CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR
Samson followed her eyes. “Not him” he said frowning. “Definitely not him”
“Why not?” Isabella asked, clearly amused at his reaction. “You said I had to pick someone… Now you are doing the picking for me? Why not him?”
“Because if you do, then I’m going to have to rip out his heart and head after you are done ” Samson replied carelessly. “You see the way he’s staring at you? Imagine hitting on the woman and making eyes at her while she is with her man. What kind of moron does something like that?”
“Oh come on” Isabella said, clearly enjoying his discomfort and making no effort to hide it. “There is no way for him to know that I’m with you. Maybe he thinks we are just friends hanging out it in a bar”
“Well, maybe this will clear things up for him then” Samson replied. He suddenly stood up from his stool and grabbed her, crushing his lips to hers and making it clear to anyone watching that she was his and his alone.
“Jeez” said Isabella when he finally released her, although she loved him getting so possessive over her. “There was no need for you to mark your territory. Fine, I’m all yours and I will pick someone else”
Isabella stared around, but she couldn’t seem to be able to pick anyone. She found it ridiculous… Sitting in a bar trying to find someone to feed on…. Trying to find some innocent person to Hurt. She sighed and turned back to Samson.
“You know maybe we should just forget about this whole thing” she said. “Maybe I’m not just that kind of vampire. Maybe I just don’t hurt people…. Maybe I can’t. I know you must be so disappointed in me right now and I am sorry that I can’t be the kind of vampire that you expect me to be so we should just leave right now. I don’t think we should have come in the first place”
“What?” Samson asked, genuinely surprised at her comment. “Why the fuck would I be disappointed in you? You are exactly the kind of vampire I expected you to be and even more. I’m proud of you and proud of how far you have come. This is a big change in your life and I understand if it takes time for you to adjust to it. Maybe I’m wrong for pushing this and trying to make you do this when you are not ready and I’m sorry. We can leave if that’s really what you want and we can wait till you are ready to do this.”
The sound of someone yelling interrupted them and they both turned in the direction the noise was coming from. A waitress had spilled a glass of wine on one of the customers and the girl was having none of it.
“You idiot” yelled the red headed customer, acting like nothing had ever spilled on her in her entire life. “How clumsy could you be, you idiot? Look, by dress is ruined just because you couldn’t just look well while carrying that stuff. Urggh…. What a mess!”
The waitress was embrassed because of the scene. All eyes were on them and she was clearly the shy type. She tried to get the situation under control as much as she could. “Oh I’m so sorry” she said, immediately withdrawing a small napkin from her apron, but before she could touch the red head, she got more screaming.
“Don’t touch me, please. Before you cause any more problems. Just show me where the rest room is so I can go freshen up”
“Urm, it’s that way” said the waitress, gesturing with her hand, “I can come with you if you need some help”
“No that’s fine. I don’t need your help. You have done enough” said the red head before she stormed dramatically towards the place the waitress had directed her too.
Isabella frowned as she watched the waitress hurry to the back in shame. She was a waitress a too and she knew how mean some customers could be and how humiliating it could be to be embarrassed that way. Some people just thought that they could speak to waitresses any how just because you served them.
She turned to Samson, “You know what, scratch that. I think I have found someone” she said.
“Really? You have? Who is it?” Samson asked
“The diva who just went to the rest room” Isabella replied.
“Oh. May i ask why you picked her?”
“It’s simple really” Isabella replied. “I hate bullies. People like her think that they can just talk to people any way they like just because they can. I have been in that waitress situation before and I can tell you it is a horrible situation to be in. If I’m going to Hurt anyone, it should be someone like her. Anyways, am I going to sit here and answer your questions or are we going to continue with vampirism 101 lessons?”
Samson grinned at her as he stood up.”Continue” he replied. “Definitely continue with the lessons”
Isabella went into the rest room first. There was another Lady in there with the red head who was furiously cleaning up her gown with a towel and cursing as she did it.
“Such a stupid clumsy girl” she muttered as she continued to wipe vigorously.
Isabelle opened the door again and poked her head outside. “Come on in” she said to Samson who was waiting outside.
When Samson came in, the red head glared at him. “Hey, this is the ladies room” she said. “you shouldn’t be in here. You better leave if you don’t want to me to call security. Urrrh… I wonder what is wrong with everyone today”
Isabella rolled her eyes. Jeezz. Did the Lady ever shut up. She talked way too much for her size. Samson didn’t reply either. Instead, he went straight to the other Lady who was simply staring at him with a confused expression on her face.
“Get out out here now” Samson said to the Lady, looking into her eyes and compelling her. The Lady did as she was told immediately. Then Samson turned to Isabella.
“You have to compel her first” he said, referring to the red head.
Isabella nodded, unsure of herself. “Yes I know that I have to” she replied, “I just don’t know how to”
“You just have to look her in the eyes and say what you want her to do… And mean it” Samson replied.
