“I do not think it is worth it.” The woman responded.
Kiara did not speak.
“Go child, I will be waiting for you when you need me.” The woman said.

Her eyes flicked open. She saw her again. She did not feel the heavy weight on her body like always and she turned around, he was there. He was still sleeping beside her, she looked at his handsome features.
She would never get tired of looking at him, he was too handsome. She stood up and went to the window, it was dark already. Tomorrow she would have to go back to the werewolf territory, she did not want to go but she had to.
She had been away for too long, all she trained for, all her hard work, all her fighting with gammas would not go in vain. She would go back and claim back her territory from Alexia.
She was tired of sitting, so she went back to bed and slept on it. Mark could feel her presence again and he wrapped his hands around her body once she lay on the bed. She felt safe, secure and untouchable in his arms. She closed her eyes and she slept off.
When she woke up the next morning, he was already up and dressed. She woke late. They exchanged their greetings and kisses and she too went to bathe and dress up. She wore a black flowing gown and packed her hair up in a bun. She looked exactly like Alexia. She wanted to, looking like her and going against her would infuriate the woman more. When they were done, the couple headed down to the dining hall.
Immediately Kiara and Mark entered the dining room, the other Angels could perceive it, they could perceive Mark’s scent all over Kiara. He had marked her. They exchanged knowing glances with Mark and they did not bring up the subject.
“My mate would be going back to her territory for a while today and I have to take her there,” Mark spoke.
They were still eating when he spoke. They looked at Kiara when Mark said that and one by one, they told her to come back soon. She smiled at each of them and told them she will.
“But how will you survive brother? Especially now that you have marked her.” Shawn spoke.
Kiara’s eyes widened and the Angels gasped. But they were not surprised, Shawn was the daring one among them and was not afraid of speaking. Maybe it was because he was the youngest of them all and they showered him with too much love.
Mark glared at Shawn for a long time and returned to his meal. Shawn looked unaffected, he wondered when teasing someone about their mating had become bad. They all made fun of Jeff when he marked Gwen, why was Mark an exception?
“I will survive.” Mark finally spoke.
“If you say so.” Shawn shrugged and went back to his meal too.
“How did you know he marked me,” Kiara asked.
Mark had not bitten her as a sign of marking and claiming and she had nothing to show that Mark had claimed her so she wondered how Shawn knew.
“You smell strong of him. Can’t you perceive it?” Shawn answered.
Kiara secretly started sniffing herself and Shawn laughed.
“You can not perceive it,” Mark told her softly.
They ate silently and when they were done, Gwen and the Angels escorted her to the door and hugged her goodbye. She and Mark went outside and she looked around, she would miss the place and its beauty. she looked around for a long time.
“We can still go back inside and forget about the werewolves you know,” Mark whispered in her ear.
She laughed.
“Let’s go,” she said back.
He swept her in his arms. She closed her eyes, she would definitely miss her safe haven, his arms. She would miss being there and it made her wish she wasn’t going. His wings unfolded behind him and he flapped them gently. In a short while, they were flying in the air back to the werewolf territory with Kiara in his arms.

Alexia arrived at the werewolf’s territory two days later when she heard that her daughter was back. She could not wait to meet with her, to hug her and look into her silver eyes. Alexia was extremely happy. But she would need to ask Kiara who took her, she would make sure to punish them severely. She arrived and she met Vincent at the entrance, he bowed when she came before him.
“Where is she?” She asked the man.
“In her room.” He replied.
She left him standing there and went inside the house, she was practically running to Kiara’s room. When she got there, she opened the door and went inside, she was there. Kiara was sitting on the bed, her back to the room when Alexia walked into the room. Alexia walked to where she sat and pulled her in for a tight hug. She did not hug Alexia back, she just sat there.
“You are back,” Alexia spoke when they disengaged from the hug.
Her silver eyes glittered with tears when Kiara looked at them, she was crying. Kiara thought her a pretender too.
“I am,” Kiara replied.
Alexia took a closer look at her daughter. She had to make sure she was not hurt. She was not. Alexia took Kiara’s hands into hers.
“Tell me, who took you away from me?” Alexia asked.
Kiara did not talk for a while. She looked into her mother’s face, looking for the perfect answer. She found it.
“Tell me, Kia,” Alexia asked again when Kiara did not talk.
Kia? Kiara knotted her brows wondering when her mother had started pet names. She had never.
“My mate,” Kiara replied.
Alexia was dumbstruck. She did not talk, she was surprised the girl had a mate, she was not eighteen yet. She shifted Kiara’s neck left and right, looking for a mark.
