Wiphy finishes a small bowl of yogurt and then has half a bowl of porridge.
Quinn goes upstairs to change his clothes for going out. After putting on Wiphy’s shoes, they go out.
The driver is astonished to see that Quinn hugs Wiphy.
Although people all know that Quinn has a child, no one but those who are close to Quinn has ever seen Wiphy.
Now, seeing Quinn carrying Wiphy to the company, the driver is surprised.
The thought just flashes through the driver’s mind. He immediately goes forward to pull open the door for Quinn, “Mr. He, please get in.”
The luxury business car is parked in front of the Hersh Group’s building. Quinn gets off the car with Wiphy in his arms.
Today is the day when all the subsidiaries of Hersh Group go back to the headquarters for a meeting. There are many people in the Hersh Group’s building.
Everyone is shocked to look at the boy in Quinn’s arm.
The boy’s features are similar to Quinn and he is almost like a mini version of Quinn.
Wiphy also looks at them with dark and shiny eyes. Then, he puts his arms around Quinn’s neck and buries his face in it, leaving only a back for those who are curious.
“Good morning, President He.”
“Good morning, President He.”
…Quinn enters his exclusive elevator in a flurry of greetings.
As he walks, many women can’t help but take out their phones and pretend to be taking pictures of themselves but takes a lot of pictures of Quinn and Wiphy.
When Quinn takes the elevator to the floor where his office is located, his special assistant is already waiting at the elevator door.
As soon as the elevator doors opens, his special assistant says respectfully, “Good morning, President He.”
“Order a children’s meal for me.” Quinn says as he enters the office.
“OK.”
“Inform everyone that the meeting will be held in twenty minutes.”
“Shall we have a general conference or a branch meeting first?”
“General conference.”
“Yes.”
The special assistant leaves in a well-trained manner.
Yaffe has been busy all morning. There are a lot of patients today. She receives more than thirty patients in one morning and doesn’t have time to rest until noon time. Even her lunch is brought back by Anne from the cafeteria.
They go to the small dining room to eat.
Anne takes out her phone and shows it to Yaffe, “Sis Qin, look, this is Mr. He and Little Mr. He.”
“What’s wrong with them?”
“You’re too unconcerned about your husband and son.” Anne’s finger clicks the screen before handing the phone to Yaffe, “Look at this, Mr. He took Little Mr. He to the Hersh Group. I have heard that today is the day when the annual meeting of the Hersh Group is held. Little Mr. He didn’t even show up at your wedding. Why did he suddenly show up at the annual meeting of the Hersh Group?”
Yaffe looks at the photos in the phone.
Wiphy is sitting on Quinn’s lap like a mascot, listening to the report of Quinn’s subordinate.
He doesn’t look as frightened as he did last night.
“Wiphy cannot be alone for a while.” Yaffe looks at the address of the picture, “Is this from the official Weibo account of the Hersh Group?”
“Yeah. This is the first time they post a picture of Little Mr. He since Mr. He has taken over the Hersh Group. No, it’s the second time. They had posted one a few days ago. You’re also in that picture, Sis Qin.” Anne says. She excitedly pokes her head over to search the blogs. Then, she finds the blog with Wiphy’s photo which was posted a few days ago, “This is the one. Sis Qin, tell the truth, is Little Mr. He your biological son?”
“Stop talking nonsense.” Yaffe rolls her eyes. But she can’t take her eyes off the photo.
The expressions of the three people in the photo were very relaxed. She and Wiphy were laughing happily. Although Quinn didn’t laugh as silly as her and Wiphy, he was also smiling and looked very relaxed.
What’s more, they wore the same type of sweatshirt and really looked like a family.
Anne blinks and says, “Sis Qin, do rich men like women like you?”
“I don’t know. After all, I only know one rich man.”
“So, should I become like you?”
“Then you should be cleverer and more sensible first, otherwise there is no way.”
“Don’t upset me!”
“Stop talking nonsense and eat quickly. There may be more patients in the afternoon.”
“Alright.” Anne gulps and says vaguely, “Why are there so many patients in our department suddenly. We’re Surgical Department, and there’s no seasonality. Why are there so many people today?”
“A lot of patients are transferred from other departments and are going to have surgery in the next few days. It’ll be fine after this time.” Yaffe comforts her.
In fact, she also feels strange.
At least half of the patients she received this morning are less serious. Many of their symptoms can be cured by taking medicine. There is no need for surgery.
She believes that the doctors in the hospital have good medical ethics. When a patient comes to see a doctor for the first or second time, if he can be cured by taking medicine, the doctor will not directly recommend surgery.
But now, at least half of the cases in her hands are that the patients will have to schedule surgery the second time they come to the hospital.
Is the patient determined to have surgery, or the previous doctor does not do the preliminary work?
After a short lunch break, Yaffe goes to the Department of Internal Medicine before starting to work.
Dr. Walsh from the Department of Internal Medicine does not rest. When he sees Yaffe come in, he smiles, “I know you will come here.”
“Walsh, you’re so clever.” Yaffe sits in front of his desk, “Then you must know why I come here, right?”
“Because of the patients in the morning.”
“What’s going on? At least half of today’s patients don’t need surgery. Their symptoms won’t affect their health. It is enough to keep their six-monthly checkups. There’s no need to spend money on surgery.”
“That’s what I told them. But they insist on the surgery.”
“Why? Can medical reimbursement now be fully reimbursed?” Yaffe is puzzled.
“Because of your husband. Netizens found out your identity and knew that you were a surgeon in our hospital. So, they are all coming to attract your attention.”
“Are you kidding? Then if I worked at a funeral home, would they commit suicide?”
Dr. Walsh is amused by her, “You are right. I don’t even understand what they’re thinking. If it’s useful to see you, we’ll go to see you every day to attract your attention.”
Yaffe turns around and is about to leave, “I’ll hold off on scheduling your department’s surgery until next week. What do you think? This week, I will schedule the serious ones first to match the director’s time.”
“No problem. If you feel it difficult to arrange all, you can repulse a few cases, especially those with thyroid cyst. When I looked at the films, I suggested not doing surgery yet. There are a lot of cysts so small that I even can’t see them. It can’t be completely removed with surgery now. The patients have to do a second or third surgery later. But they insist on surgery. What can I do? Can I kick them out? Of course I cannot.”
Yaffe smiles, “I know you’ve had a long day. I’ll arrange it as soon as possible.”
“OK.”
