Robin felt it odd, but he still walked to the sound systems.
There was no man by the car, and as he approached the cars, and the louder the sound. Robin, frowning slightly, walked over.
He simply turned off the power to the sound system, but there were two other systems sounding, so the music continued to play.
Robin stood there waiting for a moment, but no one came up to stop him. He was curious that what would happen if he turned off all the speakers.
As he thought so, he headed for the other two cars.
When he knocked off the speakers in the last car, the music in the middle of the field stopped, and without music, the dancing crowd became confused, but still did not stop dancing.
It was like a group of kids doing weird things for no reason.
Music couldn’t solve the problem, and people without music wouldn’t wonder who turned it off.
Robin reconnected the music. The crowd came back to dancing with the rhythm as the music started again. They seemed like trained professionals, and followed every beat of the music.
And if it wasn’t for the music, then what enchanted the people? And who prepared the music?
Robin walked back to Yuer.
He couldn’t bear to see Yuer dancing with another man intimately.
He went over and pulled Yue into his arms, accompanying her to complete the dance.
Maybe it was out of jealousy. Robin wondered why he would be enchanted by just a slight whiff of the faint smell emanating from Yuer.
After a long time, Robin seemed to smell something again, but this time, he was so absorbed in the dancing that he forgot to investigate the cause.
When the sun shone on his face, a new day had begun.
Robin opened his eyes, but he was no longer surprised as he was yesterday, and sat up slowly.
Yuer was still sleeping beside him, and there were men and women beside them. The campfire was out become a pile of ashes.
It was a quiet night again, and Robin felt relieved.
But he had no idea of what happened to him. He didn’t even know how he had fallen into a coma, let alone find out who was behind it.
When Yuer got up, she was shy and puzzled, as if she could remember what happened last night.
“Do you remember what happened last night? Robin said.
Yue nodded. “But it doesn’t feel like me. It made me feel so shameful.”
Her face was flushed with red.
Robin knew she was not conscious last night, but he didn’t know why she would twitch.
Robin wanted to give up looking for the reasons, but if he did, Yuer would be like that forever. He couldn’t bear to see her like that. Looking at Yuer, who was wondering what was going on, Robin asked, “We may have to stay here for a few more days.”
“Why? Aren’t we going to find Sienna?” Yuer didn’t know what was happening to her.
Robin simply replied, “There are things I need to deal with here. Just listen to me. Let’s go to the nearby town and we’ll come back later in the evening.”
The more she thought of what had happened here last night, the more she wanted to refuse. She felt that what happened to her was terrible, but she had some expectation in her heart.
When they washed and ate food and got everything ready, Robin went back to the campfire at four o’clock in the afternoon.
There didn’t always seem to be the same crowd. For example, the thin man Robin had seen last night didn’t show up tonight, and he saw a few new faces. He didn’t know if they were new here.
But there had always been hundreds of people here.
Robin was afraid to let go of any details this time, so he was going to to keep an eye on the field from the beginning to the end.
As the sun was setting, someone pulled firewood from a van down on the ground, which was supposed to be bonfire wood, and Robin ran after him to stop him from carrying it down.
The guy looked up at Robin and asked, “What are you doing?”
“Who asked you to send the firewood here?” Robin grabbed the man’s arm.
“I don’t know. Someone pays for it. It’s nothing dangerous.”
The man didn’t seem to be lying. So Robin asked again, “Do you bring the firewood here every day?”
The man nodded and said, “Yes, it’s been for a month. I don’t even understand why these people could play for so long.”
Robin was surprised that it had gone on for a month.
“But hasn’t anything strange happened here?”
“Strange things? Isn’t it strange enough that all these people are playing here for so long?” he said.
“I mean is there someone missing or injured?”
The man shook his head. “I didn’t find that. But I’m going to put the wood in the middle of field now.”
Robin said, “I’ll help you.”
He felt the pieces of wood, which looked like ordinary wood, so he asked again, “Where did you get this wood from?”
“From the lumbermill nearby. Why? Don’t you organize the dancing here yourself?”
Robin didn’t answer, but gave a nod.
But of course these things had nothing to do with him.
When the firewood was brought into the field, the man poured the fuel into the wood when it was six o’clock and then lit the fire.
Unlike the people here, he didn’t stay. When he got the things done, he left.
And then the revelry begun. Yuer began to dance, and Robin had to accompany her.
With the previous experience, Robin knew that the cause of the coma was most likely concerned with the aroma.
But by the time he smelled the aroma, he was completely defenseless. He felt like he indulged into the scent without his realizing it.
But he felt that there was nothing strange before he smelt the aroma and his mind was clear, but in the end, he went into coma.
Unable to figure it out, Robin wanted to try it again. Perhaps it would have different results.
