Hearing this, Jimmy was more displeased and said impatiently, “You two go to the hospital first! The wound on his hand is serious. He must have been to the hospital that day. Check the surveillance videos of the hospitals to catch him.”
“Okay,” the two said in chorus.
“Wait!” When the two subordinates were about to leave, Jimmy suddenly thought of something and stopped them, saying, “Keep an eye on Tim. I still think he is most likely to be the helmet man.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“By the way, where is York? Haven’t you found him?” Jimmy asked, brows frowning.
The two subordinates looked at each other and lowered their heads. Then one of them said, “No. It’s like he has disappeared from the world. We went to all the places that he was likely to go to search for him but failed to find him.”
Upon hearing this, Jimmy gritted his teeth irritably and said, “This guy ran away again. Forget it. You two must leave now and find the helmet man first.”

While driving, Eva discreetly observed Cristofer through the rearview mirror on occasion. She pondered, ‘Mr. Hans, you were in high spirits when we set off, even urging me to drive faster. Why the sudden change to such a gloomy mood? Could you have had another argument with Miss Hudson?’
In the backseat, Cristofer sat with a somber expression, his eyes shut. Eva didn’t dare to initiate conversation, given his disposition.
“Eva,” Cristofer suddenly addressed her, still with closed eyes.
“Mr. Hans, how can I help you?” Eva replied.
Cristofer slowly opened his eyes and inquired, “May I ask you a question?”
Taken aback by his tone, Eva responded, “Mr. Hans, please don’t suddenly start being so polite with me. It’s not something I’m used to. It’s actually sending shivers down my spine.”
Cristofer, rubbing his temples in exhaustion, continued, “Is it possible for two people who have broken up to get back together?”
Eva retorted playfully, “Of course they can. When I find my boyfriend, we’ll get back together!”
“Wouldn’t you mind if he disappeared without a word and didn’t contact you for all these years?”
Eva quipped, “I’d mind, alright. So when I find him, I’ll give him a piece of my mind and ask why he vanished!”
Amused by her response, Cristofer couldn’t help but smile.
“Mr. Hans, why are you laughing? Do you think I’m too childish?” Eva inquired.
“No,” Cristofer replied, “Your boyfriend is one lucky guy. He should have valued you more.”
“I agree,” Eva nodded.
With this brief exchange, Cristofer closed his eyes to continue resting. Before long, they arrived back at the company.
After parking the car, Eva suddenly remembered something and said, “Mr. Hans, we received a sum of money in our company’s account this morning. I checked it, and it’s not from any of our clients but rather from an unknown source.”
Hearing this, Cristofer furrowed his brow and inquired, “From an unknown source? Have you contacted the person responsible?”
Eva nodded and informed him, “Yes, I reached out to him. He claimed that the money was a final payment for the second-hand Porsche he purchased.”
“A second-hand Porsche? It sounds like he might have transferred the money to the wrong recipient. Please arrange to return the money to him,” Cristofer instructed.
“Of course, Mr. Hans.”

Since Cristofer had gone to the Hudson Group to see Estelle, his workload had accumulated by the time he returned to the company. Back in his office, he began methodically addressing his tasks.
A few minutes later, Eva returned from the financial department looking puzzled. She said to Cristofer, “Mr. Hans, I returned the money to that man, but he transferred it back to us.”
Hearing this, Cristofer furrowed his brow and inquired, “Did you explain to him that he had transferred the money to the wrong recipient?”
“Yes, I did. He claimed that he intended to transfer the money to a foreign personal account belonging to someone named… Estelle Hudson. However, there seemed to be an issue with the account, so he accidentally sent it to our company’s account.”
Upon hearing this, Cristofer immediately set aside his work and focused on the matter at hand.
As Cristofer stared at her, Eva couldn’t help but swallow nervously and continued, “If Miss Hudson is the seller, maybe she provided the buyer with two bank accounts – one is hers, and the other is our company’s. The buyer might have failed to transfer the balance to her account, so he mistakenly sent it to our company’s account.”
Cristofer shook his head in response, saying, “Estelle couldn’t be the seller; she’s never owned a car.”
Eva looked puzzled and asked, “Then why would someone associate Miss Hudson’s account with our company’s account? Did you sell a car and ask the buyer to transfer the money to her account?”
Cristofer was momentarily speechless. Then he chuckled and said, “Do I look like someone who needs to sell a car for extra cash?”
Eva quickly backtracked, “No, Mr. Hans, I didn’t mean that! Since the payee accounts are Miss Hudson’s and our company’s, it implies that the car’s seller knows Miss Hudson and has a connection to our company. You’re the only one who could know Miss Hudson’s account, so I assumed the seller might be you. Mr. Hans, have you ever purchased a Porsche before?”
Cristofer nodded and explained, “Yes, but due to heavy rain three years ago, all my cars parked in my underground garage were waterlogged and ruined.”
Eva expressed sympathy, saying, “Oh my God! Seeing your beloved cars damaged like that must have been heartbreaking.”
Cristofer shook his head, saying, “I was actually hospitalized at that time because of a car accident. When I was discharged and returned home, the cars had already been cleared out, and the garage was empty.”
Eva was surprised, “You lost a significant amount of money, but you didn’t feel sad at all? You really are the wealthiest person I know. I wish I could be as wealthy as you.”
Cristofer’s expression suddenly darkened as he considered a possibility. “Eva, please help me arrange a meeting with the buyer. I need to ask them something,” he said in a serious tone.

At eight o’clock in the evening, Cristofer and Eva went to Atlantis Seafood Restaurant.
“Mr. Hans, he has arrived,” Eva stopped the car and said gently.
“Okay,” Cristofer said as he stepped out the car door.
“Mr. Hans, do you need me to wait for you here?” Eva asked.
“No. You may go to pick up Star first.”
‘Star? Who is Star?’ Eva thought in confusion.
