Deimos, My Salvation – Part V

Book:DEIMOS (Alpha of Alphas) Published:2024-6-2

Phobos lifts Kal tenderly from her hands, the electrifying meeting of fingertips has Theia gasping raising her yearning eyes to meet Phobos’s.
“Deimos, I had forgotten about the soup!” I yell faintly in fake anxiety swiftly tugging on his hand marching towards the buzzing pack table.
“Soup? What soup? We do not have any soup, Lumina.” Deimos whispers with a profound frown struck with deep confusion tripping in his steps whilst I lure him farther away from them. “What are you on about?”
I halt by the table setting him free to simply observe Kal bawling his eyes out with discomfort in Phobos’s limbs as Theia giggles explaining to her male how to hold the pup whilst comforting his distress. Such a bittersweet sight to witness.
The handing over of a pup to a mate can be further intimate than anything else, it shall create a passionate need. A need to possess one of their own. If they spend further time alone with the pup it adds fuel to the burning need.
“What are you doing, my female?” Deimos questions with mischief as he delivers a sharp playful nip to my earlobe as I chuckle and shove him away.
“Creating opportunities.” I beam up at him with my broad innocent smile whilst his eyes narrow at me in reprimanding. “I know I shouldn’t interfere but Theia requires it, so just for today permit me this.”
My male exhales intensely unable to not pay heed to my wishes. “Just for today.” He smirks down at me in understanding as I place my palm upon his cheek drawing his mouth to mine to gift him with a delicate kiss of thanks. A click of a camera has us snap our eyes open and stare at the other in surprise.
“If you could redo that scene, it would be great.” Ragon grins peering at us with naughtiness.
“Ragon.” Deimos chuckles with a shake of his head at his unruly beta.
“How about we get the family together for a family picture?” He questions with excitement as I beam at his idea. Absolutely.
“Of course, it is highly necessary. Send me a copy, Ragon.” Cronus barges in with a meal plate in hand whilst attempting to speak clearly for his cheeks are bloated mouth filled with food resembling a chipmunk.
“Very well, come along then. Let us stand by the waterfall.” Deimos agrees whilst steering us towards the flowing waterfall. Phobos saunters forward to hands over our male back to Deimos whilst Theia pursues closely behind looking for a place to occupy.
“Theia! Come stand by my right.” I call out to her as she smiles broadly in acceptance hurrying towards me with rapid steps. Phobos chooses to stand at Deimos’s left but my male halts his brother’s actions proceeding with my wishes to create opportunities.
“That is Cronus’s place. Go stand by Theia.” He states pushing his brother away as Cronus secures his spot.
Vibrant blues meet Deimos’s in surprise as we patiently wait for Phobos to stand by Theia’s right and he does so with no opposition listening to his younger brother. Theia gulps firmly by my side clutching her hands tightly together to hide the tremble it possesses.

“Ready?” Ragon questions positioning the camera at a good angle in front of the six of us. Deimos grips me by my hips drawing me to his flesh whilst carrying Kal in his other arm, a wide joyful smile paints his face. “One. Two-”
I peek mischievously towards Theia and quietly shove her away from me with my leg as she stumbles and loses balance with a short scream leaving her lips only to fall into the waiting arms of Phobos.
“Three.” Ragon clicks the picture. The sound and the blinding flash of the camera was engraved by me in the depths of my mind. A picture I shall surely treasure for the rest of my life. It was a beautiful day one that shook my core from within for I had never felt such immense happiness in my life. I had everyone I loved right there with me, I had a real family.
As I peer up at the memory littered wall by the stairs of the castle, I focus on the family picture we took on Kal’s birthday that Deimos had framed among several others which Ragon had captured from the first day I had arrived here as his Luna.
Radiant cheerful smiles from Deimos, Cronus, Kal and me shine the brightest but what stands out is the burning passion of two new mates. Theia clutching onto Phobos’s chest for dear life after I had kicked her whilst her eyes are raised with an immense surprise meeting his orbs that seem to tenderly peer down at her whilst his arm is fastened around her waist protectively. I chuckle remembering that day, for I had received an earful from my male afterwards for my actions.
The turbulent excited screams of my pup beckon me whilst I turn around to discover Deimos chasing Kal around the castle’s floor. Our pup runs as fast as his miniature legs take him whilst his father gnarls from deep within his chest pursuing him playfully as a predator.
My eyes peer up to skim the contents of the castle from its high ceilings, its empty stairs to its saturated walls that were once void. Every deep-rooted memory of mine soars forward as floating scenes for me to witness. As snapshots for me to drown in. This place that once seemed so cold, bitter and dark like a prison to me is now a haven overflowing with warmth for my soul. It is my home.
My life was truly not smooth yet I have finally attained it, my end. My happiness and peace.
Kal runs into a hallway trying to escape the troublesome claws of his father whilst Deimos halts beneath the bright chandelier, his mouth opens wide to set his deep booming laughter free to his male’s antics. My male peeks up at me to offer me a smile of tenderness. Our wolves sit peacefully behind barriers meeting the other amid our electrifying bond.
A bond we forged with blood, sweat and tears to conceive through years of trials and tribulations. A bond that possesses a stronger power than the one gifted to mates by the moon.
“I love you.” He mouths to me, glorious emeralds glowing brighter than the stars birthed by the vast night sky.
“I love you,” I whisper back to him, my heart clenched with the inability to store the intensity of my overflowing emotions.
Nothing of our past needs to be retained in my soul except for one element.
Deimos was, is and shall always be my salvation.
