Cole’s p. o. v
We ran towards the female Alphas’ pack in our wolf form.
Our decision was final, and that was to attack the pack and kill everyone in sight.
None of us had talked about the plan and we didn’t need one, because killing to us came naturally.
When we reached their border we slowed down our pace observing the environment.
It was quiet and no warrior was patrolling for some reason.
Landon shifted to his human form and knelt with one knee near a huge tree.
“I think they are busy doing their usual work and chores.” He said in a whisper.
It was a win for us. And that was even more reason to strike them now when they weren’t expecting us.
I growled loudly then rushed ahead before they could stop me.
Brandon was right behind me approaching.
The first she-wolf to see us quickly ran inside the pack house and soon after, a few warriors came outside rushing.
The pack warriors were seriously weak, how could they not detect us at the border?.
The warriors made way for a huge tall guy that approached us. From his Aura, I could tell that he was a beta and the four men behind him were Deltas.
“Whatever you are here for or whoever you want is not available. So I am asking you Alphas to turn back and get the hell out of our fucking pack. ” The man said arrogantly.
Before I could shift back in my human form and tell them to make me. Brandon jumped on the beta bitting his shoulder badly.
The deltas too jumped on Brandon. I was about to rush to his side but stopped when I was surrounded by the warriors.
One warrior let out a loud howl that sounded like a warning.
It was more of an alert to the other pack members over our ambush.
One warrior clawed my back while I sneered and snapped at the warrior in front of me.
“Pathetic.” I could hear Ace growl in my mind.
I knew that his words were directed at me, and so I did the only thing I could, and that was let him take over.
He growled furiously and charged at all the warriors. Tearing their flesh and sinking his teeth into their bodies, Most of the warriors were injured and on the ground but that couldn’t stop him, he went on killing as they fought back, they refused to back down and that made Ace very angry.
He jumped on one of the warriors who had turned into his human form to run away. The man was begging and crying out for mercy but Ace wasn’t having that. He bite down on his arm breaking the bone as the man cried out in pain. He was about to turn when Ace went for his throat-ripping it open.
After seeing the man’s body go limp, he backed away from him to look around. All that surrounded us were dead bodies.
Brandon stood in his human form completely covered in blood and breathing heavily.
Ace easily decided to give me back control after making sure there were no more threats around us left.
I turned back into my human form and noticed a few women from afar crying.
“Let’s finish them all.” I said as I took a step forward.
“No,” Brandon answered strongly surprising me.
“What?. Why?” I asked in disbelief.
“The children and women shouldn’t be harmed in any way. They are to be left unharmed.” He answered surprising me.
“Brandon, have you forgotten how we took down packs those days?” I asked seriously.
“I haven’t Cole, but that was in the past. Landon and I are no longer the same. We don’t take pleasure in killing the weak and vulnerable.” He answered shocking me.
“Are you serious?” I asked just to make sure that he wasn’t joking around.
“Very serious Cole, so let it go.” He answered.
I was about to respond when Landon approached us. He too was naked and covered in blood.
“Did you kill everyone?” He asked in concern.
I chuckled softly then sighed. Was he concerned about the weak as well?. How the hell did they change so much.
“No, we only killed the strong men of the pack. We had no business with weaklings.” Brandon answered as he breathed out in relief.
Fuck they were slowly becoming weak. They weren’t the twins I knew and looked up to anymore. They were different.
“You guys have grown soft.” I whispered before shifting into my wolf form.
“Whatever, let’s just hunt the female alphas down.” Brandon spat then shifted to his wolf form as well as Landon.
As we ran back to our pack the only thing that kept playing in my head were their words.
At first, they wanted me to tell my mate the truth about Jason and me. And now this. They ended sparing the women’s life.
Was their change of heart a good thing or was it bad?
I had no idea, but all I knew was that they were happy with their new change of character and it was all because of their mate. She really had a huge impact on them.
“Cole, we are near our packs border.” Brandon announced snapping me out of my thoughts.
He was standing in his human from ahead.
I looked ahead surprised over our quick arrival.
“You were so deep in thought that you didn’t notice how a lot of minutes had gone by.” Ace said.
I decided to keep quiet and focus on the way when we picked up a female alpha’s scent ahead.
Brandon quickly shifted in his wolf form and rushed towards the packs border with Landon as I followed behind.
The female alpha was right ahead running towards us. When she realized who we were, she slowed down her pace and turned to go back, but then she stopped when she spotted a Golden she-wolf.
Ace and I were stunned and in shock.
Yep, it was a fucking golden she-wolf ahead of us, it was beautiful and slightly bigger than all of us, its fur was tainted with blood and for some reason, it was emitting a very strong uncomfortable aura. My guess was that she was super pissed.
The female alpha quickly turned to us and charged at the twins.
The twins let their wolves take over.
Zane and Blake wasted no time in bitting and ripping the female alpha apart while I chose to watch.
