I groaned Softly when she shifted her body against mine, her breasts were pressing on my chest intensely.
“Fuck.” I whispered Silently in my head as Vincent purred in encouragement.

I put my hand around her waist pulling her closer.

Emily quickly sat upright and looked at the door. I looked at her, silently pleading for mercy.

“Emily.” I called Softly to try and get her to look at me.

I was going to kill Rhoyda, not only did she ruin our moment. She made Emily feel uncomfortable.

“What the hell did I do?” She mind linked me back.
I walked out of my room and went to hers.
“Open the door.” I demanded.
I wasn’t going to walk into her room just like that despite being angry with her, she was still a lady and her privacy mattered a lot.
She opened the door and looked at me with a raised brow.
“What’s your damn problem?” I asked seriously.
“You are brother, can’t you at least give me a heads up to leave the house before getting down to whatever you were doing?” She asked.
“This is my house, when you know that my mate and I are on it isn’t it common sense to just leave the house for a few hours?. After all, it’s not my fault that you aren’t mated is it?” I asked coldly.
She glared at me then put her hand on her hip, an act she did whenever she was getting upset.
“I know it’s not your fault, okay, but you don’t have to be a jerk about it.” She answered with a scowl.
“How about you take a small tour around the town, you might end up finding your mate.” I said.
She sighed then dropped her hand.
“I don’t want to talk about it okay, if you….”
She stopped talking then frowned and looked downstairs.
Shortly a knock followed. I looked at her for a second then moved from her and went downstairs.
Emily came from the dining hall and walked to the door avoiding to look at me, she opened the door and smiled.
I looked at the man in front of her in shock.
“Ken.” I called Softly.
“Yes Alpha, it’s nice to see you again.” He answered with a wide smile.
I stood there not knowing what to do.
Although he was smiling, he looked somehow confused. His gaze shifted to the stairs where Rhoyda was standing a minute ago.
“Alpha, aren’t you going to invite me in?” He asked without looking at me.
“Sure, you can come in. But please refrain from calling me that name, the title was passed down to you remember?” I asked.
He walked in while still looking at the stairs.
“Emily please bring us something to drink. Ken come with me.” I said then walked with him to my office.
I sat behind my desk while he sat on the couch opposite me when we walked in.
“Alpha….”
“Jason not alpha.” I said cutting him short.
“I’m sorry if I sound disrespectful but I can’t call you anything else apart from Alpha.” He answered.
“Did you come all the way here to just annoy me?” I asked loudly.
“No, I came here because our pack is facing a lot of attacks from some Rogues and we need you.” He answered.
I swallowed hard then stood up and turned to face the window.
“And you think I care?” I asked.
“Alpha, deep down I know that you do. You wanted to be set free from the pack and start a new life, I let you do just that because I wanted you to realize on your own how our pack means needs you. I agreed to take over the pack but I never said that I was going to be the Alpha, I took over the pack as your right-hand man and that’s your Beta. I worked hard to rebuild it, you would love to see what it has now become. It’s a symbol of our Pride. Your people need you and your protection, please come back.” He said softly.
I took in a deep breath then released it.
“I need a few days to think about it.” I answered honestly.
“The pack might hold your worst fear and memories, but I also know that your parents would have wanted you to take over and lead the people. Don’t let their death and Cole’s death be in vain.” He whispered as I turned furiously and growled at him in a warning.
He beared his neck in submission then kept quiet.
“You don’t get to mention Cole’s name ever again.” I spat.
My eyes were filled with tears and my hands were trembling as I forced myself to see past the broken memories of my pack members being slaughtered and the look on my twin brothers face.
“Yes alpha.” He answered in a whisper.
“Calm down.” Vincent growled at me.
The door opened and Emily walked in with two cups of coffee.
Her scent instantly made me feel relaxed. I walked to her then pulled her in my arms not minding the fallen glass cups and spilled coffee.
I kissed her head and inhaled her scent deeply. She was about to pull back when I growled at her, she tensed and kept still.
She surprised me when she wrapped her arms around my waist.
“It’s okay, you don’t have to be upset now.” She whispered to me softly.
I slightly pulled back and crushed my lips on hers as she responded.
