” More than your Sugar Daddy? Of course. Shoot me if I ever say no to that question. You don’t realize how much you have invaded every bit of my soul and body. I crave you, Sophie, more than anything in this world and I don’t think I could ever have enough of you. That I know and I am sure of but do you feel the same way?” He poured out his heart to her and she in turn felt something crawling in her belly. Was that butterflies? She shifted in her seat trying to calm her raging heartbeat. Their lips were almost touching and the tension in the atmosphere could be cut with a knife.
Moving closer to her he said, “Sophie I want you, all of you to be mine will you be mine?” he asked holding her small hands in his big ones. Her heart did three flips in her chest and she blushed Scarlett.
” But I’ve never dated before” she blurted out shyly.
” I know Sophie but I can show you how wonderful it is. And you won’t regret being with me. Will you be mine?” He said with a wide smile that made her blush deeper.
” You want to be my boyfriend? I have never had a boyfriend and..” He cut off her rambles with a soft kiss smiling deeply at her. If he wasn’t sure he has deeper feelings for her then now he is sure. He loves everything about her.
” I will be your boyfriend and everything more if you will permit me,” He said after the kiss.
“Will you be mine?”
” Will you just say yes already? Stop going back and forth you are ruining the mood” Noah butts in grumpily with a sleepy voice. His eyes are still closed but he has been listening to their conversation since.
Sophie jerked back involuntarily due because she was shocked at her brother’s sudden intrusion. Chris just gave a wide grin, happy to know that her brother supports him.
” When have you been listening?” Sophie breathes out in frustration.
” Since when I heard the word sugar daddy? But I don’t care, just say yes to the poor, no I mean rich man” Noah said while sitting up on his bed. Sophie’s jaw almost hit the floor. There she was, forgetting that her brother talks more maturely than his age.
” Did you bring this, Mr. Morgan?” Noah asked pointing at the flowers lying beside his bed.
” Yes I did” Chris replied in a cool manner earning a thumbs up from Noah. He could see the prospects that he and his future brother-in-law will get along so well.
” God I knew you were the right one for my sister. Not that there was ever another one if you get what I mean?” Noah said with a cute boyish grin that made Chris burst into laughter.
” Hey! I had men that liked me” Sophie rolled her eyes at the underlying insult that her brother threw at her.
” But none of them ever caught your fancy or proof to be a nice distraction for you before he came so” Noah replied to Chris’s further amusement. Sophie huffed and turn her back to both of them agreeing with the fact that she can’t beat her brother in the banter.
” I don’t even know why God punished me by giving me a younger brother”
” You know you love me” making weird expressions with his face, he tried to get down from the bed to get his sister’s attention before a knock made him pause. Sophie stood up to check who was knocking and she almost closed the door again in anger before Chris asked her who was there.
Mr Harris walked in with a tired expression, he looked like he has been to hell and back. There was a big bruise on his forehead and his lips were busted and his wrist was bandaged.
” I thought I said I don’t want to see you here?” Sophie said angrily glaring at her father with every ounce of hatred in her body.
” Sophie” Chris called, silencing her with his eyes. He managed to look so hot and commanding at the same time but Sophie’s anger overrides the lustful part of her.
” Good morning. Hey Noah, how are you doing?” Mr. Harris greeted. Sophie rolled her eyes while Noah turned around muttering something that sounds like “piss off” under his breath.
” You have some balls waltzing in here like it wasn’t your fault Noah is lying down there” Sophie glared at her father but Chris shushed her up again, warning her with his gaze to keep quiet.
” I’m sorry,” The old man said remorsefully looking at his children with a teary expression.
” I know my actions have been terrible lately and it lead to putting both of you in grave danger but I love you both and I regret every part of it” He continued but Sophie refused to look at him while Noah just acts uninterested.
” The only way I will know you are sorry is if you pay off the debt and remove this temporary death sentence from our head.” She stated coldly.
” They came to the house yesterday when you chased me out. They came to ask for money again and they left me like this they…” Mr Harris tried to get the siblings by showing them his own bruises but they pretended as if they heard nothing.
” We don’t need to know what they did to you. We were fucking not there when you were getting drunk and gambling” Sophie scowled ignoring Chris’s nonverbal warning.
” Sophie calm down. He is your father” Chris persuaded. Her anger was showing him another side of her that turns him on and amused him at the same time. Who knew the quiet Sophie could be a spitfire when she wants? But now is not the time to watch her cute, out swear like a sailor. Even though he wasn’t best friends with Mr Harris who was giving him a “Who the fuck are you?” look. He needs to calm down the situation in a way that won’t increase her stress level.
” Just who the hell are you?” Mr Harris yelled but before Chris could utter a word Sophie beats him to it.
” I recommend you watch the way you talk to him, giving the facts that he has been the one saving the neck of the people you have been fucking up all this while” Sophie threw her father a glare so cold the room suddenly went silent.
” You know what? Just get out! Let’s do this when Noah gets better” Sophie threw her her hands up in frustration, and Chris engulfed her in a tight hug. She was already looking ten times more stressed out than when she woke up that morning. Noah was just tired of seeing his father’s face. He resents him a lot and he hated the fact that his father was the reason why he landed at the hospital in the first place.
” You are chasing me out because of a man that is taking advantage of you?” Mr. Harris pressed his mouth together in disgust, looking at Chris from head to toe with a worrying amount of expression.
” I’m not..” Chris started
” Just get out father. You are disturbing Noah’s recovery and besides. He is not taking advantage of me, He is my boyfriend and he has shown me more kindness than you ever did to me as my father so please just get out of here.
” You will regret this Sophie” Mr Harris said with a sudden emotionless tone.
” just get the fuck out!”
