During the week, what worries Yaffe doesn’t happen at all. Quinn doesn’t sleep with her in the same room.
This makes her feel relieved.
On the morning of the third day, she goes downstairs as usual, only to find a pile of stuff in the hall.
Quinn seems to tell Aunt Liu something is in shock.
Hearing her footsteps, Quinn looks up at her and smiles, “So you waked up.”
“What are you doing?”
“Preparing the gifts for your family.”
“Is it necessary to prepare so many?” She asks him, feeling puzzled.
“They should have been taken to your home on mothering day, but your parents and relatives were traveling outside. So it is delayed till now. These gifts are not only for your parents but also for your relatives.”
Quinn rubs her head, feeling sorry, “I’m sorry. I don’t know these customs. Please remind me of these customs later.”
“It’s a trifle. You have only one mothering day in your life, so you don’t need to learn. Get your clothes changed and wake up Wiphy, please.”
“Yes sir, rich man.” She runs upstairs with a smile.
At the corner of the stairs, she can’t help looking back at Quinn and feels warm.
To hold all the gifts, Quinn drives an SUV followed by a truck.
Arriving at the downstairs of Quinn’s apartment, Monismith and the relatives have been waiting there. Even the neighbours come toward, watching them enviously.
Quinn shakes down the car window, smiling, “Mum, why are you downstairs?”
“We’ve just arrived home. Guessing you’re nearly here, so we come downstairs.” She looks at the two cars, saying, “Why have you brought so many gifts? They must have cost you much.”
“No. They’re always kept home. Never mind.” While saying so, he, Yaffe and Wiphy open the car door.
And the truck driver starts to unload. Meanwhile the relatives from the Qin family and Lo family come to help him
They soon carry the gifts upstairs.
The Qin’s apartment is duplex. The two floors occupy nearly 150 square meters. As only three people live there, it is large enough.
Now it’s suddenly occupied by so many people and a pile of gifts, so it seems a bit crowded.
Monismith has told the relatives about Wiphy, so nobody tries to get close to him on purpose. They chat around Quinn.
Quinn chats with them with smiles and doesn’t put on airs at all.
Monismith allocates the gifts with Yaffe’s aunts. Seeing Yaffe holding Wiphy’s hand coming towards them, she asks, “Who prepares them, you or my son-in-law?”
“Mum, you really think highly of me. I even have no idea of mothering. I thought it only existed in ancient times.”
“OMG, how could I give birth to such a hands-off boss? It’s a failure. Do you think it’s suitable to let my son-in-law alone prepare these gifts?”
Yaffe swallows, “What do you mean, your majesty?”
“Forget it. I can’t communicate with you. Take Wiphy upstairs. Don’t make him uncomfortable.”
“All right. Thank you, aunts.”
“It’s fine. We just finished travelling and it’s a good time to get exercised.” Her aunt replies with a smile.
Yaffe goes upstairs, carrying Wiphy’s plump hand. Her cousins, Fanice Qin and Jarre Lo, follow her upstairs.
Yaffe pinches Wiphy’s hand, asking, “Babe, can you go to the room yourself?”
He nods, enters her room and shuts the door.
Fanice smiles, “I know you live a happy life from the smile on your face. Is it easy to look after Quinn’s son?”
“He’s well behaved. He’s only afraid of being in the crowd. If there are too many people, he would suffer emotional instability.”
“Many kids are like so. It’s good that he accepts you. I used to be worried that you couldn’t get along well with him. You know you’re the only child in the family and the only child usually doesn’t know how to look after others more or less.”
“Cousin Fanice, please don’t despise me, ok?” Yaffe looks at Fanice plaintively. She takes out snacks and yogurt from the locker on the second floor and gives to them.
Both she and Monismith like snacks and yogurt, so they keep them in many parts of the apartment.
“You can ask Jarre. Does she think so?” Fanice takes the yogurt and starts to drink it.
“Cousin Fanice is right. She and I both have siblings, but only you don’t. Aunt and Uncle insist for only one child. You don’t know the benefits of having siblings.”
“Then who are you?”
“That’s different. We’re relatives. However intimate we’re, we are not siblings. We are two families. Only siblings are from the same family and can say whatever they want.”
“So you come here to brag about it?”
“No, we come here to show jealousy.” Fanice pats her hands, “If you have something unknown, call me, will you? At least I have a kid and I’m more experienced than you.”
“Thank you, Cousin Fanice.”
Watching her coquetry, Jarre suddenly asks, “Cousin, how’s Quinn’s skills on bed? Does he make you knock your lights out?”
The question nearly makes Yaffe choked by yogurt. She coughs, “Now I understand where Ms. Lo has learnt her frank and scary language style from. Can you stop gossiping?”
“No! I’m curious. If his love making technique is good, it’s perfect.”
“You’ll experience it after you get married.”
“Please give us some clues.”
“No way!”
Jarre rolls her eyeballs, holding Yaffe’s arm, “Yaffe Qin, now you’ve married to a rich and powerful family. Please remember to find me a rich man, ok?”
“You’re only 24. It’s too early. Don’t be worried.”
“It takes 1 to 2 years to date before getting married. So it’s not early.”
“No problem.” Yaffe smiles.
Jarre gives a brilliant smile. From her position, she can easily see Quinn surrounded by the crowd now.
His good-looking face and straight gesture make him outstanding among the crowds.
Additionally, his elegance, rare aristocratic temperament and high social status make him unreachable.
She used to be obsessive with him, but it never occurred to her that the man she had longed for would one day become her cousin’s husband.
At the thought of this, Jarre feels jealousy while looking at Yaffe who is chatting with Fanice.
When she was young, she was compared with Yaffe.
Yaffe has a better family environment. Monismith and Yannick have only one daughter so they give all their love and wealth to Yaffe.
On contrary, she has a younger brother and anything good is left for him.
