I looked at myself with a frown.
“Damn it,” I whispered under my breath.
I had no clothes with me and no clean change of underwear. Was I to call Cole over?.
No way, he had something urgent to attend to. At least that’s how it sounded.
“Wearing his clothes just for a day won’t kill you, Emily.” I whispered to myself then walked to the wardrobe and pulled out a long black T-shirt with a smile.
Most of his clothes were either black or a darker shade of color. I moved the shirt to my nose and inhaled deeply.
“Heavenly,” I murmured under my breath as a cold shiver spread around my body.
Cole’s scent was really exciting. it relaxed me completely and made me so happy. I slowly put it on as his scent engulfed me. The T-shirt reached my knees making it a perfect dress fit.
It wasn’t so bad, right? It was actually better than being naked.
I pulled open a drawer and took out a pair of boxers.
“Here goes nothing,” I whispered while I put them on.
“Done. A decent long T-shirt just like the size of a dress and some comfortable made-up undies.” I thought to myself playfully while brushing my hand through my hair.
“Thank God for his amazing tall height.” I said to myself cheerfully then walked out of the room and went downstairs slowly.
I tensed immediately my eyes landed on two hugely built men standing near the entrance talking to each other. When they glanced my way, they froze for a few minutes then lowered their gaze to the ground without another word.
I frowned not knowing what to do.
“You are their Luna, my mate. You don’t have to show fear or be intimidated by those that are below you. Always walk straight and show pride.”
Cole’s words rang in my mind. I took in a deep breath and released it, then walked past them with my head high.
I sighed in relief once I was outside.
“Scary,” I muttered under my breath then slowly began to walk around while observing the environment.
Unlike that other pack. This pack had a lot of trees around, and most houses weren’t near the packhouse but further away, A large building that looked like a storeroom was on my left side. And on my right was a beautiful fountain.
I walked to the fountain to take a clear look when I heard a few female voices on the other side.
I smiled happily and quickly went around.
A group of women stood there laughing. They all had their hair tied up. But what surprised me was how they were dressed.
One of them stood in only a short skirt, with her upper body bare. Her small breasts were left uncovered. The other two were covered in a see-through dress that showed each and every part of their body.
The last three were in lingerie that exposed the sides of their breast and ass as well.
“Were they prostitutes?. Or women of the night?” I asked myself silently.
The one with a short skirt looked my way then gasped loudly as the rest quickly turned and faced me.
“Oh my goddess do you want to die!” She exclaimed loudly.
“Die?” I asked with a cold glare.
Was she seriously looking down on me because I was human?.
“Oh no. Is she new to this pack?” Another asked softly with a sad expression.
The lady in a skirt quickly approached me as I stood my ground. I wasn’t going to act scared nor run away.
She stood in front of me then touched a strand of my hair with a low sigh.
“Honey the alpha shouldn’t see you with your hair let down and looking this scruffy.” She whispered softly.
“Oh…. is that why you said that a few seconds ago?” I asked in relief.
“Wait. Did you think I was threatening you?” She asked back with a chuckle.
“Kind of,” I answered honestly.
“Oh no. We need to fix this.” She said ignoring my words completely.
“Hey dear, can you please kneel down or squat. I want to do your hair.” She said softly surprising me.
I wanted to ask why, but I found myself complying.
“Can you ladies help me fix her clothes before Naomi comes?” She asked loudly.
I frowned deeply and looked at the T-shirt.
What was wrong with what I was wearing?.
“We can’t help or interfere. New girls Should learn things the hard way. Remember last time we tried helping that last girl?” One lady in a see-through dress asked seriously.
“Well, that was different to this. She was too stubborn to listen, but I’m sure this lovely lady won’t be stubborn.” She said softly then stepped back.
“There, it’s just a quick ponytail for now. Because we seriously have no time. Now, time to fix that T-shirt.” She said then moved closer.
She was about to touch me when I quickly stepped back.
“Excuse me, but what exactly are you trying to do to this T-shirt?” I asked seriously.
“Let me guess, it once belonged to our alpha right?” She asked lazily with a raised brow.
“Well.. it does,” I answered in embarrassment. Was it that obvious to who it belonged to?.
“I know. I can tell from the strong scent it has. Look human girl, this is the first time I’m seeing a human in this pack. But at the same time, we all know how our alpha is, he is always so kind to the women and has always chosen to protect them from all harm by giving them a place in this pack.” She said as I smiled happily. He really was a gentleman.
“Most of us die to be looked at by the alpha, and yes some few crazy women have attempted to steal his clothes, just to inhale his amazing manly scent.” She said as my smile faded.
I coldly looked at her in anger. What exactly was she trying to say to me?.
“I don’t know how you managed to get into his room without anyone seeing you, all I can say is that you have to either lose that T-shirt now or face a very tough time from Naomi and the men of this pack.” She said seriously confusing me.
“I’m sorry, but you seem to misunderstand me. I didn’t steal this or anything, moreover Cole wouldn’t mind seeing me in his T-shirt. I think he would love that.” I answered with a smile.
The lady’s expression turned pale while the others gave me mocking looks.
“I’m trying to help you here before Naomi comes!” She said on top of her voice in nearly a growl.
My heart instantly picked up, was she about to attack me?.
“What’s going on here?” A familiar voice asked from behind.
I quickly turned and came face to face with Naomi. She was staring at me with disgust as she stood in front. Her hair was beautifully braided on both sides and tied into a ponytail. Her see-through dress had two long slits on each side, exposing her long legs.
Her expression turned murderous when her eyes went on the T-shirt I was wearing.
“Where did you get that T-shirt?” She asked with emphasis.
So it’s true, many she-wolves were really dying to get their hands on my Cole together with his clothes. Ahh what a joke, I wasn’t going to let any of them even dare to look at what was rightfully mine.
“How does it concern you were I got this T-shirt?” I spat as loud gasps erupted.
Naomi widened her eyes in shock then chuckled softly.
“Oh I get, weren’t you that weak human girl our alpha was attending to yesterday out of pity?” She asked between laughter as the ladies behind me joined in.
So this was why they had refused to help me. They sided with Naomi.
If only they knew what kind of person they were facing. I was never the type to be easily fazed by some lame bullying.
“Yes, I am that human who was being attended to. But it wasn’t out of pity you dumb bitch. It was out of love and care because I am his fucking mate and luna.” I answered strongly as the laughter immediately died.
