“She’s a golden wolf,” Paul whispered under his breath.
If not for our sharp hearing we couldn’t have heard anything.
“What’s a golden wolf?” I asked loudly.
“But how is it possible that we have one in our pack, weren’t those extinct?” Charles asked ignoring my question.
“Do you want to lose your fucking head old man?” I asked in a loud growl getting both their attention.
“Alpha, you might want to sit down for this.” He said as I frowned.
Was it that serious?. No matter what, my wolf and I couldn’t calm down. We wanted to know what exactly she was.
“Fine,” I answered strongly then sat down as Blake growled in frustration.
“We are being too lenient on these old fools.” He said as I sighed.
“We sadly have no choice but to play nice. The two old men seem to know a lot more than many elderly Werewolves would know.” I answered silently.
He huffed then calmly backed away.
“So old men, I hate asking the same question. But I will because we want to know what our luna is.” I said then leaned against the chair.
“What is a golden wolf?” I asked again.
“Well, as we all know, all Alphas’ physical abilities are always heightened, they can perform any physical act without difficulty. And their mind is always in a state of total awareness and reaction.” Paul answered making me upset.
They weren’t answering me in any way, but educating us on the same fucking topic we all were aware of.
“Invulnerability is one of their best ability as well. Extremely dense body tissue renders any Alpha Werewolf indestructible, capable of withstanding high-caliber bullets, sharp objects, extreme forces, asphyxiation….”
“Enough old man. You really are trying to mess with us isn’t it?” I asked seriously while I slowly stood up.
“No alpha, what Charles was trying to say before you cut him off, was that a golden wolf possesses twice the abilities of any normal Alpha, but for it to fully harvest its full potential, it takes a very long time. Years to be precise.” Paul answered surprising me.
“And our luna is way too young to have her full abilities awakened.” He added on.
I took in a deep breath then released it.
“Let me get this straight, are you by any chance, telling us that Mia our mate is way stronger than the both of us?” I asked in disbelief.
“Correct, but that’s not all.” He said as I frowned deeply and sat down.
“What makes the golden wolf way different from all the Werewolves and a rare breed, is its ability to control all minds. And by all, I mean any form of supernatural being, human or fantasy creature/shifter.” He said shocking me completely.
“You see, while you, an alpha can be able to make a pack member submit, you can never make any werewolf who is in your rank or isn’t a werewolf submit, but she can. She can also imprint.” Charles said as I frowned.
“She can make you think and believe in something that is pure lies and false. Whatever she chooses to make you believe, is what you will believe. Thus making her the most powerful and dangerous werewolf breed to ever exist.” Paul explained as I swallowed hard.
Sweat was forming on my forehead and my throat getting dry.
Everything they were saying sounded fake and made up. It was like a fucking made-up movie.
“I know how hard it is to believe alphas, but they really did exist. To most supernaturals, they became a threat they had to eliminate. As powerful as a golden wolf was, it still had weakness just like any other werewolf has. And so they were hunted down by many supernatural beings and shifters, and the few surviving ones went into hiding. Some believed that they chose to blend in, in other unknown packs and made sure to never use their abilities, while others believe that they began to marry the lowest rank of werewolf in hope that their heir and pups would carry the lowest rank of genes and never the golden ones. If our luna is really a golden wolf, my guess would be, her mother was as well born from a golden wolf who despite being an Omega had a golden wolf gene’s causing through her veins. Thus why Mia was born a golden wolf.” He said.
To say I was in shock was an understatement. I was more than shocked and everything was so hard to take in.
“So you expect us to believe, that our omega mate, is this most powerful she-wolf in all the history of werewolves?” Landon asked seriously.
“Some of our on kind chose not to believe in them as well at one point. Do you know what price they had to pay?” Charles asked as I lifted a brow.
“Death Alpha. Most died. A golden wolf’s mind control is lethal when one resists. It first breaks you down. Then secondly, you lose your strength and begin to bleed, then your hearing goes down and your eyes sight completely fails you. What follows next is death.” He answered seriously as a cold shiver spread throughout my body.
“Fuck.” Landon whispered under his breath.
“She can’t really be a golden wolf can she?” He asked me through our mind link.
“I don’t know brother, if she is then we are in deep shit right?” I asked seriously.
“No, we did sort out our differences.” He answered as I swallowed hard.
“Is there a way to make sure that she really is a golden wolf?” Landon asked.
“Since at the coming of age she didn’t shift, that means her wolf isn’t ready to come out and show her presence. Luckily there is this form of poison that we can make, if she would drink it, it would easily break her down and make her go through unbearable pain. Her wolf would be forced to come out and stop the pain, that’s when we will see her full coat. And don’t worry, she won’t die. It will just make her go through pain.” Paul answered as I furiously stood up with a loud growl.
“Are you fucking telling us to make our mate endure pain just for us to see if she is what you claim!” I yelled on top of my voice angrily.
They quickly lowered their gaze to the ground and kept quiet.
“Get out,” I ordered.
They quickly stood up and rushed out of the office.
“Brother was that necessary?” Landon asked lazily.
“Do you suggest we go through with their fucked up idea?” I asked seriously.
“Well, if it’s the only way to know.” He answered as I glared at him.
“What?” He asked with a shrug.
“Fuck you.” I spat then stormed out of the office furiously.
