Quinn carries a glass of milk and a small plate of steamed red dates upstairs, and he sees the woman covering herself from head to toe with a quilt.
He walks to the bed amusedly, “If you are suffocated, am I the murderer?”
“Yes.” Yaffe’s vague voice comes from under the quilt.
“It’s not a big deal. I just looked at your pads. Can’t you just cheer up?”
“No!” Yaffe pauses before she roars, “Quinn, you dare to laugh at me?”
Quinn holds back the laughter overflowing from the corner of his mouth, “I won’t laugh at you anymore. Just come out.”
The quilt remains motionless.
“I don’t mean to doubt you, Doctor Qin, but can you really cure the disease with that mental age?”
Yaffe gets out of the quilt abruptly and stares at Quinn angrily, wishing to rush over and pinch his neck to give him amnesia.
Quinn can’t help but stretches out his hand to squeeze her cheek, “Why do I feel that you are acting like a child?”
Yaffe sits on the bed, eating steamed red dates in a small dish, and tries to ignore him.
“But you look much cuter this way.”
“Don’t talk to me; I don’t want to talk to you right now.”
“But I want to talk to you.”
“You are so shameless. Do your employees know that?”
“It’s ok to be shameless when I’m with my wife.” Quinn says indifferently.
Yaffe almost bites off her finger when she hears that. She screams and takes out her finger quickly.
Fortunately, it’s not bleeding.
Quinn touches her hair speechlessly and frowns, “Your hair is still wet. Dry it before going to bed.”
“I’m not in the mood.”
“Does this mean you want me to help you?”
“If you want to do this, how can I reject it?” Yaffe says with a smile.
Quinn turns around and goes to the bathroom to get a hair dryer.
Yaffe sees it and says, “I was joking.”
“You think that’s funny?”
“I’ll dry my hair after I eat. Or my dandruff will fall on my food. I just can’t stand it.”
Quinn doesn’t say anything, takes his clothes and goes into the bathroom.
Yaffe is eating red dates, but her eyes are secretly aiming at Quinn’s direction.
Quinn says that she is acting like a child.
She has never felt childish.
Compared to her peers, she matures earlier; even her mother is more like a child than her.
She once envied her mother and Anne, who have the kind of innocence and playfulness that is not annoying at all.
Unexpectedly, one day someone would say that she looks like a child.
It is really hard to explain this kind of feeling.
Before Quinn comes out of bath, Yaffe finishes having the steamed red dates and milk and quickly dries her hair. She leans against the bedside to read the case, for fear that the two of them will stare at each other too embarrassingly when Quinn comes out.
Quinn wipes his hair half dry and comes out.
Seeing that Yaffe have finished having the milk and red dates, he puts away the glass and small dish and takes them downstairs.
Yaffe suddenly feels embarrassed.
She has forgotten about it.
Quinn comes up after two minutes. He takes out the pillow and bedding from the closet.
After making the bed, he gets into it.
Yaffe keeps glancing at his movements, and she can’t concentrate on the book in her hands.
Quinn leans on the bed and says, “Your dad will get out soon. Please tell your mom not to worry.”
Yaffe turns around to look at him, “Will this affect his future work?”
“All the evidence is invalid, so it won’t affect him.”
Yaffe breathes a sigh of relief, “Rich guy, thank you. It seems that there are many benefits of marrying you.”
Quinn laughs, “There are more benefits. Do you want to try?”
“No, if I keep on taking advantage of you, I will be punished by god. That’s enough.”
“Go to sleep. We will go back to your house on Saturday to celebrate your dad’s returning home. We will go back to the mansion at night and come back here on Monday morning.”
“Ok.”
After seeing her putting the book down, Quinn turns off the headlight of the room, leaving only an orange lamp on.
As soon as the room darkens, Yaffe feels her nerves gradually tighten.
Just as she is thinking about whether she should turn over, she hears a slight hint tone.
It is not her cell phone, but Quinn’s cell phone that is on the bedside table.
Yaffe reaches out and takes the phone. Although she doesn’t want to invade his privacy, she still scans the name on the screen.
Molly!
Yaffe’s hand trembles and she almost gets smashed in the face by the phone.
Quinn quickly picks up the phone, reads the message, and puts the phone on the bedside table on his side.
Yaffe blinks. She doesn’t want to think about the woman named Molly at all.
When she thought she could marry Quinn happily, Molly showed up; when she and Quinn are sharing the same bed for the first time, Molly pops up again.
Why does she always show up at the wrong time?
Is it just a coincidence, or does Quinn ask her to do that?
Yaffe suddenly feels upset thinking that it might be Quinn who tells Molly when to show up.
**
Yaffe thought she would have insomnia or a nightmare.
Unexpectedly, she had a good rest.
When she gets downstairs, Wiphy is running happily with Wheele in the yard.
Quinn is having breakfast at the table.
Yaffe scratches on her head, “Good morning, rich guy. Why don’t you wake me up when you get up?”
“You sleep like a pig. Who can wake you up?”
Yaffe pulls the chair and sits down calmly, “When you want to say such vicious things again in the future, please think about me as a woman.”
“I didn’t see that you are a woman.”
“Is it appropriate to tease me so early in the morning?” Yaffe says as she takes a big bite of the sandwich. She chews it rudely, and stares at Quinn.
Quinn looks away, “Who else can I tease if I don’t tease you?”
“Humph!”
“Why are you humming? Did I ask you to hum?”
“I don’t even have the right to hum?”
“Yes!”
Yaffe stuffs an egg into her mouth angrily and chews it.
This man read the message from his ex-girlfriend in front of her last night, and now he wants to tease her again.
After Quinn finishes the food on his plate, he goes out without looking at Yaffe.
Yaffe silently eats the food left on the table, and then goes to work.
…
There are no cars on the road.
Quinn accelerates to the highest speed and drives through the mountain roads in the early morning.
His beautiful jawline tightens, which shows that he’s not in a good mood right now.
He really wants to see what’s inside that little woman’s head.
She obviously have seen Molly’s name, but she did not ask him at all.
It turns out that she doesn’t even take him seriously.
Is this woman retarded and emotionless?
All the other women want to be with him. But Yaffe is different. She doesn’t even transfer the two hundred million Yuan into her secret account. She just tells jokes every day, and she doesn’t even bother to think about how to seduce him.
When Quinn thinks of this, he feels like a fool.
Does that woman know how to seduce a man?
It’s impossible. Unless the sun rises from the west!
