Jefferson woke up with a start as he was sweating. Sweat covered his whole being and he was breathing heavily.
Subconsciously he touched his heart to feel if it was still beating.
What the hell was happening? What the hell was the dream he had just now?
The dream felt so real. What was the dream implying? What was the moon goddess trying to show him?
He didn’t understand.
After some minutes his breathing became stabilized and he looked at DeLorna sleeping beside him.
Sighing he used his hands to stroke her hair which was scattered across her face.
A smile spread across his face as he used his hands to stroke her face.
She was the most beautiful person he had ever laid his eyes on and she would continue to be the most beautiful as long as he lived.
He loved her with all his heart. Remembering his dream of him killing his face his body shivered and he hoped the moon goddess was just trying to warn him. He knew no matter what his mate would do he would never raise his hands to hit her.
“I never knew you were so romantic.” A voice said, jolting Jefferson out of his thoughts.
Immediately he looked at DeLorna who had her eyes closed.
Looking at the eyes he knew she was the one that had just spoken right now as she had woken up and was trying to pretend.
Jefferson smiled and continued stroking DeLorna’s hair. After a while, DeLorna opened her eyes and looked at Jefferson who was staring at her waiting for her to open her eyes.
“So you’ve finally decided to stop pretending,” he smiled and continued to stroke her hair.
“Well I was enjoying the feeling of you stroking my hair and didn’t want to wake up,” DeLorna smiled and adjusted her position putting her head on Jefferson’s lap while looking at his face.
“You know I want him in your arms like this forever.” She smiled.
Hearing DeLorna’s words Jefferson smiled. “Don’t worry I promise you we’ll be together soon once we finish the war. We’ll settle down and have kids then watch them grow,” Jefferson smiled.
Hearing Jefferson’s words made DeLorna’s face go red. “How many kids do you want?” She smiled and asked after some time.
“I want five kids. Three girls that would be as beautiful as you and two boys that would be as handsome and as strong as me,” Jefferson said after some time.
“No, I want six, three beautiful girls and three handsome and strong boys,” Jefferson said, stroking his chin.
“Six!” DeLorna’s eyes popped out in shock.
“Who’s going to give birth to six children for you?”
“Am not going to give birth to boys. Boys are very stubborn and hard to take care of. I would rather give birth to girls who would look like me and I would only give birth to,” DeLorna pouted.
“Why just two girls? Make it a boy and a girl so it would be fair,” Jefferson smiled.
“No way I’m giving birth to a boy,” DeLorna pouted.
“But I want a boy,”; Jefferson replied.
“But I’ll be the one to give birth to him or her so it’s my choice I’ll decide,” DeLorna smiled.
“But it’s unfair of you to give birth to only girls,” Jefferson smiled.
“How is it unfair? It’s my stomach I’m going to use to carry them. Maybe you’ll lend yours if you want a boy,” DeLorna replied jokingly.
“Ahhh no way,” Jefferson smiled.
“Exactly one of the reasons I’m refusing to give birth to a boy,” DeLorna smiled.
Right now Jefferson was full of smiles that if the four leaders of the pack should see Jefferson I’m the state he was in they would be so shocked that they would think they were dreaming.
They wouldn’t believe it was Jefferson whom they knew. Jefferson didn’t smile. A cold heartless being to his enemies.
They would never believe he was the one.
They would think it was another person.
Jefferson sighed and looked at DeLorna while smiling. “I want to kiss your lips badly. They look so alluring that I want to get a taste of it.”
Hearing Jefferson’s words DeLorna’s face went red in embarrassment and she immediately covered her lips.
“That’s why I said I won’t give birth to a boy. You and he would always bully me.” She said, covering her lips.
“I’m not bullying you. I’m just saying the truth,” Jefferson smiled.
“No you’re bullying me and I’ll tell the elders that you like to bully me once we get there,” DeLorna pouted.
Hearing DeLorna’s words Jefferson smiled bitterly. What the hell was she saying? She would tell their matters to those freaking old elders who were nothing but a sack of bones. He couldn’t accept it.
Looking at DeLorna who still covered her lips and was looking at him. “Those elders are nothing but a sack of bones. So they can’t do anything even if you tell them I’m bullying you.” He smiled.
Hearing his words a smile curled up on DeLorna’s lips. “I would tell the elders what you just said now.” She smiled.
Jefferson smiled bitterly hearing her words. Though he knew the elders would do nothing to him. He could not dare to call them a sack of bones in their faces. And DeLorna was heard threatening to tell them he called them a sack of bones.
Though they were not going to do anything to him. He was nervous about the fact that DeLorna was going to tell them he called them a sack of bones. And looking at the expression on her face she meant it.
And here again, he was supposed to take her to visit the elders today. What a drag!
DeLorna frowned looking at Jefferson who seemed to be deep in thinking. “What are you thinking?” She frowned.
“Are you worried that I would tell the elders and you would receive a spanking,” DeLorna giggled.
Jefferson was forced to smile hearing DeLorna’s giggle. He didn’t know what to say as he was confused by her actions.
“Ok don’t worry, I won’t tell them.” She continued.
Jefferson pretended to be relieved and heaved a sigh of relief. But in truth, his mind was far away as he was thinking of something else.
“So when are we going to visit the elders and have our tour in the pack?” DeLorna smiled.
“Go wash up and we’ll go,” Jefferson smiled.
DeLorna sat up on the bed and looked at Jefferson who was still in thought.
Going near him she kissed him on the lips before going to prepare to wash up.
