West pack was taken. Anthony was dead, and so was his mate. The southern pack had expanded to the west pack. The West wolves had started paying for their tasks. Everything was wonderful.
As soon as the southern messenger left, Alexia sent a messenger to the Eastern pack. She needed them now. She dreaded the arrival of the silver-eyed man.
Mikel. He looked like a threat to her goal. The resemblance of his wolf to Hertha was a mystery she had to uncover. All her life, she had believed she was the only white wolf in all four packs. He was certainly a threat.
Her messenger came back after three days. She will take over the southern pack in four days to come.
Six days from the day her messenger came back from the Eastern pack, a messenger from the southern pack arrived. Richard was dead. He was found dead the in his room, in his own pool of blood.
She looked flabbergasted.
She staggered and Zoe was quick to hold her. She told the messenger to go ahead, she will be on her way soon. She kept Zoe in charge and headed for the southern pack the next day.
She arrived at the southern pack and there was mourning. She growled, cried and wailed. She refused to be comforted. The west pack Betas arrived to pay their last respects to their Alpha and also pledge loyalty to an incoming Alpha female.
Alexia declared seven days of mourning for the deceased southern pack ruler. The southern pack mourned Richard for seven days. Alexia was declared ruler of the southern, northern and west packs two days after the mourning period was over. Richard had no heir to take responsibility and he was married to her. She only could rule the pack.
The night of the declaration. A great feast was held in her honour at the southern pack. The Betas and Gammas of the three packs were there. They had no objections whatsoever to being ruled by the Alpha female, they wanted peace.
After the feast was over, she went to her room. Sitting on the bed, her thoughts began to wander, she had to do something about the Eastern pack. She wanted to take over everything. She wanted power. Next will be the white wolf. With him gone, the Eastern pack had only the Alpha and the childless Luna.
They will be a piece of cake. Talking of this, they sent a messenger to announce their arrival the next day. She was sure the white wolf was coming too. How she hated him. He reminded her of the omega girl who was Damian’s mate. They were both cut from the same cloth. Both had an innocent, harmless look.
A dangerous breed they were. She will do to him what she did to the Omega girl. He will suffer the same fate.
She didn’t know when she dozed off but she woke up the next morning. She freshened up and prepared for the arrival of the Eastern pack. She wore a flowing black cotton gown, a white fur cloak on it and simple jewellery going with it.
She came out of her room to meet a busy house, the omegas busy with work, preparing a feast for the arrival of the Eastern pack Alpha and Luna. Hudson and Bernice arrived at noon.
Alexia welcomed them to the pack warmly and showed them to their various rooms. Of course, the silver-eyed man came with them. She ignored him completely, focusing on Hudson and Bernice.
That night, a feast was held again. The Eastern pack came to congratulate the new Alpha female. She was indeed a strong one. She thanked them. All the while, the silver-eyed man had his eyes on her. It was beginning to infuriate her. No, it was scaring her. Hayley was a watcher too before she struck. Alexia had to be careful with the man. Mikel.
The Eastern rulers left the next day. So did the west pack subjects. Alexia appointed a west Beta to oversee the affairs of the west pack. Reporting every development to her. Ryan. His name was Ryan. He looked trustworthy and he was easy to get rid of if he ever became a threat. Zoe left too.
Alexia told Zoe that she had to stay in the southern territory, it was the largest and needed her attention. Zoe was to begin reporting every development to her too.
Alexia declared the next night a hunting night. And the next night, the southern pack went hunting. Women were not left out as they joined the male werewolves in the woods, hunting. She was surprised by the strength of the southern pack women, though they claimed not to have hunted before, which she doubted.
They displayed so many skills for amateurs. She was glad. Impressed was the word. She wanted a strong pack. Soon, she will send some southern Gammas over to her beloved northern territory to teach the men some skills. Damian was leading a weak pack. She will not. The hunt ended at dawn.

Hertha wanted to go for a run. To enjoy the gushing wind on her face. The southern woods were good for a run. Better than the northern woods. That night, she stood at the entrance of the southern woods and released Hertha.
The moment she came out, she leapt into the woods, running. She ran and ran. She got to the middle of the woods when she realized someone was following her. She felt the presence but she kept running.
The presence stopped following her when it noticed that she had found it out. A sneaky little thing. She thought to herself. She turned around and started running back. It was too dangerous. She fastened her pace as she ran. When she was almost at the entrance of the woods, a wolf stormed in front of her.
A snow-white wolf with sharp silver eyes. It didn’t have the shock it had the last time they met. Edward. He growled at her. He looked a lot more fierce now. Fiercer than she looked.
“Leave my way.” Her voice sounded with authority. It was a command. He growled at her again. She began to panic. And when she didn’t expect it, he pounced on her.
Tackling her to the ground. His claws scratched her face and his fangs were deep inside her throat. She scratched too. Thrashing vigorously under him.
She was trying to free herself. But he was stronger. He held her down tight. He possessed great strength.
She tried to howl and alert the southern Gammas but it went down her throat, his fangs not allowing any airflow. She was losing blood and she became short of breath.
Hertha transformed and Alexia came. He raised a leg high and smashed her face. The final blow.

Her eyes flung open. Sweat was so much, it soaked into the bed. One would think she wetted it. Her heart was beating at a faster pace. She stood up from the bed and walked to the window and opened it.
The wind gushed in, cooling her and drying her sweaty body. Great. He was starting to attack her dreams now. She didn’t need to ask who he was anymore. He was an enemy and she was going to eliminate him.
