CHAPTER 11

Book:THE REBIRTH LUNA: Her Oppression Published:2024-6-2

She couldn’t go back to sleep. She felt in danger and sleep refused to come. Even after counting sheep, she still couldn’t sleep. She rose early in the morning to the woods to go for a run. She took a poisoned arrow with her. Just to be safe. After transforming, Hertha started running.
Enjoying the rush and the gushing of wind on her face. She was still running when she felt a presence following her. She knew who it was. Edward. She made a halt and transformed, reaching for her arrow.
The poison on it was dangerous, a tip of it in his body and he will be dead before she would. She stood where she was, waiting for any suspicious movement. It never came.
“It’s just me Alexia.” His deep voice sounded behind her. She turned around swiftly, with the arrow in her hand, pointing at him. She will take no chances. A leap from him towards her was all it will take for the arrow to be buried deep into his flesh.
“What is it you want?” She tried to sound fearless but it came out shaky. Her heart beat rapidly fast. She held onto the arrow tighter. He took a step back and raised his hands in the air, a sign that he wasn’t a threat and he had no weapons.
“Put the arrow away Alexia. I only want to talk to you.” His deep voice sounded believable. She slowly lowered the arrow and kept it away in her dress pocket, her hand never leaving it. When he saw that she had kept the weapon away, he took a step closer to her and in an instant, the arrow was in her hand again, pointing at him. She told him to stay back. Not to move an inch. And he didn’t. He stood as he stood before, his hands in the air. Good. She asked him what kind of talk he wanted and he told her it was a private matter. Anyone could be in the woods and he wasn’t going to speak in there. She ran her eyes over him for a moment and agreed after much hesitation.
Together, they headed back to the pack and into her house. He asked to be offered a room and she did. It didn’t mean she trusted him now, he was still dangerous, she only wanted to hear what he had to say. She called on an omega girl to show him to a room but he declined, he wanted her to go with him. She hesitated, with so much suspicion in her. But her curiosity got the better of her and she went with him to offer him a room. They got to the room, she entered first he followed, locking the door behind him. She asked him his reasons for showing up in her territory and he told her. He needed a favour.
MIKEL’S P. O. V
Immediately he and his brother and the Luna and everyone who came with them arrived in the Eastern territory, he took off running back to the southern territory. No suspicions about where he was going to rose in the Eastern pack, he was known for his recklessness. He was going back because he needed to see her. Her silver eyes that looked like his drew him closer to her. He wanted to see those eyes again. This was the first time he felt that kind of way.
He raced back to the southern territory for two days and arrived in the southern woods. He was walking towards the entrance when he saw her come in. She didn’t see him. She was running and he followed her in a distance. She must have noticed him because she made an abrupt halt and turned around. He ran the other way. He didn’t want to be seen as creepy. He just wanted to see her. He ran as fast as he could, transformed and stood behind her. She looked scared like she was afraid of something. Maybe his presence had scared her. But for a crafty Alpha female, she looked way too vulnerable and scared. He smiled and decided to end her fear.
“It’s just me Alexia.” She turned swiftly to him. She was startled. An arrow in her hand, pointing at him. She wasn’t so vulnerable after all, but she was still scared even with the weapon in her hands. She asked him what he wanted and he could hear how shaky her voice was. He wondered if it was just his creepiness that made her so scared. He decided to ease her fear by rising his hands up in the air. He then asked her to put the arrow away. He only needed to talk. She did. But a step closer to her and the arrow was pointing at him again. They managed a discussion and he ended up in her house. In a room, alone with her.
She didn’t know how badly he wanted to reach out and grab her. To kiss her and tell her how much his body had changed since the first day they met in the woods. He wanted to tell her all he was feeling. But he couldn’t. Her fierce and stern side had come back and she asked him what he wanted.
______________________
She looked extremely surprised when he told her what brought him there. She looked into his eyes for a minute, Her face full of shock and disbelief. She asked him if he was joking and he firmly told her absolutely not. He told her that he was only confiding in her so she wouldn’t be caught by surprise. She shut her eyes and shook her head for a minute and opened them again. She was extremely surprised. But she finally spoke to him and told him she was in support of him. He thanked her.
He spent the night at her house that day. As she returned to the comfort of her room, she began to gather her thoughts. She was convinced now that the white wolf was a great threat to her ambition. He told her that he was going to kill Anthony and Luna. He was Anthony’s brother and was interested in being the next Alpha, but he had never thought of killing his brother until he was inspired by her move to kill her husband and take over the southern pack. His confession made it clear to her that he was dangerous. What would he do next? Kill her? She would not allow it.
