Cecilia yelled and knocked over the bowl. She stood difficultly with her hands on the hips, “Don’t ask me, I know nothing.”
Selina suddenly felt annoyed. Originally, she was about to humiliate Cecilia and Eric, but seeing Cecilia like this, she lost her interest all of a sudden.
She felt that even though she had avenged on them, could she still treat them the same way they treated her back then
Her mind flied back to five years ago, in which Eric and Cecilia had not deceived her to poison Darren, and they had not broken her arms and legs.
Now Eric and Cecilia were similar to her back then, but not exactly the same. She was bewildered…
Without any thoughts of staying any longer, she stood up, “I know I am not welcome here. I am leaving now, Dad!”
She grabbed her bag and went outside.
She instantly felt lighter after leaving the house.
After her rebirth, she had no feeling for this family anymore. If not she wanted to revenge on Tracy and her daughter, she wouldn’t have come back at all.
Before she stepped forth, she heard footsteps approaching from behind, “Selina.”
She turned around and saw Eric come over happily, wanting to hug her.
She pushed him away and looked at him with disgust and ridicule, but no other feelings anymore.
“Look at this!”
Eric took out an exquisite box from his pocket. He opened the box, which contained the Buddha beads she had mentioned before.
“Silly girl, are you happy now I bring it back for you.”
As he said, he grabbed her hand and wanted to put it on her wrist.
Selina drew her hand back. Her hatred gradually disappeared as she saw Eric in front of her. She just wanted to mock herself. Back then, she was too young and naive. How could she fall in love with a person like this
“What’s the matter”
“Cecilia is about to give birth to a child. Don’t you think she has changed this time you came back Shouldn’t you ask about her”
Eric frowned, “Why do you mention her I just want to talk about you and me now.”
Selina laughed lightly, and she stopped pretending, “Eric, what makes you so confident that I will still wait for you Your handsomeness Your talent Or the way you messed with my younger sister and still act so obsessed with me”
Eric’s expression was frozen.
“Give this Buddha beads to your wife. I am afraid that she might not sleep well at night.”
With that, she left with a smile. She no longer needed to pretend to be in love in front of the person she hated. This feeling was so great.
She was not a saint, so she could not forgive Eric and Cecilia. However, she should try to let herself go and live a life without hatred.
Without calling a cab, she walked out of the mansion alone.
She walked along the street under the moonlight. She texted Darren habitually I miss you very much now. I let go of something and I am very happy.
Right after she sent the text, a car stopped in front of her.
“You are Selina Reed” The man stared at her and asked.
“Who are you”
She turned around and was about to escape before she got caught by the person from behind with her mouth covered. She was then dragged into the car.
Her hands and legs were tied and tape on the mouth. Selina sat in the back seat. Those people did not seem like kidnappers. She strived to rescue herself as she saw the car was driven out of A City.
The stalwart man sitting next to her turned around to look at her, “Miss Reed, if you don’t want to get hurt, then stop struggling.”
“Hmmmm!”
“We will untie you when we arrive at the place!”
The car drove for an entire night. She was dizzy and sleepy, her body almost falling apart. She was dragged off the car by someone. She sighed in relief. Finally, she walked on the ground again.
She was held to enter a mansion. There was a person sitting in the empty living room.
“Miss Reed, good to see you again.”
“You kidnapped me!”
It was Jacky Taylor, Sophia Taylor’s father, that kidnapped her!
“I ‘invited’ you. Please have a seat, Miss Reed.”
The man untied her. Selina moved her wrists and sat opposite to Jacky, “Is it how the people from City D ‘invite’ someone It’s the first time I learn about this.”
Jacky was in a Chinese tunic suit, taking a sip of the tea. He poured a cup to her front, “It is indeed abrupt to invite Miss Reed here with such a method. This cup of tea is my apology.”
She met Jacky once in the banquet held by the Smith family. She only considered this man to be trifled with, but now she thought that he looked refined, though he looked like the boss of a gang. Yet, his behaviors carried gentility.
“Mr. Taylor, what do you ‘invite’ me here for'”
“I am interested in funding movies recently and I want you, Miss Reed, to be the leading lady.”
“The conditions are”
Jacky’s look changed, “Why do you think I have conditions”
“If you really want to make a film, you should talk to my manager. Mr. Taylor is not like those lunatic fans, who just want to meet me; besides, your daughter is more famous than me, there’s no reason that you do not help your own daughter. Let’s get it straight, Mr. Taylor!”
“Since Miss Reed is so frank, then I will tell you frankly. Darren Auton is my future son-in-law. My daughter and him can be counted as childhood sweethearts, I don’t want the third one to ruin my daughter’s happiness.”
“What if I don’t agree”
Jacky frowned, “Do you have to be the third one Mike Smith likes you. You don’t have to neglect a good man, and pick Darren, who is already engaged. It’s better for you future development if you choose Mike Smith.”
“Mr. Taylor, measuring love with benefits, you must have never fallen in love with anyone, right”

Once upon a time, someone asked him in a similar way. Jacky stood up suddenly. His eyes seemed to pierce through her.

Jacky was shocked by what she said.
“Nobody dares to refuse my request in the entire City D. Do you know the consequence to the people that refuse me” Jacky sat down and looked at her.
Several men in black walked in from the front door. Murderous look emanated from each one of them.
“Are you trying to kill me”
Jacky gave order without raising his head, “Bring her away!”
Two men walked close to her, which made Selina so scared that she swallowed saliva, “If you really kill me, Darren will not forgive you. He will revenge for me!”
“Please come with us!”
“Don’t touch me!”
She darted the person on the seat. Such a big shot actually wanted to deal with a little woman as unknown to public as her.
She followed two men and left the mansion unwillingly.
“Elder Master, you changed your mind”
Jacky twirl the tea cup in his hand and contemplated for a few seconds, “Go to City A and investigate something for me secretly. Do not let anyone find it out.”
