Brandon’s p. o. v
I walked into my office with a headache, I was feeling very exhausted.
The door opened and Landon walked in. He looked slightly pale.
“You couldn’t sleep too?” He asked huskily.
“No, not after her words.” I answered then sat down behind my desk and closed my eyes.
Her words played in my mind yet again.
“I really want to reject you and live my life. But sadly I can’t, you are what I want.”
“She’s actually kind not to reject us.” He said in a whisper.
I opened my eyes and looked at him.
“She’s more than kind, if I was in her shoes I could have rejected us a long time ago and walked away.” I answered then groaned loudly and rested my head on the table.
“Is this the first time that we have cared so much about the same woman?” He asked.
“Yes, and she’s not a woman, she’s our woman. Fuck I want to bury myself and never wake up.” I said seriously.
“We have to do something to earn her forgiveness, we can’t just be sitting here sulking. We have to look for a way forward.” He said.
I sat upright and folded my arms.
“We know nothing about women. Well pleasing them in bed is one thing and pleasing them out of bed is another.” I answered.
“Should we get her roses?” He asked.
We looked at each other for a minute then burst out in laughter.
“No fucking way, we don’t do such cheesy shit.” I answered.
“It’s not cheesy. But we agree on that, I can’t see any of us doing that.” He said with laughter.
“Didn’t she have a friend who was close to her?” He asked.
“Yes, she does have.” I answered while remembering that day I had heard their conversation.
“Should we call her?” He asked.
“No.” I answered then stood up.
I was scared of her misunderstanding the situation if we did. What if she thought of us as unfaithful. It would make us lose her for good.
“I’m going insane!” I yelled loudly.
“How about we blow off steam through training?” He asked.
“Yeah, that sounds good.” I answered.
“Then let’s go.” He said then walked to the door.
I followed behind without a word, we walked out of the office and went outside. As usual, everyone was minding their own business and avoiding our gaze.
I stopped walking when I picked up Mia’s beautiful scent ahead. Landon glanced at me and then went ahead where the scent was getting stronger.
I sighed feeling defeated and followed him. Our mate was standing next to Chris laughing happily.
I took in a deep breath to keep my wolf calm. We were wrong to hurt her but that didn’t mean we felt any different than before. We were in love with her and seeing her with another man was unpleasant, it didn’t matter if it was our right hand or not.
Christopher quickly turned and looked at us.
When we moved closer, he bowed and left without a word. Mia was about to follow him when I held her hand gently.
“Mia, can we talk?” I asked softly.
She looked me in the eyes seriously, that’s when I noticed the red colour under her eyes. Her eyes were slightly sore too.
“Were you crying the whole night?” I asked in concern.
“Why do you care?” She asked back surprising me.
“We care because you are our mate.” Landon answered.
She looked at him coldly then pulled her hand away.
“When you killed my father you didn’t care, so you don’t have to care about me.” She answered.
I looked at Landon feeling confused.
“We are truly sorry, we had no idea about who he really was.” He said.
“Yeah right, but you know what?. Your words change nothing.” She spat.
She truly was pushing me into a corner. We were at fault but that didn’t give her the right to treat us like she was doing.
“Leave.” I whispered seriously.
She looked at me surprised by my words.
She should have known that Landon and I were never the type to beg a woman. The fact that we were even trying should mean something. But she was becoming stupid to even realize that.
“What?” She asked.
“I said get yourself out of our fucking faces.” I answered.
“You followed me here.” She said on top of her voice.
“I’m done.” I answered.
“Brother.” Landon warned.
“She’s all yours.” I whispered then turned to walk away.
I stopped when she held my hand.
I was about to ask her why she was doing this when Chris mind linked us.
“Alphas please get over here, I’m at the park’s border.”
“Let go.” I said while looking at Landon.
“No.” She answered strongly.
“I’ll take care of it, you stay with her.” He said then rushed to the border.
I stood still looking at my mate who was now facing the ground.
She really was confusing me, I understand that she was young. And her being Luna was going to take time, she needed to understand and fully accept us.
“What’s wrong?” I asked softly.
Maybe a kinder approach was what she needed.
“Nothing.” She answered then looked up.
“You are very beautiful. With an attitude, not that I hate it, I actually think it suits you.” I said without thinking much about it.
She blushed and smiled.
“Can you ever forgive us?” I asked in a low tone.
“I don’t know.” She answered.
“Well, then can you atleast treat us as your mates?” I asked.
When she didn’t answer I continued.
“Then how about your boyfriends?” I asked.
“Boyfriend?” She asked back.
“Well yes, you are ours but we don’t want to rush you, we want to do whatever makes you happy.” I answered.
“Fine.” She said.
“Brother we have a little annoying situation here.” Landon mind linked me.
“Handle it.” I answered.
“I want to hear your opinion first.” He said.
“Brother, your decision and mine are always the same. So whatever you decide will be fine with me.” I mind linked him back.
“Okay.” He answered then closed the mind link.
“Did you eat?” I asked softly.
“Yes.” She answered.
“Good, then have a walk with me.” I said then grabbed her hand and linked it with mine.
“Okay.” She answered then walked with me to the border.
