Leopoldo looked at Alonso, hesitated for a moment and then spoke:
-Since she doesn’t like you following her, then you should be a little more reserved.
Leopoldo’s meaning was clear, he had to give priority to Mariana’s feelings.
It was better for both of them if he kept it hidden.
-Yes, Mr. Durán,” Alonso answered seriously.
Leopoldo nodded and indicated to the other man to go out. He stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, observing everything below him and seeing the difference. In his head, there was a quietness he had never felt before.
Unbeknownst to him, someone was getting ready to leave?
-Mr. Cantero, your flight information.
The secretary helped Noe Cantero buy his ticket and gave him the flight information. After glancing at the information on the table, Noe nodded her head.
She recently had a long business trip that required her to travel overseas.
-I want you to keep an eye on the work for me for the last month.
Noe typed up the work schedule and gave it to his secretary. During his absence, only she could handle the work.
The secretary nodded, giving him to understand that it was okay.
-Mr. Cantero, you are very tired, so take the opportunity to relax a bit as well.
The secretary was also thinking about Noe and couldn’t help but say something.
Noe’s mind boggled at the thought of the shooting of “Untitled”.
It would have come full circle had it not been for Leopoldo’s meddling.
Everything changed because of his meddling. Until now, Noe thought that it was Leopoldo who had spoiled things for him. Otherwise, he would have been able to create opportunities for himself.
There was no doubt about that.
-I see, it’s been hard for you lately,” Noe said kindly.
The company terminated Diana Solis’ contract and Mariana’s as well. Currently, Noe’s main target was foreign stars. And he had been getting closer to that.
So much so, that Noe’s latest trips have been abroad.
In the villa.
-Bam!
At four in the morning, Mariana immediately threw the suitcase out the window. It was just a small suitcase and didn’t weigh much, but the things inside were very valuable.
Now she was saying goodbye to this place once and for all.
She wanted to say goodbye to Leopoldo and say goodbye to the past.
-Ma’am, I’ve already got the luggage.
Mariana had hired someone to pick up her luggage, and now the suitcase was in the hands of the other party. Mariana looked at the message on her phone and let out a sigh of relief in her heart.
The plane was at noon and she was going to get out of here unnoticed.
Leopoldo had many skills, but sometimes he didn’t necessarily have the upper hand. Mariana knew this man better than she knew Leopoldo’s skills.
-Follow the plan and send it overseas first,” Mariana typed in a line of information and was relieved to see it sent. The luggage was new, so Leopoldo wouldn’t find out.
And with a dead end under the window, Leopoldo would never know.
Mariana leaned her back against the wall, her heart pounding.
With the baby in her belly, she was leaving here forever. Leopoldo was such a good person that there was no need to worry about finding someone better. But that person was not Mariana.
Mariana transferred all the money into his name.
Using a different account, she transferred various amounts of money. She had to do this so as not to arouse Leopoldo’s suspicions. She bought real estate and settled in what she had abroad.
In a short time, Mariana had all the good plans.
In the future, she would be alone.
Mariana went over the process mentally and was stunned. She sat down in front of the dressing table and looked at herself in the mirror, her thoughts running wild. In the mirror, she was not in very good shape.
Mariana opened the drawer and pulled the lipstick out from inside. The whole drawer was full of unfinished lipstick.
Although Leopoldo didn’t know how to be romantic, there were actually more lipsticks in Mariana’s drawer than she could ever finish wearing in her entire life. These lipsticks were enough for Mariana to wear once a day, three hundred and sixty-five times.
But Mariana could no longer afford that luxury.
Such a life was not what she wanted. Leopoldo would never have dreamed that Mariana would actually leave him. In Leopoldo’s heart, she was still the little girl who had grown up.
After putting on some light makeup, Mariana looked much better.
She looked at the time and realized it was half past six.
-He’s almost awake,” Mariana looked at herself in the mirror and muttered a sentence to herself.
Normally at this hour, Leopoldo would be downstairs drinking coffee at that time.
Mariana pinched herself enough to see the other side.
-The lady is here? -The nanny was the first to see Mariana and spoke almost in surprise.
Today, Mariana was wearing high heels with a dress.
She rested a hand on the railing and looked at Leopoldo at the table.
-Are you awake so early?
Leopoldo didn’t even raise his head. Mariana had slept at that hour the night before, so it was reasonable for her to be up so early.
But in Leopoldo’s eyes, it was too early.
-Hmm, I can’t sleep,” Mariana answered and went downstairs.
In her mind, this was the last time she would eat with Leopoldo and there should be a fond memory between them. In Mariana’s mind, that was the intention.
In Leopoldo’s ears, there was the sound of heels scraping the floor.
He frowned and looked at her.
-You’re wearing…
As soon as he looked up, he saw Mariana quite well dressed. Mariana seemed to be in a good mood today.
-You look great today.
Leopoldo had wanted to ask the other woman why she was wearing high heels, but the words caught in his throat and he swallowed them back down.
She looked at him very carefully.
-Didn’t she?
Mariana pretended nothing had happened and agreed. At times like this she had to look pretty.
Leopoldo’s gaze rested on the other party’s body, sensing that something wasn’t right with her. But for a moment, he couldn’t tell exactly what was wrong with her.
The rest was not important, as long as Mariana was in a good mood.
-Madam, the rice porridge – the nanny placed the exclusive and nutritious rice soup next to Mariana and said kindly.
Mariana looked at the porridge in front of her and nodded.
-Thank you.
She picked up the spoon and moved with pause, looking at Leopoldo next to her, wanting to say something.
Sipping his cup of coffee, Leopoldo couldn’t help but say:
-Something to tell me?
He knew Mariana very well, in a special way.
-There is,” Mariana did not hide anything and admitted it directly.
When she finished the words, Leopoldo put down the coffee he had in his hand and looked at the woman.
-What is it? -He looked at the woman and spoke to her with special tenderness.
Mariana smiled and continued:
-I want to go buy something for the baby.
