Chapter 285: Don’t Repeat Your Mistake

Book:Honey, Love Me One More Time Published:2024-6-2

“The so-called composed and rational Cristofer was merely a perfectly trained puppet you molded to take over your business,” Cristofer stated bluntly.
“Cristofer, don’t repeat your mistakes!”
“Hurting Estelle is the gravest mistake I’ve ever made in my life,” Cristofer admitted with a chuckle. “Uncle Nelson, please let us go. I will forever be grateful for your great kindness.”
After speaking, he hung up the phone and tossed it into the lake nearby.
With a splash, the phone submerged in the water.
Cristofer breathed a sigh of relief, finally bidding farewell to his past and embracing a new life with Estelle.
When he returned to the tree, he found Estelle was already awake. Sitting there, looking drowsy, she stared ahead with a vacant expression, patiently waiting for him.
Cristofer walked over, sat down beside her, and put his arm around her, saying, “It’s still early. You don’t need to get up so early.”
Estelle asked, “What time is it now?”
“It should be about four o’clock. I don’t know exactly what time it is.”
“Look at the time on your phone then,” Estelle urged.
“I lost my phone accidentally on our way here. Maybe it was because I rode the motorcycle so fast that it slipped out of my pocket.”
Hearing this, Estelle frowned and said, “Don’t ride the motorcycle too fast in the future. It’s dangerous.”
“Got it, Mrs. Hans.”
“What did you call me?” Estelle was a little surprised.
“Mrs. Hans.”
With a gentle smile, Estelle leaned her head on his shoulder, looked at the stars in the sky, and said softly, “I didn’t expect that I would still be Mrs. Hans after so many years. I probably owed the Hans family a lot in my previous life, so I have to pay off my debts by marrying into the family in this life.”
“Maybe.”
“Sir, may I know your real name now? I’ve been married to you, but I still don’t know your name. Don’t you find it a little ridiculous?” Estelle inquired, looking directly into her eyes.
Cristofer was stunned, quickly saying, “But I think calling me Sir is fine.”
“But after we go abroad, we will have new friends and neighbors. It will be embarrassing if they ask me about your name and I say that I don’t know.” Estelle expressed her worry.
“Well, it’s indeed a little embarrassing.”
“So, tell me your name.”
“… I don’t have a name.”
Hearing this, Estelle didn’t doubt him at all. Instead, she felt sorry for him.
Looking up at him, she said gently, “When you left your parents, your parents hadn’t named you, right? Even Cristofer doesn’t know that he has a twin brother. You must have left the Hans family when you were still very little.”
Thinking of a possibility, she sat up and asked, “Were you abducted by a child trafficker when you were just born?”
Cristofer didn’t know how to answer her and just nodded.
Estelle patted her forehead and stated, “I knew it! Your parents are so kind-hearted that it was impossible for them to abandon you. Well, let’s not talk about it. It must be traumatizing for you. I won’t mention it anymore.”
Amused by her imagination, Cristofer couldn’t help smiling and didn’t say anything, thinking that it was good that Estelle interpreted it that way.
“But, Sir, everyone needs to have a name. What’s your name on your passport?”
“Cristof.”
“What?” Estelle was stunned.
Cristofer then explained to her, “My name is C-R-I-S-T-O-F.”
Estelle was speechless at the thought that her ex-husband and current husband not only looked the same, but their names sounded quite similar.
“Don’t you like this name?” Cristofer asked.
“It’s not that I don’t like it,” Estelle gently explained, “I… I just felt a little awkward. Your name is quite similar to ‘Cristofer’s.”
“If you don’t want to call me by my name, then you can still call me Sir. Or you can give me a new name.”
“Are you sure about that?” Estelle asked enthusiastically
“Yes.”
Nestling against his chest, Estelle thought for a while and said, “How about… Hunter?”
“Hunter?”
“The letter ‘H’ represents ‘home.’ The letter ‘U,’ ‘N,’ ‘T,’ and ‘E’ represents our children ‘and’ the letter ‘R’ represents ‘staying with me,'” Estelle suggested cheerfully.
Hearing this, Cristofer smiled and said, “Mrs. Hans, are you hinting that you want me to go home early and spend more time with you every day?”
“Yes. Besides, this name has only six letters. It’s easy to write,” Estelle beamed happily.
Cristofer couldn’t help chuckling. “Then why don’t you name me Bob, Asa, or some other name with fewer letters?”
Estelle then thought seriously about his words and said, “It’s a good idea. But I still think Hunter is better. I hope you can go home early and spend more time with me.”
As she spoke, she looked at the starry sky with gleaming eyes.
Cristofer also raised his head to look at the sky, thinking about the meaning she gave to the name and sighing emotionally.
“Okay. My name is Hunter from now on,” he agreed immediately.
“Okay, Hunter,” Estelle called his name with a bright smile tugging on her lips.
“You can address me in another way.”
“Another way? I should call you… Sir?” Estelle was confused.
“No.”
“Mr. Mysterious?”
Lowering his head, Cristofer whispered in her ear in a sexy voice, “Mrs. Hans, you have been married to me. What do you think you should call me?”
It was not until then that Estelle understood what he meant.
Estelle hesitated for a while before calling him, “… Honey.”
Hearing his words, Cristofer smiled contentedly and gently touched her face. “I love it when you call me like this. Promise me that you’ll call me this way every day in the future, okay?” he said affectionately.
“All right.”
Soon, the sun rose, and it was getting light.
Estelle took out her phone and looked at the time.
“It’s half past four. Let’s go,” she said to Cristofer.
Cristofer looked at her phone screen and nodded. “Okay.”
“Wait,” Estelle pulled him and stated, “Let’s take a photo to mark our wedding before leaving.”
When she was younger, she always imagined what her wedding photo would look like.
In her wedding photo, she would wear a pure white full-length wedding dress decorated with pearls. When she walked, the pearls reflected the bright sunlight like the stars in the sky.
And her husband would wear a white suit and a plaid tie that she had personally chosen for him. Standing in front of her, he would gaze at her affectionately and reach out his hand to her while wearing a bright smile.
However, the reality was totally different from her imagination.
At this moment, her floral dress was crumpled, and her husband was in black casual clothes. Although the pinky-white flowers were beautiful and the atmosphere was romantic, the photo that they took didn’t look like a wedding photo at all.
