“Cobi,” I called calmly in the dungeon.
“Yes, Alpha.” He answered in a respectful tone.
His gaze was fixed on the floor and his hands clenched together.
“Did I by any chance tell you to take care of Jason?. Did I not order you to stand down?” I asked with a cold glare.
“You did Alpha.” He answered.
“Then why did you hit him unconscious when I was handling him just fine?” I asked.
“I… I hated the disrespect he was showing towards you.” He answered as I sighed low.
I understood what he meant, but orders were orders, they were meant to be followed.
“Let him off.” Ace whispered.
Ever since the Dr told us the news of Emily carrying our pup, Ace was in a very good mood and cared less about everything that went on in our pack.
“What’s up with you?” I asked him silently.
“What’s up with you not me. He’s our beta, he is bound to act like that to protect us.” He defended.
I sighed loudly then walked past Cobi and went to the open cell.
“Make sure Emily knows nothing about this bastard.” I said then walked in.
Jason sat on the ground tied up in silver chains, from his shoulders to his feet. His head was leaning against the cold wall and his breathing labored.
“Wake up Jason. You and I have a lot of things to talk about.” I whispered as I knelt in front of him.
“Cobi, before I forget. Prepare a huge dosage of wolfsbane and bring it to me. We can’t have him breaking free.” I ordered through our mind link then grabbed Jason’s hair roughly earning a loud groan from him.
He slowly opened his eyes and tried to move but hissed in pain when the chains burned his skin.
I let go of his hair and stood up with a chuckle.
“Finally you are awake,” I whispered then looked at him carefully.
His eyes were switching between his usual eye color and that of his wolf.
“There is no need to let your wolf take over because I’m way stronger than him and you.” I said with pride.
He tried to move again but stopped and groaned in pain when the chains burnt his skin again.
He glared at me then sighed loudly.
“So, is this your so-called revenge?” He asked mockingly.
I laughed softly then cleared my throat.
“What do you think?” I asked calmly.
I was going to make him pay, in a slow torturous way.
“I think it’s pretty childish of you to want revenge, Cole. And what are these chains suppose to do to me?. Make me regret my past actions so that I can beg for your forgiveness?” He spat then laughed loudly.
There he was. The asshole I waited to meet for so many years.
I slowly lifted my hand and tore my shirt into pieces as he watched with a raised brow.
“Do you know how long I have waited for your return?” I asked while I carefully wrapped the torn cloth around my hand.
“Years Jason, I waited for years.” I whispered then tied the piece around my hand.
“I was dying to meet you brother, a lot.” I whispered then went to the corner where another silver chain was placed.
“I wanted to properly thank you for what you did to me.” I continued as I leaned in and grabbed the chain in my hand.
“Because of you, I met a lot of nice people. To be specific, I formed a brotherhood bond with these two identical twin Alphas called Brandon and Landon.” I said then stood upright and faced him.
He had a shocked expression on his face.
“Will you look at that? You know them as well don’t you?. Well, that’s so nice to know.” I said with a chuckle.
“Those two brothers of mine trained and helped me out when I was at my lowest.” I whispered then took a few steps closer.
“Do you know one of the greatest lessons I learnt?” I asked seriously.
He frowned and bite his lower lip.
“1. Never show Mercy or pity, because they are weak emotions that make a strong person fall!” I said on top of my voice as I lifted the chain in mid-air and struck his shoulder.
He growled out in pain then moved.
“2. The smell of blood signifies victory!” I spat then struck him again.
He growled loudly as his eyes turned pure red, he moved and broke the chains from his body.
I smirked when he stood up.
Perfect. I wanted him upset and fired up so he could fight me straight on.
He moved at a quick pace and threw a pouch at me which I grabbed in mid-air, before he could pull his hand away I twisted it roughly. He turned with a loud growl and attempted to pull it away. I quickly lifted my leg and kicked his knee joint making him kneel. He was about to stand when I lifted my fist and punched the back of his head. A whimper escaped him as he fell to the ground face first.
I inhaled the scent of blood before I could even see it on him. I lifted my leg and pressed my foot on his neck.
“If I do add pressure on my foot dear brother. Your life ends in just a second.” I said loudly.
He was about to move his hand when I added pressure on his neck.
He instantly stopped.
“You don’t stand a chance against me, Jason, with or without your damn wolf. I am way stronger than you could ever be.” I said coldly then glanced at the entrance when Cobi walked in with a small bottle in his hand.
I removed my foot from his neck, leaned in, and grabbed him by the hair.
His growl was low and weak as I pulled him up and forced him to stand against the wall.
“I…. I..” He whispered then swallowed hard and closed his eyes for a second before opening them again.
“I would have killed you and cut you into pieces you son of a bitch. I regret not making sure that you were turned into ahh fuck! …..” He screamed when I punched his face breaking his nose.
He went to his knees and fell to the side.
“Give it to me,” I ordered Cobi who quickly opened the bottle and handed it to me.
I moved and knelt beside Jason grabbing his bloody jaw and forcing it open.
“Drink up.” I spat as I poured the wolfsbane in his mouth.
He quickly moved his hands to his throat and gagged loudly while whimpering.
I stood up with a smile, satisfied at the scene in front of me.
“He will soon pass out. He won’t regain consciousness till tomorrow afternoon. Put him in chains and Lock the cell door.” I ordered Cobi then walked out of the place before he could respond.
