“Bring it here!”
The maids looked at her questioning, but at the end they still listened to her and brought the bucket.
Stacy on the other side was already getting inpatient, and didn’t even care that it was dirty, and took over the bucket by herself, she threw the water on Abigail before anyone was able to even react.
“You…”
“Miss…”
There were only two voiced in the room, the whole living room was now drowning in dirty cleaning water, and on Abigail’s whole body was water, on her hair, her body, her face, she was dripping with water. Her black shiny eyes were wide with surprise, and she was looking at Stacy disbelievingly.
Stacy was the only one who started to laugh, a laugh that was loud and long.
“This is what you get for seducing Bill, if you keep doing that, I will find a different way to torture you.”
Abigail was shaking all over, because it was cold water that she was poured with, but what was even worse were Stacy’s words . she was just standing there, letting her do whatever she wanted, in the middle of the dirty water pond, there was nothing she could do to stop her.
But she still wanted to explain herself.
“Miss Stacy, we really didn’t…”
“Shut up!” She didn’t even let Abigail finish her sentence, and spit on her face.
“Oh, oh, what is happening here?” Annie came into the room, dragging out her sentence, and the air in the room suddenly froze. She looked at Abigail from up to down, then she walked to Stacy.
“Stacy, what is wrong, why are you angry again? Wait till your brother gets wind, he will be so mad.” For the first time, and against expectations, Annie didn’t show joy that Abigail was embarrassed, but she was Switzerland.
Stacy started to tremble, she was afraid of her brother, but, she still pointed at Abigail and said, “Annie, this stupid woman was seducing Bill again, that’s what made me angry, and I wanted to harass her!”
“Okay, just forget it.” Annie took her hand down, and patted on her back, “Stacy, this is just a misunderstanding, I saw what happened in the news yesterday, that’s really not what happened, I can promise you that!”
Abigail was not really confused, and looked towards Annie, why would she help her?
Annie’s eyes were moving, showing that whatever was on her mind, was not to help Abigail.
“What happened was…” She tried to be on Abigail’s side, and told what happened yesterday.
“Really?” Stacy couldn’t believe her, and looked at Abigail, then she looked back at Annie, asking for the truth.
“Of course, don’t you believe me anymore? Come on, you should go back and study more, I will take care of the rest. I promise I won’t tell Joshua, now go.”
Stacy left the room after Annie convinced her, and vanished behind the door.
Then Annie turned around and said, “Why are you not cleaning this up yet, it’s all dirty, what are you waiting for?” She was yelling at the maids, telling them what to do.
“And, what happened today was only a misunderstanding, just get it all cleaned up, and don’t tell anyone about it, or I won’t be this nice anymore.” She told the maids, then, after they were all nodding their heads, and left to clean up.
Annie turned to Abigail and said to her, “Are you alright? Go and get changed, be careful you don’t get a cold.” Her voice was not as cold as usually, but even warm and soft, it gave Abigail the feeling that she was being fake. She touched her small face, and when she realized that she was still having dirty water on her, she knew that she was not dreaming.
She cleaned herself up, and noticed that the place where the hot water had hit her was now red, at least, it was not boiling hot water, otherwise she wouldn’t have been so lucky.
After she cleaned herself, she went back to the living room, and saw that Annie was still there, as if she was waiting for her.
Abigail walked towards Annie and said, “Thank you.”
Annie laughed, the nice person she was just a minute ago was gone, and now she was the usual Annie again.
“Sit down, we need to talk.” She pointed at the couch.
Abigail sat down, as she was told, but she wasn’t sure what the two of them would be talking about.
“What about you and I do a deal?” Annie leaned back, her body leaning on the back of the couch, her feet up, she did her nails red, and she put her hand on her legs. Her eyes were fixed on Abigail, she was very interested in what she was going to propose.
“What kind of deal?” Abigail was very sensitive to the word “deal”, so she asked her carefully, not understanding what the hell Annie wanted to do.
Annie blinked her eyes that were covered in make up, then she showed a big smile on her face, “You just saw, Stacy is full of hate towards you, she would try to hurt you anytime, so, you are in a troubled situation.”
She snipped her fingers, her confident eyes on Abigail, “What I want is for you to throw yourself on Joshua, and pull him back from that woman called Harry, and in return, I am going to protect you from Stacy.”
Abigail didn’t answer, and Annie leaned towards her.
“This really makes sense for you, you know how Stacy is, whenever she gets mad, there is nothing she wouldn’t do, and plus, she really hates you to death, so if you want to survive these three years, it’s basically impossible. We don’t want you to die before you have paid your dept back.”
“But, only if you help me to get Joshua back, I will make sure that you can get through these three years safely, and if I have married Joshua, I will even try to let you go earlier, how about that?”
