Chapter 50: PLANS

Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

Immediately DeLorna fell asleep when the door to the room opened and Abigail came in with a smile etched on her face.
“I see you’ve fallen asleep.” She muttered.
“Now you can’t stop me. Very soon you’ll break the mate bond and leave all by yourself,” Abigail muttered looking at the sleeping DeLorna.
“I’ll be back to get you.” She continued and walked out of the room.
Going out of the room she went straight out of the house to the house she went to a week ago.
Knocking at the door a slim tall figure opened the door and Abigail entered.
The slim figure who opened the door of the house was a woman with a rather petite body, brown hair and green eyes.
This was the woman Abigail wanted with Jefferson. The woman was amongst the strongest in the pack but the only one who knew of it was Abigail as she was the one who trained her because she wanted her with Jefferson.
Getting into the house Abigail sat on the couch and looked at the woman who was also looking at her.
“Get ready. It’s tonight,” Abigail sighed.
“But what of DeLorna?” Emily the woman frowned.
“Don’t worry I’ve taken her out of the way,” Abigail smiled.
“Did you kill her?” Abigail frowned.
“Na I just put some in her food and drink and now she’s knocked out,” Abigail smiled.
Hearing Abigail’s words Emily smiled. “But how am I going to get Jefferson to sleep with me?” She frowned.
“You shouldn’t worry about that, all you should worry about is making yourself ready for my brother as you’re about to become his Luna,” Abigail smiled.
She had been planning for this for about a month and tonight was the night the plans were going to work.
She was going to make sure DeLorna leaves the pack out of her after knowing what Jefferson did.
She was sure Jefferson would have no way of explaining what happened no matter what.
She was going to make sure the situation looked as much as Jefferson would have nothing to say to explain his actions.
She was going to make it possible. she knew Jefferson had come back from the war that was why she had made DeLorna eat the food.
Jefferson was going to think that his mate was tired and needed to sleep so he wouldn’t try to wake her up. Besides, if he tried to wake her up he wouldn’t be able to because she wouldn’t wake up because of the food. Well, who cares. She was just going to make the outcome good.
Her plan right now was to make sure Emily gets pregnant once Jefferson sleeps with her. She was sure Jefferson hadn’t slept with DeLorna yet and was a hundred per cent sure of that.
“I’ll be going now,” Abigail sighed and stood up from the couch heading to the door.
“I’ll repeat myself, get ready and make sure to attend the banquet. I’ll try my best to make Jefferson notice you,” Abigail sighed and went out of the room.
She was sure no woman would be able to get Jefferson’s attention at the banquet as his mind would be fixed on his mate.
The only way was to get him drunk and making Jefferson drunk wasn’t an easy job. She knew how hard it was for her to get drunk and talk more or less of Jefferson who was far stronger than her.
She had to make him drunk at all costs and she was ready to pay the price of making her brother drunk. But she was going to make sure he didn’t know she was the cause of his drunkenness.
Thinking of this Abigail walked out of the house and headed in another direction.
*****
The door to the elder’s place opened and Jefferson came out with a tired look.
He had just finished discussing some of the things that bothered him with the elders and had heard what they had to say.
Also, he told them about the battle and all they did was shake their heads which annoyed him quite a lot.
But he was too tired to make any trouble with them so he didn’t say anything and just left them.
His mind was on his mate. He wondered how she had fared for the past three days he wasn’t around.
When he came back earlier he had sent one of his soldiers to tell his mate that he was back and that she should prepare for the banquet which would be held in an hour.
He had spent too much time with the elders talking to them. He began to wonder if what he was telling them was relevant but then he pushed the thoughts out of his mind and focused.
Soon he got to his room. Opening the door he was expecting DeLorna to jump happily on him but the wait he saw was different.
On the bed was DeLorna sleeping peacefully. Her breathing was regulated and Jefferson felt a peace of mind.
Seeing that his mate was asleep Jefferson sighed and went towards her.
Putting her well on the bed, he tucked her well in the quilt with a smile on his face.
He stroked her hair with a smile on his face.
He wondered why she had slept as he could see that the cloth she wore was rather special. Be guessed she might have been ready for the banquet but then decided to sleep a little before the time not knowing it would turn into a deep sleep.
He could see a smile on her face the moment he stroked her hair and guessed she must be having a rather good dream.
Right now Jefferson had forgotten about his fatigue and felt energized. Looking at his mate gave him peace of mind and happiness he had never known before.
His mate was just too beautiful that any time he stared at her she became even more beautiful than ever.
The moon had blessed him and he knew it. Right now he felt as if he should not attend the banquet but he knew he dared not to.
He had no choice but to attend the banquet alone.
He couldn’t wake his mate just because he wanted her to attend the banquet with him.
Sighing he knew the banquet would begin in some minute’s time and he would be needed there.
As the alpha of the pack, he needed to be at the banquet no matter what.
Kissing DeLorna on the forehead he went to the bathroom to wash up.
*****
Ten minutes later Jefferson came out of the bathroom all washed up.
He had made sure to wash all the filth in his body thoroughly.
All the blood stains on his body and hair were washed away. His muscular chest was bare as he only had a towel wrapped around his waist with water dripping from his body.
Going to the wardrobe he looked at the clothes and picked one random one to wear.
He was sure if his mate was awake she wouldn’t allow him to wear the clothes to the banquet.
But since she was still sleeping he didn’t care. Anyway, he didn’t plan to stay long at the banquet. He planned to leave the banquet after giving a speech and having some drinks.
He wanted to sleep beside his mate as he was missing her already.
“I see you’re ready for the banquet.” A voice spoke at Jefferson’s back.
Jefferson knew who it was and didn’t turn back immediately but smiled. “Yeah, I’m ready.”
“We should go together since your mate is not awake.” The voice said.
“That would be nice,” Jefferson sighed, turning around to face his sister who was dressed up.
“Let’s go,” Abigail smiled and walked out of the room with Jefferson.
