Chapter 25: THE FIGHT

Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

Jefferson, who had left the meeting after DeLorna’s mind linked him, was burning with fury.
After leaving with a word he sped out of the place running with all his might. He wished his sister wasn’t so useless at the time of his needs. Well, he couldn’t blame her; that was the life she had decided to live. He only wished that she could come back to her senses and be more responsible.
He didn’t look back as he ran to the pack. He wished he could tear the wolf attacking his pack to pieces.
He thought of his mate who had fainted. He was sure the pack members would have gone to the safe house. But what about his mate, how would she go there when she didn’t know the place?
From the situation, he saw when she mind-linked him. She was looking fragile and seemed like she’d faint at any time.
Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks. What if the wolves had captured his mate and had used her to contact him so he could rush over and then set a trap for him?
But as soon as he thought about this, He pushed the thought to the back of his mind and sped off once again. He didn’t care if it was a trap laid for him. He would enter the trap willingly and save his mate.
He swore to skin his pack members alive first before he would go rescue his mate cause he was sure they would be amongst the cause she was captured.
He could tell that they didn’t like her. But that didn’t give them the audacity not to protect her.
Thinking of this, he increased his speed. He didn’t want to transform yet so he was a bit slow. But his emotions became his fuel and drove him to become faster even without him transforming.
Soon he got to the gate of the pack.
Immediately he got there he could see the guards lying dead at the front of the gate. The place reeked of blood that he had to twitch his nose.
Immediately, his anger boiled to the highest level as he walked slowly into the pack.
As he walked further, he saw some bodies which he guessed to be the guard on the floor. Some were dead and others were severely injured.
Jefferson was sure this wasn’t done by an omega wolf. It could only be done by a beta wolf or an Alpha.
Suddenly he sniffed the air and frowned.
His instinct was screaming danger as he rushed ahead in search of his mate. He could vaguely perceive her scent so he followed it.
Though using his nose like this didn’t sit quite well with him.
He endured and continued the search.
He ran across the empty road of the pack as he could hear the sounds of someone beating something and some human figures groaning in pain. He couldn’t tell who was fighting but his instinct told him to rush over.
Though the place was quite far he ran with all his might to place.
Getting to the place he saw a figure flying toward him with his mate on her back.
Immediately he caught the figure and placed her down gently.
Seeing it was one of the pack members he smiled. Though he didn’t know what had happened he was very grateful to see his pack members protect his mate.
He looked at the floor and saw six figures on the floor groaning in pain. He recognized them as the members of his pack. Raising his head he looked at the attacker of his pack, a tall and muscular man clad in only boxers before he smirked.
“You’re brave. Attacking my pack! Hun?”
“Who are you,?” the man frowned.
“I’m who you don’t want to meet. Wolves worst nightmare,” Jefferson replied walking close to the figure after putting it down.
“My worst nightmare? Hun! What the hell is that?” The man in boxers smirked. It was obvious he didn’t recognize Jefferson as he would have been shaken if he recognized who he had been talking to.
Jefferson smirked as he walked closer to the figure in boxers. He was sure this was the attacker of his pack. He swore to make the man suffer. Torture him and make him reveal who had given them the information that I wasn’t present in the pack.
He knew they couldn’t have been lucky and attacked the pack today just because they wanted to. It was someone who told them he wasn’t around and neither was my sister.
The figure seeing Jefferson walking toward him smiled. “Just hand over the girl and I’ll leave. Or else don’t blame me for not being nice.
The female who was carrying DeLorna on her back shook her head in pity; she was sure the figure didn’t know he was talking to the Alpha of the pack.
Hearing the man’s demand, Jefferson smiled. He had been thinking of what he’ll do should this happen. Though he had secretly sworn in his heart that he would go rescue her even if it was a trap.
If he was a little late his mate would have been captured and used against him.
Even if he was a minute late.
“So what do the wolf pack plan on doing with the girl?”Jefferson asked.
“We’ll use her to threaten the Alpha…”
“Just keep quiet, do you think your probing would work on me? What we wolf pack have in mind to do with the girl is absolutely none of your business.” He yelled.
“Well, I must say the wolf pack has crossed the line. They attacked my pack and even want to take away my mate so they’ll use her against me. That’s war. Tell them I’ve declared and I won’t stop until I’ve exterminated the last of you,” Jefferson growled.
Hearing Jefferson’s words the figure froze in shock and looked at Jefferson. You just said your mate. Are you the Aloha of the pack?” He managed to ask.
“Well that doesn’t count because you’re going to leave your life behind in this pack today,” Jefferson replied walking slowly towards the man.
