It’s about early morning, a splinter of sunshine emerges on the horizon, Wendy doesn’t sleep the whole night. She has found a handwriting faded book called, “Hundreds of Poisons”, from the books she borrowed from Doctor Zhuge. However, there are too many pages missing, to figure it out the details in the book at first. That’s why Zhuge didn’t want to borrow her this one at the beginning. One hour later, she is about to finish the book, suddenly, she gets something from the last sentence of it!
“Cluck”, the first rooster calls the time in the meantime, “I got it!” Wendy jumps up with joy, then she runs towards Zhuge’s room! She is too excited to ignore every servant in his place. “Zhuge! I found it!” Wendy yells and breaks into his room, meanwhile, Zhuge is changing his clothes behind the screen. “Hey! How…? Don’t come closer, I’m changing.” Wendy ignores him, she pulls him out from the screen.
“Look! I understand this book!” She puts it on the table, pointing for him, “Now, try to read like this order! First, read the first, forth and seventh sentences; then the second, fifth and eighth; after that read the third, sixth and ninth! You try it!” Wendy explains with excitement. But Zhuge never knows Wendy is that out of behaved as a Royal Princess. Anyway, he tucks his clothes then takes the book, following Wendy’s suggestion, “My God! You are corrected! I understand now!” Both of them are excited, they sit together and keep researching this miracle book.
“Look at here! Someone tried to use the excrement for a medicinal?! That’s insane!” Zhuge gets shocked from time to time when he reads some incredible parts. Wendy explains, “It’s normal actually. The excrement contains Zhonghuang, which is good for the body. You may find it on The Compendium of Materia Medica.” Zhuge looks back to her, confused, “Wait, what is The Compendium of Materia Medica?? I’ve never heard of it before…”
Wendy gets surprised, “Well, how don’t you know that famous medical book?!” Wendy feels she’s not in a normal Perhaps. She may in an unknown one. This place should be located in the Central Plains, nothing else. Where the hell am I? Wendy thinks. “No. I never heard of it.” Zhuge replies. He feels like a loser, if this book is as famous as Wendy says. Even Wendy had read, then it’s a big shame that he didn’t.
Seeing his disappointment, Wendy tries to distract him, “Ah, it’s fine. I will borrow you later if I could find it.” She says in vague. There’s nowhere she could find that book, if no one knows here. Zhuge nods with grateful, he can’t wait one more minute from his excited face. Then two of them head back to their research again. They cheer and marvel together at some cool points on the book, like those scientists who just find the aliens at the very first time! This book contains so many ways of healing and poisoning, which is lucky to keep here, not on those bad people. Wendy thinks.
They are too indulged with the book and don’t notice Sung has come in. His wheelchair doesn’t make that big sound by the good leathered wheels, only slightly friction… “What are you doing here?” His cold voice raises from behind. Wendy and Zhuge turn back with frightening together, then bump to each other. Wendy’s one hand is on Zhuge’s naked shoulder. “Ohh, Sung, when you came?” Zhuge pulls his clothes up and explains, “Please don’t misunderstand, we are just reading a book.”
“Reading a book, with exposed clothes together? Do you think I gonna believe it?” Sung says in a jealous tone. Wendy ignores him, feeling unpleasant from last night still, “Believe it or not, that’s it. It’s our business Zhuge, why we need to explain to him? Same as last night, what he did with Lacey, it’s not our allowance.” She mentions many times “our” and “him”, which makes Zhuge in an awkward situation. He doesn’t want Sung to misunderstand him, as his best friend.
Sung did misunderstand them at first, but he changed his mind after he read Sung’s innocent face. He knows his friend well. He shares a look at Zhuge, Zhuge nods and shakes his head. He doesn’t want Sung to have fight with her now. But it’s too late… Sung has provoked her already, “It’s not my business? Uh-huh! I am your husband and you are my Royal Princess! We are married don’t you forget! How dare you stay with other men privately without telling me?! If I tell on my father, then you and he will be judged for the crime of adultery!”
