Chapter 56: MEMORY LANE

Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

Jefferson lay on the bed looking at the sleeping DeLorna with much love in his eyes.
He had taken an oath never to let what happened between them. Though he wasn’t sure how it had happened he was not going to let it happen again.
His mind drifted back to the past three days when DeLorna met him on the bed with another woman.
Though he too wasn’t sure how the woman had got to his bed. All his thoughts were that the woman was DeLorna.
Soon Jefferson drifted into his memory lane of DeLorna walking upon him when he was just waking up from his sweet sleep after the banquet.
He wanted to say something but DeLorna didn’t let him talk and shushed him telling him to go love the woman on his bed and never come back to her.
He had pursued the woman on his bed out of his room while he stood up from his bed going inside the bathroom.
In a matter of minutes, Jefferson became completely submerged in his memory as he didn’t realize it.
He was getting submerged little by little until now when he was completely inside his memory lane.
That morning after chasing out the woman on his bed Jefferson’s eyes were red as he wondered what he had done.
He wondered who the person was that planned what happened to him. All he knew yesterday night was that he was with DeLorna only to wake up this morning and find out that she wasn’t the one on his bed but another woman.
If not for his self-control he would kill the woman on the spot but he had no choice but to hold himself back.
Sighing he got out of his bed and went straight into the bathroom. He was going to take his bath and then look for DeLorna.
If the four leaders were to see the miserable state Jefferson was in. They would be shocked right to the bones and none of them would believe what they were seeing.
Jefferson, the strongest who doesn’t seem to have any weakness, was now on the verge of tears.
Jefferson, who didn’t know what to do next, sighed. Right now he is very confused. So confused that he didn’t know what to do next.
Minutes later Jefferson came out of the toilet with water dripping from his body.
Going to the wardrobe he took some clothes and he put them on.
Pushing all the thoughts to the back of his mind he sighed and walked out of his room.
He was heading to his sister’s room to tell her of the situation first.
Getting to his sister’s room Jefferson rapped on the door gently. Immediately the door flew open and his sister’s face came.
“Come in,” Abigail said with a smile.
Jefferson smiled and walked into the room. But on getting into the room he froze in shock as his aura was released instantly.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Jefferson growled walking toward a figure sitting on the bed.
“Jeff, what do you think you are doing?” Abigail frowned, stopping Jefferson who was about to lose himself due to his anger.
Immediately Jefferson’s aura disappeared and he turned to look at his sister.
“Sis, what are you trying to do? She seduced me and made me sleep with her yesterday night and you’re telling me not to kill her.
l because of her DeLorna has left me and I don’t know where she is. I’ve tried to talk to her through the mind link but she blocked it,” Jefferson growled.
Hearing his words a smirk appeared on Abigail’s face as she looked at Jefferson.
“She didn’t seduce you rather you forced yourself on her,” Abigail replied.
“Forced me on her?” Jefferson frowned, taken aback by the shock of what his sister just said.
“Yeah, you forced yourself on her last night… Do you remember?” Abigail smiled walking towards Jefferson.
Immediately Jefferson yelled as he held his head as they hurt badly. Memories of the night before flashed in his head.
He couldn’t think straight. All he could see were the flashes of what happened yesterday. How he delivered the speech and toasted the pack members.
The flashes of him drinking wine I’ve and over again also flashed in his head.
He continued to look until it came to the part his sister was talking about. Suddenly it went blank and he couldn’t see anything again.
The image of that scene was blurry. All he could see was the image of himself and nothing else.
The remaining were blurry. Jefferson tried to remember but each time he tried the splitting headache would come rushing back to his head to counterattack his remembrance.
“Jeff, I know you can’t remember just let it go,” Abigail smiled and walked closer to Jefferson placing her hands on his head.
Jefferson sighed as he let go of the thoughts and the pain gradually subsided.
Jefferson looked at his sister by his side and sighed.
“Sis is it true that I forced myself on her?” Jefferson sighed his voice on the verge of breaking down.
“It might be hard for you to accept this but you must accept it…” Abigail sighed.
“It has happened already and there’s no way to reverse what has happened.” She continued.
“What do you think I should do now?” Jefferson sighed.
“Let go of your mate. I’m sure you two haven’t slept together yet. Accept her as your bride and Luna… She’s much stronger and wiser than your human mate.” Abigail sighed.
Jefferson looked at his sister confusedly due to her words. He did not seem to understand his sister again.
Though he knew she hated his mate he was expecting her to comfort him and assure him that all would be well.
Instead what she was saying was that he should forget about his mate and go for a person he knew not.
Didn’t she know how much he loved his mate? He was sure she knew how much he loved his mate. So why was she saying such a thing?
But what Jefferson didn’t know was that this was all his sister’s plans from the beginning.
First, she had added some sleeping pills to DeLorna’s food and then added some aphrodisiac into Jefferson’s wine then she hypnotized him to see Emily as DeLorna and then made his memory of that place blurry hypnotizing him to forget that scene.
Jefferson was sure to be heartbroken when he heard it was his sister who planned all that was happening to him now.
“But sis, why are you saying that?” Jefferson sighed. He wanted to break down but he couldn’t do so he had to be a man.
He was the strongest so there was no way he would cry.
