“It’s nothing, Hertha. Nothing is wrong.” She reached back to the wolf, trying to coax her but the wolf would not have it.
Alexia decided to go for a run in the woods, just to calm Hertha. She took a cloak and dagger and left. She reached the entrance of the woods and kept her cloak on the ground, then, she took her dagger with her and transformed. Hertha leapt away into the woods and started running. She didn’t know where she was going but her restlessness was taking her and she was running through the woods.
When she finally stopped, she looked around her. She didn’t know where she was but she was in the woods. She ran a hand over her face and shut her eyes, hoping it was a dream. But when she opened her eyes again, instead of waking on her bed, in her room, she opened her eyes in the woods again. Still unsure of where she was.
She transformed back and rose from the ground. She heard the dried leaves behind her make noises and she swiftly turned around, her heart was beating rapidly. She grabbed her dagger and pulled it out. Suddenly, a Lycan burst out of the trees, it was Lucian but Alexia didn’t know.
Alexia screamed and ran, the Lycan ran after her. She didn’t know where she was running to but she ran and didn’t see the stone she struck her foot on and she fell to the ground. She looked back and the Lycan had already caught up with her, running will be useless at that point. Its red eyes were keenly on her and it growled at her.
Her heart was beating rapidly, she was panting and her chest ached from the running. She wanted to cry but she could not, she thought about her daughter. Kiara was too young to take over the packs.
She didn’t want to die.
When the Lycan was close enough to her, Alexia closed her eyes in resignation to her fate. She expected to feel a sharp deep pain in any part of her body but nothing came. She thought the Lycan was taking its time, she kept her eyes closed and after a long time of waiting without a scratch, she opened her eyes and she gasped at the sight that met her.
Instead of charging Lycan, she saw that Lucian was lying on the ground unconscious and naked. She looked at him for a while, wondering why the mad attacked her.
But she was glad he didn’t attack.
She reached out and touched his neck, feeling his temperature. He was cold. The cold wind in the woods had already turned him cold. She had to do something. She stood up from her spot on the ground and looked around. She didn’t know where she was, Hertha was the one who ran this deep and she reached out to her wolf. Hertha told her to let her out, she didn’t know the place too but she would help Alexia transform and Hertha kicked off running.
Hertha finally found her way out of the woods and took the cloak she kept at the entrance of the woods and ran back into the woods. She wasn’t going to carry a naked man into her territory.
*** LUCIAN’S POV ***
His angry and starved demon overpowered him and he could only see it as an angry demon. An angry Lycan. He jumped out of his window and ran into the woods, his Lycan going faster than usual. He was behaving like a mad Lycan, he was mad. He destroyed trees and when he falls heavily on the ground, it parts.
He was still in the woods when he perceived her. Just her rose petals scent was already calming his Lycan down. Her scent was getting heavier in his nose Lycans nose and he knew that she was somewhere around, coming to him.
He wanted to look for her, to tear the woods apart and find her and when he does hold her in his arms and kiss her. Her scent filled the air now powerfully and he could see her.
She was standing there, holding a dagger and he rushed out to hold her, to hug her and keep her close. But when he came out and she saw him, she screamed and started running. He knew why, and he was hurt. But he ran after her, he was not going to lose her. His Lycan was beginning to really cool down at the sight of her.
She tripped over a stone and fell, he wanted to tell her to stop running, he would never hurt her and what came out was a loud growl at her instead of calming her down, he could see the fear in her eyes increase and she closed them. He went closer to her and his Lycan finally let him go and he loosed consciousness.

He opened his eyes and it fell on her. She sat on a chair in a corner of the room and had a book in her hands, she was reading it. She was wearing a black cotton flowing gown and her hair was tied up in a bun. The early morning sun ray was on the side of her face and the whiteness of the book in her hands shone on her face. She was looking extremely beautiful. He smiled and himself and faked a cough, drawing her attention.
She kept the book aside quickly and rose from the chair to his side over at the bed. She looked down at him and he couldn’t help but notice that her silver eyes were sparkling.
“How are you feeling today.” Her soft voice sounded soft and smooth and beautiful. He felt sore all over his body and his throat felt dry and painful. He brought up his hand to his mouth and made a motion of drinking water. She understood and called an omega to bring the water. When the water finally arrived, he gulped down three cups of it and laid back on the soft, large bed. He looked around and found out that, the room wasn’t the usual room he was always offered. He looked at the door and instantly knew It was her room. He smiled inwardly.
