To say he was speechless would be an understatement. He didn’t even hide the fact that he was staring at the small yet visible bold mark on Emily’s neck.
“Seems like Leilani will have to get rid of her obsession since Kral has found his Luna,” He mumbled slowly. Emily looked at him with a puzzled look.
She heard him speak but she didn’t hear the words he spoke. So she asked, “Did you say something?”
Mason shook his head sideways to indicate ‘No’. “I didn’t say anything. It was nice meeting you, Emily. I hope Kr…,” He stopped himself before he could say, Kral. “I hope that Mr Derrick will let me see you again.”
Before either one of them had a chance to reply, he had already left. Emily watched him leave with this sickening, sad feeling arising in her guts.
Ryan was very unhappy with the way her attention was only on Mason and he didn’t hesitate to show how unhappy he is. “Baby…,” He called out in the cute tone of a spoiled brat and Emily finally looked back at him.
“Have you met him before? Is he an ex I should be wary of,” Ryan’s rushed words made her giggle? “Of course not,” She couldn’t stop giggling while saying this.
“I don’t even know. I have never seen him until today. I was curious so I asked him a few questions which might have sounded hilarious enough to make him laugh,” she explained.
Ryan looked relieved. As long as she gave him the reassurance that Mason is not significant, he has nothing to worry about. Momentarily forgetting about where they were, Ryan leaned in and laid his head on her shoulder.
Their intimate action didn’t go unnoticed. Everyone with mixed reactions. Leilani gritted her teeth angrily as she charged forward. She was unexpectedly held back by her brother.
“Mason… Let me go. How dare that mere human to try to steal him away from me?” She struggled in Mason’s arms. She was rational enough to know that she shouldn’t yell so she was saying all these to Mason in a hushed tone.
The latter almost rolled his eyes in amusement. What’s there to cry about spilt milk? He’s already been stolen… No, let’s say captured by his Luna.
“As your brother, I would advise you to stop pining for a man that won’t even spare you a glance. See… Kral has already found his Luna and I am not sure he would appreciate another female pestering him,” Leilani’s mouth hung open when she heard this.
She couldn’t say a word. Her eyes darted to Emily’s smiling face with so much hatred. She has finally managed to meet him for a long, she would never have expected that someone else would have snatched him away before she even had the chance to.
And that too, a mere human! Her hands clenched tightly at the edges of her clothes. “It doesn’t matter. A Kral has never taken a human as his mate. I don’t think they would appreciate this piece of information,” Mason almost sneered when she said this.
Does she think their opinion matters? He is trying to save her from doing the unthinkable by herself and getting hurt but seems like she is well determined to get hurt.
“I’m leaving. Our meeting is over. Meet us there in five minutes or you would have to trek all the way back,” no one would have missed the deadly expression on Mason’s face when he said this. He wasted no time in taking his leave.
Leilani gave Emily a last lingering stare before following her brother. As soon as she left, Emily could finally breathe in peace. Earlier, she had noticed the woman glaring at her with so much unconcealed hatred and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t terrified.
Who was that just now and why did it seem like she had a grudge with her? Emily shook her head and looked at Ryan. Noticing how ambiguous their posture possibly looked at that moment, she pulled away from him.
“What are you doing?” She mouthed to him and walked away. Ryan followed her. How can she be so willing to leave her hubby when he is so unwilling to let her go!?

“Are you sure this is it?” Deli cringed and immediately put the phone at a safe distance from his ear. Her brother’s voice sounded awfully loud that it hurt her ear.
“Yes… He said it himself and I could feel the truth. I hope if this works out, I’ll be free to come back?” Deli sounded upset.
“That’s if we aren’t rendered homeless first. Make not to let go of him. We can still make use of him.”
Deli nodded, even though the person on the other side couldn’t see this. “I would have suggested you join forces with him since he so badly wants to get rid of that Kral bastard but he is quite a sentimental idiot. He’d probably run back any chance he gets.”
Her brother’s response was a loud grunt. Deli sighed and wanted to disconnect the call when her brother suddenly spoke, “Keep on manipulating him like you have gotten the complete truth from him. He’s got to be hiding other secrets.”
“Okay.”
“Good,” Then the phone made a tut-tut sound to show that he had already disconnected. Deli sighed and walked back to the room. She stopped at the entrance, staring down at an unconscious figure laying on the bed.
Scott looked like he was asleep but his facial expression said otherwise. His brows were knitted together in obvious pain and he kept on thrashing around on the bed. By trashing, I mean turning violently.
Deli walked to him and stretched her hand to him. The room seemed to be filled with an evil aura then as Scott slowly turned motionless but his eyebrows still kept on knitting in pain.
Seeing that he’d already stopped, she laid her hand on his forehead and closed her eyes as she fell into a deep trance but only a few would know what she really is doing.
