Chapter 535 The Merchant in Space

It was reasonable to encounter another space civilization while traveling in space.
The chances The Hope met space civilizations would also become more and more as humans entered deeper of the galaxy.
Humans were just like the country bumpkin who came to a big city the first time.
Chase stared at the screen, and suddenly, some strange information came and showed itself on the screen.
Scientists were all staring at the screen with curiosity.
Soon, the messages were translated, and Dasin read it out.
“Space waste collection! Various technologies, resources, and lives!”
The words made humans speechless…
Was that civilization the junk dealer in space?
Chase said slowly after a long time. “Are there also junk dealers in space?”
How could such a mighty civilization, who can travel with curvature speed and at speed twice faster than the light, was a junk dealer?
What a ridiculous sense it was!
Reba asked. “Should our translation be wrong? After all, space languages are much different than human languages. It there any mistake?”
People preferred to take this excuse.
No one could believe such a highly-advanced civilization was a junk dealer. It sounded bulls**t!
But Dasin shook his head. “No. We have mastered many languages in space with Luca’s help, so there is no mistake.”
“They are not junk dealers, but merchants in space, according to Luca’s records.”
Merchants in space?
Humans now had encountered many civilizations, such as Laku, the Dwarfs, and Luca.
They had also heard of others, such as the League of Guardians, The Cleaner, and The Devils.
Sure enough, there must be numerous civilizations in such a boundless universe.
They were of different features and different levels.
People began to imagine the features of a merchant.
Merchants might be more “gentle” than others.
At least, they wouldn’t treat their customers like bandits, even though their customers were weaker than them.
The merchant civilization was the most popular in space, offering anything his customers wanted, even something critical for customers’ development.
Now, the question was if humans should trade with the merchant?
It was a severe question.
The merchant could quickly know the level of human civilization, and it was dangerous to show level to others.
But it would also be beneficial if humans traded with the merchant.
Merchants must have been keeping something humans needed much, such as the map of the galaxy, and some advanced technologies.
If humans got a map of the galaxy, they could quickly find a suitable planet.
The planets didn’t twinkle in the dar space, so it was hard for humans to find the planet without a map.
And most importantly, humans could avoid those civilizations in space according to the map.
It would be better if the map recorded detailed information about various civilizations.
Chase was thinking about this question.
Humans couldn’t always be in social isolation, so it was necessary to contact another civilization sooner or later.
Chase discussed the Dark Forest Law with other scientists, and they reached the consensus that it was not the truth.
The law would be reasonable if the speed were limited.
But the speed was not limited, actually. The curvature travel, the wormhole, and the space gate were all the methods to surpass the light speed.
Though there should also be wars and fightings between civilizations in the universe, the law was unreasonable.
Because all the civilizations were under the detections due to the high speed, and no one could hide in the dark forest.
Humans also couldn’t, so humans had to communicate with others as long as they wanted to be one member in space.
So, humans had no need to avoid the merchant.
It would be better for humans to meet the merchant first than to meet others.
At least, they could get much knowledge and information from the merchant.
In a word, it would be beneficial to contact the merchant civilization.
Of course, this decision almost decided the future of humans, so Chase had to be careful.
He still discussed it with others after he made up his mind.
