CHAPTER SIXTY FIVE
Isabella went to the red head who stood wide eyed staring at her.
“Please don’t scream” she said with a shaky voice.
“What?” said the red head, “What the hell is going on?”
“You have to mean it when you say it Belle” Samson told her.
Isabella knew that if she had to do this, it had to be now. She grabbed the lady’s hand and looked her directly in the eyes. “Don’t scream. This isn’t going to Hurt at all”
The red head stayed still as if hypnotized, and Isabella went straight for her neck. She bit into her carotid artery and a second later, the blood rushed into her tongue. It tasted exactly like the ones from the blood bags, Isabella noticed. She continued to drink, enjoying the taste. It was then that she realized how hungry she was and she took more and more. Soon she heard Samson’s voice behind her.
“Remember Belle, you have to know when to stop. If you take too much, you might kill her and you really don’t want to do that. It’s easy to get lost in the feed, and that’s why you have to have control. Seal the would with your saliva when you have had enough”
He waited a while, but Isabella didn’t let go.
“Belle” Samson called, “I think you have to stop now. If you don’t you are going to kill her”
He got no response, and he knew that he had to stop her. If she killed someone he wasn’t sure she would be able to forgive herself. It would Hurt her real bad, and it would suck if he stood right there and watch her make the worse decision of her life. He went forward to stop her, but as soon as he reached out to touch her, she withdrew.
“I did it” she said, wiping the blood from the corner of her lips with her palm. I did it. And I stopped. I stopped”
“Yes you did” said Samson, but you still have to compel her”
“Yeah that” she replied, and turned back to the red head. “Forget what just happened here. You had wine spilled on your dress, you came in and got cleaned up, that’s all…. And oh, when you get back out there, don’t leave without apologizing to that waitress you yelled at”
The blond blinked, and then she walked out of the rest room, her memory completely wiped clean of what had just happened to her.
Isabella threw her arms around Samson’s neck in excitement. “I did it, Samson” she said. “Thank you so much”
Samson held her tighter and kissed her head. “Yes did. You are welcome and I hope you know how grateful I am that you are making all these changes. I know you said that you did it for you, but you wouldn’t have done all this if you had not met me, and I’m grateful that you did. I love you and I will not take you or your sacrifices for granted… Ever ”
The door opened and three girls came in. They all had confused looks on their faces when they Samson and Isabella.
” Urm…. This is the ladies room” one of then said glaring at Samson.
“Yeah. Get a room guys.. Jeez” said another.
Isabella let Samson go. “Let’s get out of here” she said. “I want to go home now. I think I have had enough to vampirism 101 for one day.”
Samson grinned. “Yeah me too” he said.
On the way out of the bar, Isabella leaned towards Samson.. “You know, compelling people and feeding on them is all fun and that. There’s no difference in the taste in fact, but I think I will stick with the blood bags. It’s just easier that way and no one gets Hurt”
“What ever you want, baby” Samson replied. “As long as you are safe and you stay alive, it doesn’t matter. I just felt that it was something that you had to know how to do as a vampire. It’s who you are now. Embrace it”
“It’s been a while since I came here” Isabella said to Raymond as they walked towards the bar where she used to work. “I’m a little nervous”
“Why?” Raymond asked her.
“Well, I haven’t seen my friends or hung out with them in a while, plus with all this changes that has been happening in my life… Moving in with Samson, turning into a vampire… I was kinda scared that I would say something I wasn’t supposed to say. That they would find out about what I am. Vivian and Emily are my best friends and I have never been able to lie to them or keep things from them. We told each other everything that happened in our lives, and now I’m going through this big change and I can’t even say anything to them about it. It sucks and I know they are going to be mad at me right now. I have been ignoring their calls and I’m sure they won’t be so thrilled to see me at all… And I honestly can’t blame them.”
“Oh I’m sorry about that” Raymond said.
Isabella nodded. “Hopefully we will get through this. I don’t want to lose them even though I have been such a shitty friend lately.”
“What about your friend Vivian. You think she is gonna want to see me?…. After you know… What I did? I assume she told you. You guys seem so close”
Isabella knew that it would be pointless to lie, so she nodded. “Yes she did. She told me.”
“I thought so. So do you think she is going to want to see me or talk to me?” Raymond asked again.
Isabella gave him a look. “Do you want a honest answer to that question or do you want me to just say something you want me to say?”
Raymond threw his head back and laughed while Isabella stared at him in surprise. “I gotta say, that is the first time I have heard you laugh since I met you. You look cute when you laugh… You should do it more often” she said.
“Careful. Don’t let Samson hear you say that. He might rip out my head.” Raymond replied, “But I guess I want the truth, so what do you think?”
