Lucian left the clan again after telling his father that he was going away from the clan. He told him that was just going to roam and the king told him to be safe out there. He was going to the werewolf’s territory again. He wanted to take the bull by the horn. He was going to tell Alexia of their mating bond and if she rejects him, he will come back and accept his doom.
He left the clan and was running to the werewolf’s territory in his Lycan form when he noticed that someone was following him. He stopped running to the werewolf’s territory and started going around in circles with the person. They weren’t running with him but he could feel the presence. A strong presence. He found it ridiculous and annoying how his father would send spies to watch him. Maybe the king didn’t believe him when he told him that he had no mate.
He was still running around in circles when he realized that the presence wasn’t a Lycan. It wasn’t a werewolf. It wasn’t a witch or warlock. He sniffed in the air and he knew who that was. A vampire. And the only vampire who could follow him was Zendaya. He raised his head up and looked around, eventually, he caught her. She was sitting on a tree, staring back at him and her eyes went guilty when he found her out. He was throwing daggers at her with his eyes. If only looks could kill then his was enough to crush her to death.
ZENDAYA’S POV
She heard him when he told his father that he was leaving the clan for a while. To roam around he said but she knew it was a lie. He was going to see his mate. It infuriated her but she made up her mind to follow him this time. She wanted to know who his mate was. She wanted to see if his mate was more beautiful than she was. She wanted to see if his mate was worthy of the negligence she was receiving.
He left early in the morning and she didn’t sleep much as well. His room was not far from hers and she heard him unlock his door. She waited for a while for him to go a distance and she went out too. She came out and could not see him, he was running so fast. She climbed a tree and her sharp vampire eyes caught him and she started jumping after him. She was a powerful vampire and her jumps were matching his speed.
He started running around in circles and she was confused. Wasn’t he going to his mate anymore? He finally stopped running and suddenly looked up at her. She wasn’t surprised that he had found her out. Lycans had a great sense of detection.

She jumped down and landed on the ground, expertly. She looked away from him.
“I’m sorry, I thought you were going to that mistress of yours.”
He growled at her and went back to his human form.
“She is not a mistress! She is my mate.” He growled at her annoyingly.
With that, he went back to his Lycan form and ran passed her. She climbed a tree and started jumping after him.
Back to the Lycan clan.
*** LUCIAN’S POV ***
Lucian got to the Lycan clan and he was shaking with rage. The vampire was beginning to annoy him and he hated her. He barged into the palace and went straight to his room. He began to pace to and fro and his Lycan was fighting to take control.
He would not allow it, if his Lycan takes over then, it would mean he will go berserk and destroy everything in sight and it will be disastrous.
He held his hair with both hands and pulled it, he was fighting to stay in control of his body and his Lycan was fighting harder. He could feel the pain of their fight and he was groaning loudly.
His Lycan finally succeeded. It started with his claws, they grew longer and sharper. His body hair stood out and his fangs came out longer. His deep black eyes went red with rage and his body finally transformed into a full Lycan. He howled loudly.
He felt stronger than he has ever felt. Someone opened the door and shrieked, he looked at her and the person looked small to him and annoying, he took the person by her waist and flung her behind him. He opened the window and jumped out, smashing and destroying everything in his way.
The Lycans ran helter-skelter in confusion and their screams echoed in the whole clan. He was running into the woods, destroying everything in sight. Everything looked small in his Lycan’s eyes and he could not help but crush them.
He ran into the woods and disappeared.
*** ZENDAYA’S POV ***
She knew she had made Lucian upset and she also knew that it wasn’t good for her if he was angry at her, higher chances were that he will go running into the arms of that mate of his if he was angry at her. She followed him back to the palace with him running and her jumping on trees and roofs and high platforms. When they finally arrived, he angrily went to his room.
She stood at his door, waiting for him to calm down a bit before she goes inside. She was still standing and waiting when she heard a loud groan from his room like he was in some sort of pain. She knocked on the door a couple of times and when he didn’t open nor respond, she went inside. The sight that she met inside his room, terrified her. She unconsciously gave out a loud shriek and his eyes fell on her.
He was standing in his full Lycan form on his hind legs. His Lycan was big, extremely big and tall and black, a deep shade of black and his fangs were too long. His claws were extremely sharp. His eyes horrified her the most. They were no longer beautiful and mean-looking black eyes she knew and was dreamy about. They were red. A bright shade of red and he looked like a demon with a black body and red eyes.
