed her thoughts to Zain, who couldn’t help but frown at what she said, -What?
-I didn’t mean anything else, I was just exposing my feelings, after all, the man was covered in gauze and unrecognizable, so….
Zain’s footsteps suddenly stopped and Yanis didn’t see him stop because he was thinking, so he hit his back once again.
Yanis covered his nose and forehead with a painful smack and looked helplessly at the person in front of him.
-Why did you stop again?
Zain turned around and his deep gaze rested on her face.
-Did you have to go behind?
-Huh?
-Walk to the front.
His voice was not angry, but it conveyed a self-imposed authority that soon made Yanis obey him and walk obediently towards him.
The two continued on their way, only this time it was Yanis who walked ahead, Zain quickly followed in her footsteps and caught up with her.
-What does what you just said mean?
Yanis was speechless. She had thought he didn’t care at all.
-I didn’t mean anything else, I just thought it was strange.
-Are you trying to say that the man isn’t Kennedy at all?
Yanis’s eyes widened and he stopped short to shake his head vigorously.
-I didn’t say that.
She wouldn’t dare make a casual remark, just a suspicion.
