Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

DeLorna who was getting ready to explain sighed in displeasure. Why had Abigail come to ruin this good time? They were just getting started.
Jefferson smiled seeing DeLorna’s displeasure. “Don’t worry am all yours we’ll have a lot of time to do this.” He smiled getting off the bed.
Though he too was reluctant to answer his sister because she came at the wrong time. But there was something in her tone that suggested urgency so he had no choice but to reply.
Getting off the bed he straightened his messed-up clothes and arranged his hair while wiping off the lipstick on his lips and walking to the door.
Opening the door he met his sister waiting for him.
“What took you so long? You reek of her sent. What in hell were you two doing?” Abigail sniffed immediately after Jefferson came out.
Jefferson rubbed his head in embarrassment and didn’t know what to say.
“Anyway, leave that. Your attention is needed outside. A pack member was attacked by one of those measly hunters. I wouldn’t have come to disturb you but I feel it’s urgent. You need to address the members of the pack,” Abigail said to Jefferson in a serious tone.
Hearing his sister, Jefferson frowned. “How in the hell did it happen,” Jefferson growled fangs sticking out of his mouth and his aura surged out like a disturbing wave of water in the Ocean.
“Calm down Jeff,” Abigail said.
“Though he was attacked he was just injured and nothing much. He was able to escape with his life.” She said,
Hearing his sister’s statement Jefferson calmed and his aura was retracted.
“Just let’s go meet the victim you’ll understand better,” Abigail said walking away with Jefferson.
“Where are you going?” A timid voice asked behind them.
DeLorna who felt frustrated after Abigail interrupted them sighed and put back on her shirt. She wondered what was so important that It couldn’t wait till the next day.
Though she was immersed in what she was doing with Jefferson, a part of her wasn’t ready and another part just told her to go on.
Jefferson was her mate and they would have sex sooner or later so what was the essence of waiting?
Suddenly she felt an oppressive aura cover the entire place. The aura was a lot stronger than the murderous intent of Abigail though they were two different things.
Feeling the aura DeLorna frowned and got down from the bed walking to the door.
Getting to the door she heard Abigail telling Jefferson to let them go meet the victim and she wondered where they were going.
She didn’t want Jefferson to leave her alone in the room so she opened the door and asked where he was going.
Jefferson smiled seeing Abigail outside the room. “Something came up and required my attention. I’ll be back soon.” He said.
“Can I go with you?” DeLorna asked.
“Know your place human,” Abigail suddenly growled at DeLorna, scaring the hell out of her.
“Sis,” Jefferson said in dismay.
“You should follow us. It’s high time to introduce you to the members of the pack. I can’t keep you in the shadows forever,” Jefferson muttered.
Hearing she could follow them, DeLorna smiled happily and walked to Jefferson who was not far from her.
Abigail by the side just turned her face away and didn’t say anything. But her eyes showed she didn’t want DeLorna to follow them. But she didn’t want to change her brother’s decision even though she had the power to make him do so. She sighed and led the way.
Getting out of the dark corridor DeLorna gazed around in amazement as she walked out of the building.
She had never been anywhere in the pack since she came and was mesmerized by everything.
There was a light that lightened up the palace making her able to see well.
Houses of different sizes could be seen on both left and right sides. It resembled the setting of an estate but it was quite different.
In the distance was a crowd gathered around something or rather someone as they whispered amongst themselves.
Soon they got to the crowd and the crowd made way for them allowing them to reach the centre.
In the centre of the crowd was a figure lying on the floor weakly. There was blood all around him. A man in a white coat, which DeLorna guessed was a doctor, was asking the figure on the floor how he felt.
The pack members who were waiting for their Alpha to come were surprised to see him with a female apart from his sister whom they knew.
They knew that their Alpha wasn’t a womanizer and would never get closer to a woman without any concrete reasons. So they were surprised when they saw DeLorna by his side. It was even more shocking when they discovered that she was a human.
Some of them even dared to growl at her but were met with a glare from Abigail which made them look away.
Though they were filled with curiosity as to who DeLorna was, they knew better than to ask. They were sure their Alpha would surely introduce her to them since he had brought her along.
Jefferson got to the injured man who was healing slowly and bent down to observe his condition. He knew the cause of the delayed healing. It was the wolfsbane mixed with the bullet if not he was supposed to have healed and be up.
Looking around he noticed the pack members looking at him waiting for him to say something and just smiled.
Standing up he faced them and immediately everywhere became silent that even the dropping sound of a needle would be heard.
“I know you’ve all known what happened tonight. Am here to assure you that soon all the hunters would be eradicated and they would be of no threat to us,” Jefferson said.
He didn’t know what to say and just managed to say that.
Thinking of what to say. He realized the pack members were not interested in what he just said and were busy looking intently at DeLorna.
Immediately he smiled. “and this is my mate.” He said.
immediately after he said that a gasp erupted in the whole place.
