Damon’s p. o. v
Not everyone deserved happiness, that’s what I had always told myself.
I always knew I was the unlucky blind bastard who was hated by his pack members.
Ever since my twin sister Leah and I were born. We were hated by our father just because our mother died while giving birth to us. He always reminded us of how he lost the love of his life to trash like us.
Then before our father became the alpha of our pack, he was the beta.
In front of everyone he pretended to treat us kindly, but once we were all alone with him, he made sure to torment us with his hurtful words.
Our father never had time for us because he thought of us as weak. The only one who took it upon herself to take care of us was an elderly Omega.
The omega raised us as she would her children and loved us. When our father discovered that Leah was an Omega and I a delta, he hated us even more than before. He was expecting me to be a beta like he was and Leah a delta.
This came as a huge blow to his ego but he chose to keep it hidden from everyone.
But then the alpha of our pack died and his daughter took over. That’s when everything changed.
The omegas began to be treated as dirt, trash, breeders, and slaves. The high ups also began doing as they pleased and our female alpha just watched all of it happen.
My father offered to step up as alpha and surprisingly our female alpha agreed without a fight.
Father made sure to put rules on how omegas should be mistreated and taken as. Our true alpha as expected turned a blind eye to our pack once again and pretended not to see what was going on.
For years omegas went through mistreatment by our pack members. They were beaten up, molested, and insulted. On rare occasions tortured.
I was tagged as an Omega as well because whenever they wanted to hit my sister I stood to protect her.
Amongst those who picked on us, my father was the worst. He always mistreated us more than any omega was mistreated in our pack. We started calling him a monster because of the fear we felt and had towards him. I did all I could to keep Leah safe, but I knew it wasn’t enough, since I was blind. All could do was hope, hope for a day her mate would find her and take her away.
But I guess I placed my hopes so high that I was wrong. Because the guy didn’t want her.
When I met my mate in the forest, I was training and so trying to pass time away from the pack. I wasn’t sure if she really was my mate then because my wolf seemed to be against her.
He wanted nothing to do with her and he seemed very angry.
After I was dragged back to the pack and hit by my father, I lay down on the cold ground thinking about how my mate looked like. My wolf was so confused but as days went on, he began wanting to be by her side.
I needed to find a way to run away from our pack and search for her, so I did.
I met her again and she was so sweet but then everything turned bad.
We run away from their place and we were now going back to our hell hall pack.
I couldn’t turn rogue, even if I wanted to. My sister Leah was a sweet girl. She deserved to have a family that could take good care of her.
Our only option left was to go back to the hell that we came from even if it meant our death.
I squeezed Leah’s hand who was sobbing quietly.
“He didn’t want me.” She whispered under her breath.
“I heard,” I answered sadly.
“He told me to leave and called me a kid.” She cried.
“Leah, please calm down.” I whispered
“How can I calm down brother when my mate hates me. He didn’t even care enough when I begged him to accept me.” She sobbed.
“I’m sure he will come around sooner or later.” I answered softly when deep down I knew that it was a slim chance that, that could happen.