Zhuge complains by acting, “What?! If he gonna tell on us, then we gonna die… we are innocent, Princess Yasmin!” Sung thinks Wendy will apologize for her rude attitude to him. On the contrary, she is not. She sees through their acting, she is too smart. Sung won’t tell anyone, cause he is afraid of being cuckolded. “Listen, I will go tell the King and Queen now about what happened here. I would say I seduced Doctor Zhuge. Are you happy now, your Majesty?” She takes her book then ready to leave. Zhuge and Sung are surprised by her reaction, “Wait, Princess, we are kidding, relax!” Zhuge explains immediately.
“Well, I am not!” Wendy replies without looking back. Sung looks worried, “Go chasing her, she is different now! She will do what she says!” Zhuge pushes Sung’s wheelchair and they chase out. Wendy runs towards her palace, she calms herself down on the way. She won’t tell anyone, it’s all her mild irritation! She has no right either to jealous of Lacey. She regrets her uncontrollable behavior in front of Sung, it means she does care a lot of what happened last night…
Soon, Sung and Zhuge catch her. “My god, I am kidding! Why you guys so serious?” Wendy turns and puts a snail on her face. Zhuge hears this, he turns mad, “Well, will you guys consider about me at least?! I am not for making fun by two of you!” Wendy laughs, “Hey, don’t put it to heart! Be a man!” Wendy pokes on his shoulder, “How about let’s have breakfast together? You guys are here anyway.” She replies by acting. Sung and Zhuge are all fooled by her. They are amazed that her emotional goes that fast.
“Next time maybe. I need to go to my clinic now. I have some patients there waiting for me. “Zhuge replies. Wendy’s eyes are gleaming, “Oh really? Do you have a clinic here? How about bringing me with you?” She thinks she may need to distract herself from Sung and Lacey. Zhuge looks at Sung, asking for permission. Sung shakes his head with disagreement. “Ohh, I need to go to some patients’ houses today, it’s not convenient to bring you, my Princess. Next time then!” He leaves in a hurry.
“Are you hungry, your Majesty? I can go telling them to make some breakfast for you.” Wendy asks with uncaring. Sung moves closer to her, asks carefully, “Well, are you mad with me?” Wendy laughs, pretending, “Hah, why? What’s the point? Life is beautiful, your majesty! I never put my heart on pointless things!” Sung watches at her seriously, he knows she does jealous for last night, she is pretending now. Besides, even she is correct, she doesn’t have any right to argue. And Sung doesn’t need to apologize for himself. He has nothing wrong with it.
The rest of the day, Wendy stays at her place and studies the acupuncture on her book. She tries to change herself, and treats Sung only as a patient! Her passion now, is making Sung walk again. So she tries harder on herself with the needles. She plunges on her legs time after time, the moment she feels working on her, she will plunge harder. She can’t feel pain anyway. As for Lacey, she and Sung are back to their romantic lives. She usually walks around with Sung in the garden. They seem happy. Sung comes to visit Wendy now and then, they just talk a little with her wound. Then Wendy tries to walk away and studies her stuff, as she often does. Later on, Sung gets pissed by her uncaring attitude.
Zhuge always complains to Sung that Wendy’s wound doesn’t get well. She always bleeds and the wound is not recovered at all. They both confuse and have no idea about it. One day, Lacey comes to Sung for having a meal together, she mentions something to him. “Your Majesty, I, I think I need to tell you something. But I’m not sure…” Sung looks at her and replies with his deadpan face, “If you want to tell then go ahead. If not whatever…” Lacey feels Sung has changed recently. He used to care about her, but now he seems to cold about everything.
At last, Lacey speaks, “Well, your majesty, I know you worry about my sister. But you don’t need to worry that much, honestly. I saw her walking like nothing happens many times in the palace. She seems like treating herself all the time in her room. Her maid told me she used to plunge needles on herself.” Her words catch Sung’s attention, “What did you say? Are you sure?” Lacey sees he gets a little pissed, she continues, “Yes. I heard from Daisy. She said Yasmin knew how to treat herself from the medical book.”
Sung sneers, “Well, I think she just tries to get my attention from it.” Lacey shocks by acting, “Oh my gosh, why she did that? I don’t believe my sister is that tricky!” Sung can’t imagine how her woman can be so interested with the medicine now. She is not like a Princess, more like a doctor. “I hope she won’t. Then I can’t keep her anymore. I need a Princess, not a doctor…” Sung feels slightly disappointed to Wendy once again.
