Emily’s p. o. v
A few years had gone by and everything was going perfectly in our lives.
My little Czar was a handsome grown boy who was already attending preschool. As for me, I was pregnant with my second child and so happy over it. Jason was way happier than us all and Cole understood the feeling well. He too was happy and looking forward to welcoming another pup in our pack.
“Is the soup being prepared ready yet?” I asked Rhoyda who was standing in front of the stove stirring the pot.
“Just a few more minutes and it’s done.” She answered as I smiled
“You know, you don’t have to push yourself very much.” I whispered
Unlike me who was a month pregnant, she was due to deliver next month
“That’s why I told her to leave everything to me.” Beca answered when she walked into the kitchen with her baby girl in her arms.
“Waty Lily.” The little angel said happily when she looked at me.
“Honey it aunty Emily.” Beca whispered to the girl with a smile.
“It’s okay Beca, she’s only a year old. She will learn with time.” I answered.
“Am I late?” Mia’s voice came through outside the kitchen room.
I quickly stood up when she walked in.
“Mia you are here.” I said loudly then went to her and hugged her.
“It’s Thanksgiving Emily, I can’t miss it for anything.” She whispered while she pulled back and went to Beca leaning in to kiss her cheek.
“Beca how are you and the little one?” She asked softly.
“We are okay, although this little one isn’t that good with words.” Beca answered.
“I totally understand. My little boys took long to talk properly as well.” Mia said.
“Speaking of them where are they?” Rhoyda asked.
“With both their Dads in the living room. They were looking forward to meeting Cole and Jason, you know how they act when they meet their favorite uncles.” She answered with a smile.
I was about to answer when Ken walked into the room.
“Luna, Ms Benedict, and your mother have arrived.” He announced.
I quickly stood up and ran outside the room.
I couldn’t contain the joy I was feeling.
My mother and Teresa usually came to see Czar, but still, I missed them a lot, and seeing them again made me so happy.
I rushed into the living room where their voices were coming from.
“Mother,” I called happily.
She turned and looked at me with a smile.
“Happy thanksgiving sweetheart.”
She said as I quickly moved and embraced her.
“You to mum.” I whispered then pulled back and hugged Ms Benedict.
“Welcome again.” I said softly.
“Thank you.” She whispered then pulled back.
“You look well,” Brandon said.
He was standing next to Landon who was sitting on the couch with his twin sons.
“You too,” I answered with laughter then hugged him and pulled back.
I knelt in front of Landon and extended my hands to the shy twins.
“Come on,” I whispered.
They slowly stood up and went in my arms.
“Why are they looking sad?” I asked.
“Cole and Jason went out and forbid them from following.” Landon answered.
“I see, hey you two they will be here in a second.” I whispered to the boys then stood up.
“This is really nice of you to bring.” Cole said loudly when he walked in with a big bottle of wine.
Jason was right behind him.
“Today is Thanksgiving, why shouldn’t I bring that?” Brandon answered as mother gave him a glare.
“Don’t kill the name thanksgiving.” She whispered as everyone laughed softly.
“Where is my grandson?” She asked seriously.
“Here,” Cobi answered then walked in with Czar in his arms.
“Grandma,” Czar screamed happily.
Cobi put him down as Czar wasted no time in running into her arms.
“I missed you, big boy.” Mother whispered happily.
The table was already set by Beca, Rhoyda and me. The only thing left to add at the table was soup, but for some reason, it was taking longer for it to be ready.
“Hello.” Rhoyda greeted when she walked in and went on to hug everyone.
Beca followed and happily went to greet my mother then the twins.
“Everything is ready, shall we proceed to move to the dining hall?” Mia said when she walked in.
“Thank you,” I answered.
I went to Cole and Jason and grabbed each of their hand.
“Shall we?” I asked with a wide smile.
They looked at each other and nodded.
“Then let’s all go, we have a long day of drinking and chatting. No one will go home today, I made some preparations for each room you will be in.” I said as I walked to the dining hall.
“You will drink alright, just not alcohol.” Jason answered then pulled out a chair for me.
“Thank you, sweetheart.” I whispered and sat down.
He sat on my left while Cole put the wine on the table and went to pull out a chair for Ms Benedict and my mother. They smiled at him and sat down, Czar was still in my mother’s arms happily
Cole moved and sat on my right. q
I couldn’t stop smiling as everyone took their seats. Ken was looking at Rhoyda in concern to be sure if she was okay. Rhoyda whispered something in his ear that made him chuckle softly.
“Are you okay?” Cole and Jason asked together.
I glanced at them for a second then nodded.
I was very happy and a little emotional over having my whole family in one place.
“It’s just that, I’m so happy to have the whole family present for thanksgiving. It feels so unreal.” I said loudly as they all stopped what they were doing and looked at me.
“Thank you, very much. To you my two alphas and mate who have loved me unconditionally.” I whispered as tears filled my eyes.
“And to Ms Benedict who has always treated me and my mother as family from the very beginning. To you Mia and the twins who welcomed us in your pack with open arms and treated us like your siblings. To Rhoyda and Ken who are not only my sister and brother-in-law but my close friends. You took care of me even before I was mated to Cole. I also want to say thank you to Beca and Cobi who had my back in that other pack.” I said then swallowed hard.
“And to you the woman who raised and took care of me without any complaints or giving up, I say thank you for being an amazing woman and mother. If I had a bottle of champagne next to me I would have popped it open just to toast to you.” I said honestly.
“Emily, see how you are making everyone emotional.” Brandon said loudly as he stood up and grabbed the wine bottle which was on the table.
“It might not be champagne, but I’ll toast to us all.” He said loudly as everyone laughed.
Both Jason and Cole’s hands were on my back comforting me while I laughed with everyone.
I was truly lucky to have such a beautiful family and for meeting the twins in my life who made my life whole and complete.
