Wendy’s perseverance is strong enough to shock everyone else in the room. They think she is being over-controlled right now. They understand she cares about Princess Zena, though it’s not her duty. “Princess Yasmin, she’s dead. She got poisoned too deep inside, and her labor made her lose too much blood, no one could save her.” All doctors try to persuade her to let the Princess go. Otherwise, she may be stirring more trouble!
Wendy ignores all of them, she knows she is correct for this time. She speaks to Prince Zack, looking into his eyes. “She is my patients, if I say she’s not dead, then she is not! You put her down, please, your majesty. She’s not only your wife, but also my important patient. Please forgive me!” She steps forward and tries to take Zena back from Zack’s hands. Two of them are fighting for Zena now. To Zack’s surprise, Wendy gets more strength than him at this moment! “Bang!” Zena falls to the ground! Wendy remains calm, she holds her up, then helps her lying on the bed. Next, she keeps doing the same procedure to save her. She checks her pulses and eyes constantly. Watching Wendy from behind, all people get touched, deeply. No one thinks of how ridiculous or over-controlled anymore. They would like to obey her from now on.
Wendy turns and asks more Ganoderma soup, then pours into her mouth, none-stopping, though the soup flows out automatically. All of a sudden, she feels the soup gets into her throat, than unexpected, Zena chokes by the soup and starts to cough! She’s breathing again!
“Zena!!” Zack runs to her cheerfully. He hugs and caresses her carefully like a doll. Zena opens her eyes hardly and slowly, she’s still in danger by the way. Her heart is too weak. She gives to Zack a beautiful smile then faints again. Zack puts his finger around her nose, luckily, she has breath. “Jasmin, thank you so much…” Zack says quietly, back to her. Zena can breathe for now which is great. She needs more rest, and some medicines still.
“Your Majesty, Princess Zena remains danger.” Wendy tells him the truth, which everyone knows. Wendy orders the doctors not to stop her acupuncture points from now on, and tries to figure out some correct medicine for her. Then she strides out slowly, carried by some maids. Wendy is out!
“How’s Princess Zena?” Princess Snowie comes forward and asks.
“Dear Princess Snowie, Princess Zena is back to life, but she’s is still in danger…” One maid talks for Wendy, because she can’t even stand steady. Everyone sighs, their face look calmer now. Except for Lacey, she looks pissed. In the meantime, Sung comes back and walks straight to Wendy, “So, how’s the Princess?” Wendy looks up, with her misty eyes, drops of sweats run down from her forehead, “Your majesty, she is back to life. But she remains danger.” Wendy replies, panting. She understands Sung is back for investigation, she’s proud of him.
“Good job. Take some rest! I will go see you in the evening.” Sung replies, his glares look more gentle now. Wendy nods in weakness. However, when she tries to walk forward, she faints. “Hey, Yasmin, Yasmin! Are you okay?” Sung calls her name, while holding her. “I’m fine, your majesty… Just feel a bit dizzy, maybe from the hypoglycemia.” Wendy replies in a satisfied. The smell on Sung is so good, it’s a sort of ancient perfume made of white frangipani. Sung turns and tries to call Daisy to bring her back, while Lacey comes ahead, “Your majesty, I will take care of her. Don’t worry, you may go for your things.” Sung nods, smiling at her. “Ok, I will leave it to you then. Bring her to rest and feed something to her.”
“Yes, your majesty!” Lacey curtsy sweetness in front of him, then loud whispers to Wendy, “Sister, let me take care of you.” She grabs her with one arm on her waist, and the other one is holding her hand. Wendy nods, she is too tired to think. “No need to say anything, sister. Please rest.” Lacey replies, then they move towards Wendy’s palace. Lacey puts her on the bed, then asks some maids to prepare the food for her. “Close the door!” Lacey orders, then moves to Wendy, “Sister, I never knew you learned Chinese medical before…”
“Well, my dear sister. You only know a little about me. Same as I don’t know about you, that how much you hated me.” Wendy replies with her eyes closed, she doesn’t want to say more. Her mind is too messy. Lacey doesn’t response for a long time. She feels sad, that she doesn’t know her elder sister that much, though they are from the same family and mother! Why their characters are so much different? Besides, everyone will adore Yasmin more from today, she can’t fight that much with her now. She must wait longer, to get what she wants! In Wendy’s mind, she continues considering what type of poisons Zena has and what kind of medicine is good for her? She used to learn some Chinese medicals before with one China professor.
“Actually, I don’t hate you, sister…” Lacey replies after a long time silence, “We just fall in love with the same man, it’s not our faults. So that’s why we are meant to be enemies.” Wendy thinks for a while, says, “Listen, sister, I have no heart for Sung anymore and I don’t mind you love him. He’s yours now! I just hope you live your life full and don’t bother me, that’s it!” Wendy gets a bit impatient from this conversation, always about men! It’s very foolish to live for men. She doesn’t want to make more mess in this world. She just wants to figure out how to leave here and go back to her families, if there’s a chance!
“Wow, my sister seems to change a lot. Why are you being so falsely now? I knew you love Sung when we were kids. And you tried your best to be here with him.” Lacey laughs in helplessness. But Wendy moves her head aside, replies with uncaring, “Whatever, you believe it or not…” Wendy never hides her emotion, though she is a very emotional woman. If she feels something or something comes to her mind, she must say it. That’s why many people here don’t like her. Anyway, she is too exhausted and shocked today from Zena’s case. She can never imagine how women can be so fragile when they have kids?! They would sacrifice their lives for men and kids, how brave of it! Also the dark side of this palace, even though you stay alone and keeps the distance of people, they still come to hurt or kill you! So she decides to be the best and independent woman here, then no one could harm her! She must stay here as long as she could to configure out the way back! She covers a warm sheet on, then closes her eyes. Lacey leaves quietly the time she sees this.
After a while, Wendy wakes up to eat something, then she moves toward the Imperial Academy of Medicine. The moment she steps in, all doctors are checking the books about the poison. You could see no one rests or eats for a long time. The King said they must figure out how to cure Zena. Seeing Yasmin coming, the Judge here stands up for greeting her. He is a very nice and wise man, he likes true and talented people. After he saw how Wendy treating Zena, he admires her a lot!
“Welcome, my dear Royal Princess!” The Judge and other doctors take a bow and greet her.
