It is too late, when they arrive at General Zhu, he’s gone to the heaven peace and sound. Cooper sits to the wet ground, weeping in agony, with the grief crying from inside. Wendy runs in to check General Zhu, he’s gone… She can’t save him this time.
General Zhu used to be a hero in town, the King’s favor General. After his retirement, the King often called him for chatting and having tea. After then, he stayed at home day after day, due to his disabled legs. Sometimes, the King went to check him for several times. It’s a big tragedy for the royal palace of General Zhu’s death. So the King ordered to make his funeral big after he passed away. Sung will attend his funeral too, due to he was one of his old students. About all his will, he would keep half for his son Cooper, the rest of it he would donate to those poor areas.
The King decides to give Cooper a brand also, “The Lord Protector”, as his father used to protect this country when he’s alive. Besides, Cooper has no family now and the King wants to protect him from danger for General Zhu. As for Cooper, his duty is just taking the money from this country every month. He doesn’t need to work, as General Zhu said. He didn’t want his son to work in the Royal Palace, he wanted him to be free.
After that day General Zhu passed away, Wendy stays with Cooper every single day, to cheer him up. As well as helping his father’s funeral. He used to be a happy man, but now he looks miserable and blank. The old friends of Zhu come to check Cooper sometimes, they know each other well. However, Cooper has met all ministers in the royal palace, except Sung! They never have a chance to meet before, or we could say Cooper doesn’t want to see him! He used to blame him for killing Wendy. Later on, he’s mind changed after he understood the whole thing from Wendy.
It’s the funeral day, everyone who knows General Zhu is here to mourn for him. After the basic ritual, Cooper goes to everyone for thanks. Sung walks to him, carrying by his guards, and comforts him for a while. Wendy wears white today, with a piece of black cloth wrapped on her arm. She has become Cooper’s dear family now, as his little sister. When Sung sees her, he feels surprised. He doesn’t know this woman has related with General Zhu. “Welcome, your majesty.” Wendy takes a bow. Sung just nods without responding. He doesn’t care about anything except previous Wendy and Zoe…
Zhuge comes with Sung, and notices Cooper who’s in Wendy’s room that day, he feels curiousness of their relationships. “Hey, are you going to send General Zhu after the ritual?” Sung asks, he sees Zhuge’s slightly disappointed.
Zhuge nods, “Yes, I will. How about you? I suggest you go back to rest.”
Sung shakes his head, “No. I will go! General Zhu was my favor teacher, he’s very nice to me. I must send him.” Soon, they see Wendy walk with Cooper together in the corner, they can’t help looking at them.
“The Mage said you need to walk in front with General Zhu’s spirit tablet. So you may go clean yourself a little??” Wendy says to Cooper. He nods with grief. They walk to Sung and Zhuge to say goodbye, then they walk away. “Hey, I know you have feeling with her, but she doesn’t seem to…” Sung asks Zhuge after Wendy left. Zhuge laughs, “What are you talking about? She is my doctor, I have nothing to do with her.”
Sung sneers, “Liar! I knew you feel something with her, I can tell.” Sung pats his shoulder, “I’m serious brother, you need to find someone with you, we are getting old. Get a family!” Zhuge smiles and replies, “Hey, don’t say that. We are still young! By the way, she’s not my type!” He turns to Sung’s guards, “You guys, wait for us outside. We will go sending General Zhu.” Then he and Sung walk out, towards the main door.
The servants of Zhu are cleaning his favor stuff. As we say, if someone dies, you must burn something he loved with him! It’s gonna take a while for them to clean, cause Zhu has many stuff. People are all waiting outside, for Zhu’s coffin. Suddenly, Sung looks to Zhu’s stuff, he’s shocked. A wheelchair, which is the same as his. He turns to San.
“Go and get that wheelchair for me!” Sung orders. San goes to communicate with those servants then he brings the wheelchair to Sung. “How’s that possible??” Sung can’t believe his eyes, and touches the chair as a treasure. “Your majesty, this wheelchair was made for General Zhu, he couldn’t walk that time due to his disease, so Cooper made one for him.” San replies.
“Go, bring me to Cooper!” Sung says with shaking. General Chen helps him to go back inside for Cooper. Zhuge stands nearby, he was thinking to stop him, while the truth will come to light sooner or later… Cooper is crying quietly in his room, with Wendy.
“My friend, don’t be sad. Things just happened, it’s destiny. It’s time to let it go.” Wendy comforts. “Wendy, do you know I used to hate one person, it’s my boss in my company. He and my girlfriend cheated me that time, I was thinking of killing him every fucking day.” He says with tears running in his eyes. Wendy pats his shoulder.
“But strangely, I wanted to see him now, so badly! I miss all my friends and families in our world! With my godfather, I could handle for a long time without thinking this shiny stuff. While, I, I can’t… I can’t bear now!” Cooper hugs Wendy then bursts into cry! “I want to go home! I want to go home, Wendy!”
Wendy replies with weeping, “Oh, come on! You made me sad too!”
Cooper looks up, into her eyes, “Hey, can we try to go back to our world?! I saw that from novels, like jumping from the edges or suicide?! It’s possible, when we wake up, we are back!!” Wendy sighs, “Listen, Copper! We would never go back!” Cooper’s head goes down, slowly, the only hope just died from his heart. “I will get crazy here, very soon… fucking shit” Wendy and him keep crying silently to each other. As a man, he can’t even hold anymore, then what about me? Wendy thinks.
The door’s open all of a sudden, Zhuge and Sung watch them outside! They look very shocked and disappointed. Wendy and Cooper stand up and get away from each other. From Sung’s watching, Wendy feels unfamiliar strange. She knows he doesn’t have any feeling with her new looking right now. “Well, how you guys come here? Your majesty.” Wendy forces a smile to them.