It really sounded good to her, that, Abigail had to admit. Annie was right, she wasn’t even sure herself if she could get through these years. But, she didn’t want to help her with Joshua, and, she didn’t even know if she would succeed.
Joshua was just like Stacy, full of hate towards her, they use different ways to punish her, but they have the same goal, to let their anger out on her.
She shook her head, “Miss Annie, I think you think too much of me, I am nothing in Joshua’s heart, how would I ever get his heart back? To be honest, he never even was into me before.”
“Who asked you to get his heart back?” Annie was furious, “No one except for me is allowed to have his heart, all I need is for you to get the man back.”
“That I also cannot do.” Abigail smiled innocently, she didn’t think the same way as Annie.
“You can!” Annie folded her hands, she had to admit this fact, “You can, Joshua has only cared about two people in his life, one was Michelle, and one is you.”
“How is that possible.” Abigail didn’t want to think about it, and shook her head, she didn’t think she had the magic.
Annie was already annoyed by her, she has never taken the time to talk to a person so detailed, “You don’t need to care so much, the only thing I want from you is to get him away from Harry and back into this house, and I will promise you to survive these three years.”
Abigail has always hated people who weren’t truthful, she was a person that laid everything out in the open, she walked straight, and stood straight, this kind of thing, she was not able to do. Even if Joshua would harass her to death, it was what she deserved.
She shook her head, and said while Annie looked at her disbelieving, “Miss Annie, I am sorry, but I can’t do it.”
She stood up and left, while Annie was still on the couch, beating her fists into the cushion, she was full with anger, “If you really are that stupid to not make this deal with me, then don’t blame me later on for being hard on you!”
That night, she went back to that room, it was Joshua and Michelle’s bedroom, and for her, it was a place full of disgrace.
She didn’t want to be there, because whenever she went into the room, she would see the bed, the one she had her worst night on. There were still blood stains on the floor, no one has been in here, so obviously no one would clean it up, that was the blood of her virginity, that she had kept for 18 years!
The weird thing was that something was pulling her into that room, Abigail was curious about the content of that diary, so she went inside.
She was never the kind of person who was curious, and she didn’t understand what it was that made her try to get to know Michelle so much.
During dinner, Joshua has not appeared at the table, it has already been about half a month that he hadn’t dined with them, and Abigail was sure that he wouldn’t be home, just like the other days.
So, she opened that door that led to their bedroom, the key she used was given to her by Joshua, maybe he forgot, but he never asked it back, so it gave her a chance to come in.
On the wall was the old picture of Michelle, in which she was laughing openly, that smile, had so many secret feelings in them, just like the smile of Mona Lisa, that no one could say what it was.
The diary was on her cosmetic table, on a place, that it cannot be missed.
Abigail was curious why Joshua never came to read it, even if the person has already died, he never even went inside to take a look. He believed everything about Michelle, so Abigail also never asked more.
This kind of trust was touching, Abigail was a little jealous of Michelle.
She took the diary and opened it carefully, she turned to the page that she stopped at last, and started reading.
April 10th
These days I was reading the documents that I got carefully, I know her name is Annie, she is the daughter of a rich family. She is really lucky, ever since her childhood she was living a rich life, not like me, I am coming from a poor family, my mother is sick, and my father is a gambler!
Why can people be so different? We are all human.
Annie called me, and said I should do my best to seduce Joshua, I have been working at a bar, I have seen a lot of men, and of course I know men won’t worship women who they can get easily.
I need to wait for the right time, patiently wait.
April 12th
Oh my god, why does Daddy know where I am? He even called me today to ask for money, he said I am not in a rich family, there has to be money.
Where would I get money from?
I declined and it made him angry, now he wants to put my picture in the newspaper to look for me, he said he has to find me!
How can he do that! If the Caunter family knows about it, I am going to be so embarrassed, I have lied to them, and he is surely going to be mad, and kick me out!
No, my good life has just started, Miss Caunter has already started to accept me, I can’t be find now, I can’t show my real identity.
There’s nothing I can do, I had to tell Jacky about it, he said he was going to take care of it, I don’t know how, all I can do is wait for his news.

How could he do that, Jacky, how did he…
I never thought he was going to do that to my father.
Jacky told me, he killed my father.
Oh my god! Even if I hated him but he was still my father!
Jacky said it was Annie’s idea, Annie wanted him to never have the chance to talk about me.
How can they be such people!
I said I can’t pretend anymore, and now, they locked up mom as well, they told me, if I cooperate, my mom is going to be alright, and if I regret what I have done, her life will also end.
How can I do that!
I have already cause father’s death, I can’t cause the same to mom as well. Apparently, all I can do now, is to keep pretending, but I already am regretting…
