Chapter 79 Kidnap

Book:Crush on You Published:2024-5-1

Quinn is so excited by her soft “Quinn” voice that he feels numb in his heart. “Now she’s only an intern who has little access to our information. Not until she passes the internship and probation will she be given important work.”
Yaffe nods her head and says to Yannick, “Dad, since no one in the He family works in the Hersh Group, I concern that we may cause unnecessary troubles to Quinn.”
Monismith comes over with fruit, saying, “I thought about that, too. But it’s not proper for us to refuse directly.”
Quinn smiles, “Don’t worry, we have set standards for our employees. If she can’t meet them, she will be interviewed or fired by the personnel department. So I won’t feel tied for us being relatives.”
“That’s fine.” Monismith is relieved, “Let’s have dinner.”
Yaffe goes upstairs for Wiphy, who throws herself onto Yaffe at the sight of her.
“Not now, I’m sick, I may infect you.”
Wiphy nods his head and let Yaffe hold his fat hand.
**
Yaffe is sick for two days and stays at home to accompany Wiphy.
Marco Liu drops by to see Wiphy after he returns Chandely.
Wiphy goes through a series of examinations with the company of Yaffe with unprecedented cooperation.
This makes all people look forward to his early recovery, even though he hasn’t said a word since New Year’s Eve.
Yaffe returns to work when she recovers, but is given a rolling-eye by the director.
“Director, are you in male climacteric?”
“Piss off!”
“Then there is no one to comfort you. Just tell me what troubles I have made so that I can correct them and move forward.”
“There’s a meeting this afternoon, you should go with me.”
“No problem. What for?”
“About Lorin Mo’s case practice. But his information has been removed. We will discuss his condition only.”
“OK, is it in our hospital or…”
“Chandely First Hospital.”
Yaffe cries out, “My enemy is there.”
“That was why I gave you a rolling eye.”
Yaffe, “…”
**
After lunch, Yaffe drives the director’s car to Chandely First Hospital.
Quaneisha Ye and Zeow Zhou haven’t played tricks on her for quite a long time. She doesn’t believe that they can hold back after being sarcastically attacked by her in public.
These two are definitely not tolerant people.
But she may be worrying too much.
Quaneisha and Zeow are cardiovascular specialists, while the meeting she’s going to attend is about surgery. So it’s not likely for them to meet.
However, it turns out that she is wrong.
As soon as Yaffe parks her car in the exclusive parking space for the conference participants, she sees Quaneisha walking toward her.
Fortunately, the director has gone off the car, or she will be derogated by him.
Seeing Quaneisha coming alone, she opens the car door and gets off.
Quaneisha smiles at her, “Yaffe, long time no see.”
The sweet and soft voice is just as it was when they first knew each other.
Yaffe freezes for a moment and looks at her in defense.
Quaneisha looks at Yaffe and says seriously, “I’ve been reflecting over the past and realized how many wrong things I have done, which not only hurt you but also made me loss classmates and colleges’ prestige and respect. I thought for a long time and realized that the first thing I should do to change the present situation is to apologize to you. I hope you can forgive me.”
Yaffe doesn’t expect Quaneisha to suddenly say these words to her, but she quickly comes to her senses.
“I won’t deny that yours words slightly moved me. But could you explain why you’re here? I don’t believe that this is totally coincidence.”
“I know that your hospital send you here, so I wait for you.”
Yaffe looks at her for a moment and shakes her head, “I really want to believe you, but you were lying. Because your eyes were flashing and your face turned unconsciously to the left when you were saying those words. You were deceiving me!”
Then Yaffe hurries to the administration building of the hospital.
To her surprise, when she just makes a turn, a burst of pungent smell comes to her.
Her vision immediately blurs and she opens her mouth to call for help.
However, she falls into a coma soon.
**
Yaffe is waked up by bone-chilling cold.
She opens her eyes but only sees darkness.
She moves her hands, which are tied behind her back.
They are numb from the pressure.
Yaffe throws back her head which is still a bit dizzy, trying to sober up.
This is the first time that she has appreciated the cold wind.
But for the wind, she wouldn’t be able to sober up so quickly and think clearly after inhaling the drug.
She checks her situation and finds no injuries other than dizziness and her hands being tied.
For what she knows about Quaneisha, she would have taken the opportunity to give her a few slaps and kick her to vent anger.
But since she has no injury, it means that the incident is out of her control.
Maybe she is only part of this kidnapping incident and has no right to cope with her.
Thinking about this, she feels fortunate but more worried.
She knows a little about Quaneisha’s family background, which is quite powerful in Chandely and more than enough to cope with her.
Quaneisha hates her so much that she always wants her to die.
If she can stand it, then there must be someone more powerful inciting her.
So what is their purpose?
She finds it pointless thinking alone here.
At least she is certain that those people won’t do anything to her for the moment.
So, she kicks the mattress hard.
The sullen sound thus arises is extremely harsh to the ear in the quiet evening.
In no time, Yaffe hears a rapid and mussy tramp of feet.
The door is pushed open soon, pouring dazzling light into the room.
Yaffe closes her eyes for a while and adjusts to the light quickly to see what is happening in the room.
This is a well-decorated but abandoned house.
This probably explains why she smelt the heavy odor of dust when she woke up.
A boy in his twenties stares at Yaffe angrily and shouts to her, “What are you doing in the middle of the night?”
“Let your boss come over, I want to talk to him.” Yaffe twists her wrist which is numb now.
“Just talk to me.”
“Why did you bring me here?”
“You can wait and see.”
Finding him unexpectedly secretive, Yaffe says, “Buddy, I’m particularly terrified to find myself suddenly tied up in a strange place. Please tell me first how much money you want so that I can think about ways to raise money. Otherwise, you’ll still have to wait if I don’t have enough money.”