“Let’s see how strong the Alpha of the pack is. I’ve always heard the rumours about how strong you are but I’ll confirm that today. I hope you don’t disappoint me.” The man laughed and transformed into a wolf.
Hearing the man’s words, the female who carried DeLorna on her back shook her head in pity. She couldn’t help but imagine if the man was drunk before coming to attack their pack and didn’t even try to run when he realized that Jefferson was the Pack’s Alpha.
He was even boasting that he wanted to have a showdown with their Alpha and he thought now was the right time.
For heaven’s sake, Jefferson was the strongest followed by his sister. She couldn’t imagine the kind of beating the man would receive.
Their Alpha would beat the hell out of him and not show him any mercy for several reasons. First, he was angry that he attacked his pack.
Second, he tried to take away his mate. Third, he even had the mind to challenge the Alpha.
These three reasons were enough to make their Alpha want to kill him. But she was sure that he would spare him because he needed someone to deliver his message to the wolf pack.
Jefferson’s mouth curled up into a smirk when he heard what the man said. The man was a fool. Challenging him when he gave him the chance to run away he could deliver the message he said to the wolf pack.
Nevertheless, he was looking for where to channel his anger as he had been angry with what happened but the idiot of a man brought himself right in. This was so perfect.
There was no need for him to transform into his lycanthrope form before he would beat the hell out of the man.
He could use his strength to beat the man to a stupor. He vowed not to show any mercy to the man.
Immediately, the man transformed. The wolf it had transformed into, stood on its hind legs and howled loudly before rushing to attack Jefferson.
Jefferson who was watching calmly heard the howl of the wolf and frowned. No wonder it was confident and wanted to have a showdown with him. It turned out he was an Alpha by rank. But with the fluctuating aura around it, Jefferson could easily guess it just reached the Alpha rank and wasn’t able to control his powers yet.
Though it was going to be a bit troublesome beating him. He still didn’t require the need to transform before he could deal with him.
Jefferson had neutralized the aura of the wolf so it wouldn’t affect the female figure who was standing not far from him and was watching everything.
He smiled and took a stance readying himself for the attack of the black wolf.
Immediately the black wolf got to Jefferson it used its claws to swipe at Jefferson’s head.
But Jefferson was quick and evaded it effortlessly while kicking it in its abdomen which sent it flying.
He appeared before the black wolf that could land on the floor and sent it Flying with a punch.
The wolf flew and hit one of the street light poles. The iron pole immediately bent and its shape became distorted when the black wolf hit it.
The black wolf stood up almost immediately and attacked Jefferson again.
Jefferson stood on a spot and awaited the black wolf. The black wolf got to Jefferson and did the same move as last time.
Immediately after Jefferson evaded it. The black wolf used its other limb to swipe horizontally at Jefferson which put him in a tight spot.
Jefferson, who was in a tight spot, had no choice but to receive the swipe head-on as he used his hands to cover his abdomen so the wolf was only able to claw at his hands.
Immediately, Jefferson jumped out of the attacking range of the wolf and watched as the wound healed.
He hadn’t expected the move from the wolf and was caught off guard for a second. But it wasn’t going to happen the second time.
The female watching the fight had her mouth open wide in surprise. She couldn’t believe that the measly wolf was able to leave a cut on their Alpha.
Though the black wolf might have succeeded in injuring the Alpha, she was sure that it would be the first and last time it would succeed.
Jefferson looked at the wolf and made an annoying gesture to the wolf infuriating the wolf.
Immediately the wolf rushed at Jefferson wanting to attack.
But this time Jefferson wasn’t going to let it attack and disappeared.
No, he didn’t disappear, he just ran at a speed faster than what the werewolf could see.
The werewolf seeing Jefferson suddenly disappeared, stopped in shock and looked around looking for Jefferson.
“Take this,” Jefferson muttered and appeared behind the werewolf and sent it flying with a punch.
The werewolf hit one of the iron poles again. Immediately, the poles bent and became disfigured.
Before the werewolf could stand, Jefferson appeared and punched it hard on its abdomen.
The wolf which was resting with its back against the iron pole was sent flying as the iron pole uprooted from the floor and flew with the werewolf on it.
Seeing this a smirk appeared on Jefferson’s lips as he watched the werewolf land on the floor in the distance.
Almost immediately the werewolf stood up and attacked again. Jefferson didn’t wait for it either to get close to him and also attacked.
Immediately he got to the werewolf he squatted a little and gave the werewolf an uppercut.
Before the werewolf could realize what was happening it was sent into the air by the uppercut.
Jefferson appeared behind the werewolf as it flew back words and punched its spinal cord.
immediately, a cracking sound was heard and the werewolf howled in pain as it landed on the floor.
